Ordered at 6:13pm and stood there until 6:35 before my order was done. People that ordered long after me got their food before me. The three cars in the drive thru were served along with about five other cars that pulled in while I waited for my food. Then when my food was thrown on the counter and my number called out, I stood for several more minutes because my drinks were not prepared and given to me. This place never had an adult working when I've gone in there and these teenagers cannot handle things by themselves. Terribly dirty store and not worth going to. I could've gone to a proper restaurant and been served sooner!

Got coffee from here today. The kids working here were nice enough to make a fresh pot just for me.

This is a good place for coffee near Lake Mead and Valley of Fire. Friendly employees and clean store.

Asked the guy at the drive thru window while giving my payment to make sure I get extra ketchup for my 2 orders of large fries.
Asked the young girl at the pick up window the same thing.
She had a bad attitude and said it's all in the bag!
      Well it wasn't.
Had to go back and park and get more ketchup inside.
      Bad attitude from employee
      Missing ketchup
      Wrong sandwich was given
      Regular Coke was tasting flat
Fries where good and that's about it...
This Mc Donald's definitely needs some better management and quality control.

With its mesmerizing mountains, canyons, and breathtaking vistas of Lake Mead; North Shore Drive leaves the motorist cruising through the Lake Mead National Recreation Area rich in adventures and memories. It is literally the road to riches. This road to riches starts at golden Arches.

Technically this Golden Arches abuts Nevada Route 169 a couple miles north of where it supplants the North Shore Drive name. In spirit it is the beginning and starting point of the North Shore Drive with the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. This is the spot to fill up on name brand fast food with a beverage before and after a drive on over fifty miles of rural road passing through a landscape resembling Mars or a hiking adventure in the Mars that we know as The Valley of Fire.

There have been a couple of times that that I have stopped at this Golden Arches. Let's face it, there is no Yummy Sushi, celebrity chef restaurants, or hot new places to yelp in Overton. With the exception of a couple of mom and pop restaurants and packing for a picnic there are two dining options at the beginning of the road to riches in Overton. Option A is to starve where option B is to surrender to the Golden Arches. My choice has been option B.

This is a small McDonald's. Adjoining the counter is a small seating area minus an indoor playground. In reality, an indoor playground is unnecessary when it is a short drive to the massive outdoor nature playgrounds featuring the Valley of Fire and Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Due to the proximity of these outdoor playgrounds that are rich in spectacular scenery and nature, the Overton McDonald's serves as an unofficial trailhead. Whenever I stopped here it was happening with the people bound for the great outdoors. The ubiquitous sign below the Arches that boasts "Millions of people served" ought to be saying "Millions of hikers served," in this location. The upshot is it gets busy.

Over and above serving the customers bound for the Great Outdoors, the Overton Golden Arches plays the role that a third place like a Starbuck's, Dunkin Donuts, or local coffee shop would play in Las Vegas. While enjoying McDonald's food, I observed locals quaffing coffee and briefly chatting with the employees. This included a McDonald's employee refilling the regular customer's coffee.

In contrast to some of the negative experiences that people have written about this very McDonald's, mine have been positive. Subconsciously I know that a McDonald's breakfast or lunch grub such as a cheeseburger and Big Mac beats hiking on a starving stomach. Consciously, I appreciated that the two cheeseburger meal costed the exact here as it did in a fast food strip in Las Vegas. Kudos to no price gouging. Additionally, I appreciated that the employee, who was pleasant by the way, brought my food to the table. Most of all I appreciated relaxing while filling up my belly during an outdoor adventure.

The road to riches starts and ends at the Overton Golden Arches instead of at a Yummy Sushi, celebrity chef restaurant, or hot new business. Although McDonald's is no food for a millionaire, when you fill up at the Golden Arches your taste buds and appetite will strike it rich.

This is the only place in town where you can get something to eat at 10.00pm at night. For that I am very grateful. The staff is courteous and helpful and the place clean. For operations and service I rate it a 5 star.

For the availability of healthy food choices it is a zero. There were a few token salads. I had the southwest salad which had cheese and some grilled chicken on top of a handful of lettuce and corn. This was not a dinner salad but closer to a side salad.

Wake up Ronald, times have changed. After having served billions of artery clogging meals, it is time to serve healthier options. How about a few vegan options that are tasty, healthy and filling. That is probably too much to ask but one can always hope.

The standard McDonalds food the same, service is good, place is clean, when you just need a meal it just find. They have some young employees that are just great, and is good training for them. They also have a good drivethru.

Grew up here and I remember when this McDonald's was built. Even worked at this McDonald's for a time in high school. I've had the unique perspective of watching its steady decline over the years. Dry food is the thought I have about every time I visit.

5 stars for a McDonald's? Yup. First, let's establish that this is a McDonald's, not Bobby Flay's Burger Palace, or some world's best organic salad bistro. Got it? Good.
To the morons reviewing this place writing about vegan crap and salad, I hope you get explosive diarrhea. Should I go to a vegan joint and complain there is no Fried Chicken and Hot Dogs? No. I'd be a total A-hole, right? Yep, now you know what you are, and how most people see your review, dummies.
So I'm driving for what seems to be hours over a sun and sand blasted terrain looking for something to eat, and hoping to find a clean restroom in an air conditioned building that marvels in comparison to a gas station port a potty.
Did you know it's 92 F'n degrees here today? It's September 30th, HELLOooo, summer is supposed to be over! My knuckles are getting burnt from holding the steering wheel and I need to get off this road to hell and back to the PNW. Is that salvation I see, yes, yes it is. Behold, one of the most recognizable symbols in America, the Golden Arches. Do you know why I'm so excited to find this Micky D's, other than it being the only convenient fast food place in this small town? Because I know what McDonald's is, and should be. It's a safety net, a favorite blanket, an expectation, a familiar smell, a menu I know without looking, a tool that never fails you, and I have arrived!
This McDonald's is just what I needed, and more. As soon as I walk in the cold air hits me, aaaaahhhhh. It's looks like McDonald's, it smells like McDonald's, and it sounds like McDonald's. Just like going back to visit a relative that you only see every few years or so and secretly hope everything froze in time and stayed the same. I head to the restroom and notice the floors are clean and there is no trash laying around. The restroom is clean, stocked, graffiti free, and crisp. Finding this on a road trip in the middle of the desert is worth 5 stars on it's own. Oh, and they have Men's AND a Women's restroom! Thank my lucky stars because I firmly believe men and women should keep their bathroom activities apart. You know I'm right!
Now for the next challenge, getting some grub. I hope there are no young pretentious hipster types at the counter. Oh snap, clear eyed, young smiling faces at the counter. Holy sh*t, have I died and gone to heaven?
I order some food and realize I forgot my reading glasses. I ask the young lady if she can recommend a cold coffee drink and without hesitation, without looking, and without a stutter or a pause, she begins to explain my choices, and also tells me her favorite!
The tables, floors, windows, and walls were all clean in the eating area. No trash overflowing from the containers.
My food was hot, fresh, and yes, tasted like MCDONALD'S. One thing I've always loved about McDonald's is those hot salty fresh fries, oh ya baby, get some! I haven't had a double quarter pounder with cheese in over 2 years, but guess what, it tastes just like I remember and I love it! There is no tofu, no ramen pho bahn mi, bahn you, bah humbug, whatever, no nuts n seeds, seaweed, gluten free cokes, yeastless bread, or special order vegan F'n salads, get over it snowflakes, or don't come here!
Sometimes things don't actually have to be the very best, they just need to be the best at that moment.
Thank you Micky D's, I love you....
