Is this a good place to meet friends to watch sports on television?

      A:

We have a lot of TVs throughout the bar and dining room and love to host groups. We, however, do not turn on the volume to most sporting events and have music playing throughout the restaurant.

Came here for a burger and got drawn into the fish and chips instead. Huge fish potion. Looked so good I forgot to take a picture before I tore into it. The fish was crispy, clean, and not overly oily. The fries were crisp and good. The sweet potato fries were also excellent. Had a fair to large craft beer selection. Not the cheapest burgers you can get, but definitely not a bad value.

      Will definitely be returning.

Our family had the privilege (as it was booked 5 weeks out) to have Thanksgiving dinner at the buffet at Matt the Miller's.

The spread: fruit, cheese and crudités, shrimp cocktail, salad fixins', turkey breast, pork loin, green bean casserole, whipped sweet potatoes, corn casserole, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, relish, assorted rolls and biscuits, and finally an array of desserts including pumpkin pie and lemon squares! Coffee bar included, build your own Bloody Mary bar for +$10! There was also a kiddo station with tenders, fries and mac & cheese.

Food was amazingly good and the staff was constantly refreshing the stations with new hot food. The place was packed so there would be times when there was a small line gathered for items but overall the food was easy to access.

We'll be making our reservation for next year again!

Matt's looks quite small from the outside, but once you enter you can see how large it is. It is a more professional and fancy place, like somewhere you would take a date or go for a birthday meal.

We went here twice in a day, once for lunch and then again for dinner. For lunch, I got the Smoky Avocado burger and it was delicious! It came with fries and I finished the whole thing!!! For dinner, I got the Mexi Mac and Cheese which was also very filling, I couldn't finish the entire thing. It was a more unique dish, with lots of chicken and spices and veg and tortilla strips.

Everyone (both times) loved their meals. I honestly would say this is a very safe and well-liked menu, as our party got items ranging from the Chefs Panini with tomato basil bisque, to the chicken fetuchini pasta! Our servers were friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend this place for any classy outing you may have. It's good for seating smaller 4 person parties, and larger 13 person ones!

      Pros:
Easy to make a large group reservation
Good location and parking is easy
Great service from Olivia - she managed the table of 11 on her own!
      Loved the pretzel bites appetizer
Nice bar area and lots of drink options

      Cons:
My salmon was undercooked in the middle. Chef suggested medium but it was definitely rare in the middle.
Despite being a large serving of carrot cake, it definitely did not warrant its price of 22 dollars. It was dense and over soaked with sauce. Our table only had a few bites.
Food is generally good here, but they missed the Mark tonight.

      Pro tip:
The other desserts at 8 bucks are more reasonable should you want one.

I'm a bit bummed about my experience here. I've heard great things and I was looking forward to eating here for Restaurant Week. The service was incredibly slow; it took over an hour just to ask for our order and trying to ask for refills on drinks was difficult. For my meal, I ordered the steak cooked medium rare, and it came out extremely rare; it really didn't look like there was any change to the inside at all. I've never been one to say anything about a food order, but when I asked about the doneness the server did take it back to be cooked further. It came back out and was done much better then.

The table by us also had problems with their order, where someone's food never even came out. The order was somehow missing or was never placed while the rest of that table's food came out just fine.

The food though was very good. The pretzel bites were delicious and the dessert shooter (whipped cream with cookie crumble) was a great way to end the meal. The steak, once cooked more, had a great flavor and the side of potato was so comforting. The experience was not good which brought down my rating and does not make me want to come back any time soon.

Not impressed. It wasn't busy for almost 9 PM on a Saturday. We were immediately seated, which is excellent. The loaded tavern chips were good, and it was a decent portion size. I am usually not a steak eater when going out, but I splurged and paid double for what I would have for the burger. The NY Strip lacked flavor and was a bit chewy. I love grits, especially with cheese, but the cake grits were terrible. My wife ordered a flatbread pizza and could only eat one small section. The meat was also chewy, and the sauce tasted like sugary maple syrup.
Maybe they have good burgers and fries? I can't say we are in a hurry to go back and spend another $82 on a meal.

I think it seems like a glorified Applebees or something. The food is just meh. Nothing to write home about.
I would not go on my own and if my friends asked me to meet them I would try to get them to change locations. But if they wouldn't change I would be able to find something to eat and deal with it.

Best service, yummy food, my new favorite the deviled eggs are to die for, and the specialty martinis are so yummy, especially for the fall season.

Breakfast buffet was the worst breakfast I have had in years. Hotel breakfast buffets have more flavor. Employees and ambiance was great. Food was horrible and cold.

The food was cold. I got the fish and chips the breading was soggy. The appetizer was disappointing. They were cold potato chips with a bunch of toppings.

Went to Matt the Miller's for the first time this weekend and was super pleasantly surprised by my experience! Several items on the menu looked great, but we decided on the black and bleu flatbread and crispy fried honey chicken sandwich. The flatbread was perfectly thin and crispy and had a delicious sweet glaze. Even better was the chicken sandwich. The bun was glazed with honey and the sandwich had candied jalapeños, making it a great balance of sweet and spicy. I'd come back just for that alone, but definitely want to try other times on the menu, too!
