Over a month ago 11/26/23 I placed a deposit on a matress. After 2 weeks of no communication from Matress Liquidation, I went in to check on my order.
Erik advised it had arrived and I could pay and the matress would be delivered same week. Upon arrival, I advised the delivery person that it was the wrong matress. After trying it out, I called, and there was no response, so I went back to the store and advised Erik the matress had been delivered. He said he'd order the correct one, and he would be in touch.
After waiting 2 more weeks and several attempts at phone communication, I go back to the store again. I ask for a refund or the bed. Erik said we'll pick up the bed and then give me a refund on 12/26/2023. The bed was picked up on 12/27/2023. I received no refund. I contacted him via phone 12/28/23, and he said he would zelle me back, and I received no refund. I went back to the store 12/28 to find another woman also asking for a refund who he had promised a refund to as well.
On 12/28/23, Erik refused to zelle me, although he had accepted my money via zelle directly to his personal account. He would only refund me via credit card. I called the bank, and they confirmed they could see a pending transaction only waiting for the merchant to release the funds.
Today, 1/4/2024, I called the store again to let them know I still have not received my refund of $850. Armando in sales told me he didn't know how to release the funds on a pending refund that their business had nothing to do with it. His words were, "Tell me how to do it because i dont know how." These men are crooks and have absolutely no problem taking advantage of customers.
****Update *****
After posting this review and multiple trips to the store for my refund, I finally received it per the response of the business below. Please note that he himself admits that after promising a refund for 2 weeks since (12/26), I did not receive it until 1/9.

On 12-28-23 you were given a full refund / after you cancelled your order. You signed the credit card refund, a receipt proving that fact. On 1-9-24 I confirmed that your funds were transferred back to you. Yelp is not an opportunity for people to extort companies on any level.

We visited the showroom looking for a particular mattress, they didn't have it but told us they can order it (and pay in full at the store) and we will get it within 2 weeks. About a month in, I called for a status update, they said they had it and we arranged a delivery date. I stayed home that day and no delivery and no calls from them. I called and they had no explanation and kept blaming others within their company (warehouse/delivery). I now think they lied about having the mattress in the first place and never arranged for a delivery.
Instead of the single mattress brand, we gave them two others that we would take instead, but still nothing. After waiting 3 months, we finally gave up and got a refund.
Lesson learned: only buy it if they have it in the warehouse, don't place an order because they have no control over inventory (yet will mislead you and tell you 2 weeks max).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Hello Mina, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. As you know, we experienced some delays in obtaining your mattress. You were informed that this mattress would take some time and it even took longer than we anticipated. You’ve always wanted / agreed to continually wait. On 10-24-23, I agreed to refund ½ of your total invoice and still ship you the mattress (when it comes in), in a generous consideration of the delay. After trying to refund you again (the balance you paid) just yesterday, you still wanted to wait. Today, you finally agreed to let us refund you and asked for additional $300 (there is a name for that move). After I decided to not pay additional monies, you decided to leave us a 1-star review. I wish you well sir.

My parents came here looking for a mattress for my younger brother who's very sensory sensitive, they shared what they were looking for and Erik was able to match their needs to the t. He was so invested and showed he really cared about their situation and preferences, he was easygoing & flexible, rather than pushy to just make bucks. You could tell he's a man full of heart and really cares about customer satisfactory, such a great character. Definitely recommend, lots of great options too! I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for with the help of the lovely Erik! :)

I have been purchasing mattresses from Mattress Liquidation for years and have been very pleased. My daughter Rebecca needed a new mattress so naturally I took her there to take a look around. Armando was very helpful and she thought she found the right firmness and had it delivered within a few days. After sleeping on it a few nights she realized it was way too firm for her and her husband and asked for the possibility of an exchange. Armando bent over backwards to take care of her and got her into the desired mattress and made her very happy. This is exactly why I keep going back to Mattress Liquidation, it's not just the quality of the mattresses but it's the staff that sells them. Thank you Armando and Erik for another great experience.
