7/27/20212 check-insI like the hotel so far. We stayed on the 9th floor. In a room with queen bed. I went to NY with my daughter to celebrate her 16th birthday on July 25th. So it was pretty warm in NY. Our room had AC thanks God! Room had a mini fridge full of drinks. But we didn't use it. I will add more after our stay. So we're back home and i Loved this hotel. Staff was very friendly
We were leaving to the airport at 5pm that day. So after we checked out from our room at noon, the lovely reception desk lady offered us to leave our suite cases with them and hang out. It was very nice of her.
Breakfast was very simple: coffee and cream, few puff pastry slices, muffins, fresh fruit. I loved the fact that they offered fresh NYTimes every morning! The hotel is very clean and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay at Maritime! - 2703680
12/23/2019I can't get over how cozy the lobby is, makes you feel right at home when you walk in. Cute boutique hotel in a cool area, right by a lot of popular night clubs and nice restaurants but you can't hear any of the noise. You can hear the streets outside at night but the hotel does provide ear plugs next to each bed. Such a cute nautical theme and cool port hole windows in every single room. Rooms are small but cute and clean. The bathrooms are also clean/nice with good quality L'occitane shampoo/body wash products and shower head is excellent.
The service was phenomenal, they went out of there way to really help us when needed and we received a free bottle of Chianti per room upon checking in which was a nice touch. Also free continental buffet in the mornings in the lobby which wasn't super extensive, but definitely enough options to make it worth while (yogurt, granola, fruit, croissants, muffins, cereal, coffee all day). Not to mention validated/discounted parking for the lot across the street which ended up being $43 per day.
Overall excellent value and great hotel in a cool location! - Peter G.Studio City, CA305
7/3/2021This is a very nice hotel with beautifully designed rooms, and a FANTASTIC location. One gigantic downside, the amount of noise on weekend nights is just overwhelming. I spent the weekend in an 8th floor room and the music from out on the street doesn't end until 2 or 3 am. Earplugs are provided, but only gave me limited relief. If you can deal with the noise, this place is a keeper.

7/25/2019Dreamy Stay
I had booked a room for my anniversary July 20th. We were treated like royalty. Mike at the front desk upgraded us to the penthouse suite. It was beyond breathtaking. The rooms and halls were immaculate. The design was very cool with a 50's nautical club vibe.
Later we were gifted a bottle of wine with a card wishing us a happy anniversary. The staff was very courteous and cheery. The views were beyond amazing as was the terrace.
The area is close to Meatpacking and the West Village. Plenty of things to do and see. I would highly recommend the Maritime Hotel and their super staff. Can't wait to come back! - Martin S.FOREST HILLS, NY1815515
10/15/2019Great boutique hotel in a cool part of town. Small rooms but such is the reality of boutique hotels in Manhattan; actually most hotels in Manhattan.
Very nice service. Good housekeeping. Cozy lobby with fireplace and generally pleasant decor theme. Not much in terms of amenities but the value to style and service ratio is pretty decent. I like this hotel.
Only drawback is that the corner that the lobby is steps away from is a seedy, gross and a little dangerous late at night. I was approached by drug dealers almost every evening I was out there after 10:00pm. Lots of drunk club goers and lots of expensive but low-class nighttime venues all around. So the crowd out there is unsavory. Aside from this fact I'd give another star.
So don't bring the kids. If you're an easy going, tolerant and confident adult then it's a great option! - 31914221451
9/15/2019Interesting theme which compliments the small rooms. Great location on the west side and easy walking to the Highline. Docked a star because everything in the room is charged, even a bottle of water. Also the bed and pillows are soft - so be warned if you need more firmness.

7/19/2019Swanky spot in a nice part of town located near plenty of things you need! Chelsea Market is a block or so away. Clubs and bars all around. I love the nautical theme and vibe. The portholes in the rooms are mega functional and aesthetic. They seal off all sound from outside, you honestly forget you're in the middle of the city. I wasn't a big fan of the breakfast. For the price of the stay, I had higher expectations and wanted mire options. Other than that, staff is prompt and attentive. Accommodations within the room are very nice. I particularly enjoyed the selection of magazines when I stayed (Early June).

2/6/2020(Written in homage to prolific Yelp reviewer Tina C). Ghostly doings are not my milieu. Typically. But upon this eve I would turn my nocturnal gaze upon the palatial portholes of The Maritime. Once cited for its ghost sightings in the New Yorker in a piece called "Ectoplasm" from 2004. The author wrote, "Ghost sightings, reports of inexplicable noise (distant children's voices), and sensations of general unease among the guests have become sufficiently prevalent, according to the staff grapevine, that the operators at the front desk have begun to keep a log, recording each new disturbance."
But this is 2020. Had anything changed in 16 years?
I felt I must experience for myself these so-called proclivities for the paranormal. Enter the dark lobby designed as navy and nautical, library meets Titanic. Indiana Jones study. The Captains lounge. Where art thou peg-legged captain?? Blimey.
Up into the elevator and while claustrophobia consumes, a sense of spirit is not revealed. The dark, long Shining--like hallway was the spookiest experienced. Rooms, whilst tiny were not trivial. I imagined my dear Aunt Loretta enjoying a turkey sandwich at the porthole, regarding the sidewalk denizens below with disdain. I looked away. Sleep comforted and nary a disturbance. I would stay here again.Business owner information
