I hate to be basic like this, but some friends and I went out to have what ended up being a "girl dinner" recently.

Ya know what, scratch that, I will proudly admit that "girl dinner" -- a dinner mostly composed of several appetizers -- may be my new favorite thing.

And Martini Italian Bistro was a great place for this.

We ordered several: baked goat cheese, spinach al forno and bruschetta plus the caprese salad (definitely shareable) and a margherita pizza.

These came out quick, and our waiter was a help recommending what we should order.

My favorite was the spinach al forno and caprese. I could eat those any day.

We also got cocktails (of course). I got a cocktail with berries and bourbon in it. Would definitely recommend.

It also helped that we were easily able to get a table.

Martini Italian Bistro is a solid dining option in the Paddock Shops.

Pretty disappointed to say the least, we sat near the bar area and went in for dinner and drinks for the evening. it was almost 20 minutes before anyone came to the table to get our drink order. Perhaps should've been my first red flag!

We finally received our drinks which took a while as well. when the drinks did arrive we went ahead and ordered an appetizer while we were still looking at the dinner menu. The appetizer came out not only very good, but did not take long at all.

From there, another 30 minutes went by and always trying to not be rude or disrespectful by waving down the server even after those 30 minutes, he literally walked past the table without even making eye contact. Somewhat frustrated I was able to get his attention and asked "when you get a moment can you come back and get us another drink and take our dinner order?"....

another 20 minutes went by as the server walked past the table a couple of more times. At that time I walked up to the bar, paid for our drinks and appetizer and left.

in an hour and 20 minutes time one drink each and an appetizer. Not only did we pay our bill and leave, several tables around us did the same.

I'm not saying we won't go back as perhaps a slightly busy night and probably understaffed, I understand bad nights or busy nights.
Regardless, completely ignoring a few tables led to several of us leaving and heading elsewhere.

I give this place 4 stars for the food and service. Atmosphere is nice, fully loaded and it has that nice level of sound, where you can carry a good conversation across your table. I have been with large groups and recently just my wife and I. The staff knows the menu and the food. Our server was spot on with her suggestions. And as for Italian wines, nice selection.
My wife is Italian, and she likes the food, there is that. I gave 4 stars...and I hate but 5 Stars is for App, Entrée, Desert, Service and atmosphere. And well... They hit 4 out of the park.... the deserts seemed like an after thought.
IMO... and I stress IMO, an Italian restaurant should have a good Tiramisu, should have a good Chocolate cake or Italian wedding cake. And it wasn't. Unfortunately, it was Birthday dinner and made me a bit disappointed. If you are going to offer desert, you have to hit it out of the park. Its the last thing people will remember about the meal...got to be good.
Thanks Martini's, for a good meal. I will be back, love your Angel Hair Pasta and Meatballs.

Traveling to Ohio and spent the night in Louisville and found this spot on Yelp, we had a great dinner at the bar. It was whiskey Wednesday and with fabulous cocktails for a great price so i had a double Woodford Manhattan. The bartender was great had she had solid recommendations for dinner and wine. I had the Cajun shrimp and angel hair pasta and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Plenty of parking. If you have not been i would definitely check it out I don't think you will be disappointed

"Bitter Intentions"- asked Bartender Jason for any concoction he has been working on.
      This quaff is the bomb!
Knob Creek barrel pick, rum, cherry orange and angostura bitters, and cherry purée. Ain't nothing "old fashioned" about this one. Respect!

Had a great dinner last week at Martini's with a good friend. While living in Kentucky, we always loved visiting this lovely restaurant. The decor is classic Italian. There's a large very busy bar and an equally large dining room. The place was packed at 5:30 pm but our waiter found a moment to stop by, say hello and offer us a $7 martini. So good even for a lightweight drinker like me! I had a delicious Italian wedge and perfect bolognese pappardelle. The sauce was so hearty and flavorful and the pasta, oh man...so awesome!!! Mike had chicken Milanese. Look great. The focaccia with seasoned olive oil was great too. I had a delicious cup of coffee to end our night. Always love Martini's.

Located in a mall, the restaurant looks nice with a great ambiance. They were near closing ( I notice KY restaurants close earlier than in CA), but they kindly accommodated us. Very pretty inside and gave me the vibe of an Italian bistro.

Staff was friendly and efficient. The minestrone soup was good, and different than others I had in the past, but I liked it. Tried the shrimp scampi and it was ok- I'm not a shrimp kind of person. Usually I judge an Italian restaurant by my favorite dish-chicken or veal Marsala. A dish I love and make at home. This came out disappointing to me, because although it says this is an authentic Italian restaurant, this dish had undertones of tomato with tomato based sauce. I did not taste any Marsala wine at all. I was wondering if they got my order wrong as it tasted more like an unbreaded chicken parmesan?

The Marsala dish was served in Sicily with French cuisine influences. As far as I know, there were no tomatoes involved. The authentic nonnas also did not add tomatoes to this dish but added mushrooms( which was good and plenty in this particular dish). So for this dish, unrecognizable chicken Marsala I would rate it a 2.3. Rest of the shrimp pastas 2.5 ( 2 dishes)and minestrone 3.0. Bread was good. So 2.6 overall for the food is where it counts. Rounded up to a 3 star for wonderful staff, accommodating us even though near closing and pretty restaurant and ambiance.
