Marshalls

I love to shop Marshalls for the good deals but every time I enter this store I have to deal with rude dismissive sales people and their merchandise priced/tag incorrectly... I shop bc I like the deals and sale shopping NOT to be felt as though I did something once I get to the register... that ruins my whole shopping experience... the selection is a hit or miss... but worth the miss at this location... go to another marshalls or the TJ maxx in Manassas--- way more pleasant experience...

For a small sized Marshalls, this store is good. No, the selection is not there, but the staff is friendly and helpful. I often go there to casually look around and often find good bargains.

This is a very good Marshall's. They are my favorite discount store to shop at, and I can usually find good brand-name items at a great price. But like most discount stores, Marshall's can be a big disorganized and, depending on the location, dingy. I typically go to the one in Glen Burnie (MD) - see my review for their store - when visiting my friend in the area, as that Marshall's is probably the best I have ever been to - meaning that it is mostly clean, somewhat organized, and the employees aren't completely useless.

However, I stopped here on a whim Friday night, before we hit up our favorite sushi spot in Manassas, which is in the same shopping center. This Marshall's blew me away - it was incredibly clean and extremely well-organized. I can't speak for the staff as I didn't buy anything or interact with them, because they did not have the brand of chili powder that I like that the one in Glen Burnie usually has. But that's fine - I understand that inventory at discount stores vary greatly and it's a bit of a crap shoot to find something. The fact that this Marshall's is so clean and organized means I won't wait until my next trip to Maryland to go to Marshall's - the one in Manassas is just as inviting.

You get what you pay for! I am an avid shopper of Home Goods, TJ Max and Marshalls. I had a TJMAX card and purchase close to $1,000-$1,500 on this card monthly at their stores and other stores, but I cut this card up and cancelled it. I will no longer go to the Marsalls in Manassas VA. My problem with this particular location is the staff and the store is not clean. I will be going to TJMAX and Home Goods instead of this Marshalls

1. They never informed me when I purchased multiple Halloween costumes that they do not return any costumes after Halloween. If they had, I would have chosen only one for my niece, instead of buying multiple costumes to see which she would like. I am now stuck with three Halloween costumes in a size 4T : /

2. If you try and return ANYTHING that they no longer have in stock and you dont have the receipt, you are out of luck. Even if you have a tjmax card they cant find a record of your purchase. Even Target can track your purchases and you dont need a receipt with their RED card.

3. The TJMAX card only gives you certificates, which is fine because I shop the 3 stores often. But they only give them to you in paper form, so if they get thrown out with the statements, or you lose them then why have the card. The store should be able to track the certificates either using our act info or like Starbucks, they should be loaded onto our card. So I cancelled the card.

This is my favorite place to shop for discount brand name stuff. While their customer service is usually lacking, things seem to stay pretty organized. Discounts stores are usually pretty torn apart by Manassas shoppers, but this one usually has the correct sizes/styles in their designated areas.

They always have great Calvin Klein, New Balance, Lucky Brand, Under Armor, Polo, Tommy, etc stuff. Great workout clothes/accessories, and housewares. I always check Marshalls for linens and high thread count bedding before anywhere else, because I can usually find all the colors/styles I want for A LOT cheaper than anywhere else.

This particular Marshalls in Manassas is horrible in Customer Service and that goes from top to bottom. The store manager, Connie, is just as rude as the employees. Doesn't even care to correct the problems. I've shopped in this store a total of three times. Even though it isn't the cleanest Marshalls store, you can find some good deals here. I would suggest the TJ Maxx in this area, it is cleaner and has about the same good deals. If I could rate this store from 1-10, it would be a -1, just because the store manager should be willing to provide better customer service to the community. After all, without the community, Connie would not have a job.

Super clean store. Easy to find everything I needed.

Major plus: they sell Opi and Nicole by Opi nail polish for $6

If you go early during the day the store is super clean and everything is easier to find. However, later in the day the store is pretty much upside down on super busy days. I love their low prices and the great quality of their products

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Manager refused to help me with a return. Very rude and made me feel uncomfortable, making me feel like I was doing something wrong. Won't be returning to this particular store, have enjoyed other experiences at Marshalls in the past. Also the ONLY reason I marked 1 star is because I didn't have a choice to not pick one.

I don't think that this is the best selection of this store that I've been in. Everything was all over the place and on the floor. I think they could do a better job of cleaning it up and not making it as messy.
