Peter, who until recently owned and performed magic at CCK up the block, has re-opened this smaller take out location. Â After about a month of delicious fish fry, wonderful steamed fish and some well executed by not jazzy American food, Peter has started offering high-quality Chinese take out and it is amazing! Â Wonderful fresh, flavorful sauces, delicate tofu preparations, fantastic veg, and hong kong style dumplings -- wonderful small thin-skinned purses of deliciousness! Â check it out
3 or 4 small tables for that order of crab rangoon and ginger-scallion shrimp you can't wait for or take away.... - 3138315786/29/2013
CLOSED. The four stars are for its new incarnation as Ocean Palace.

These are the same folks that used to own CCK. Â I recognize them, having been to CCK every so often in the past (and still go there for the new CCK too). Â They have a standard menu, but the lady, seeing that I was ordering dim sum, offered that they can and will still make items off of the old CCK menu... and she still have a copy of that. Â Of what I had, the hot and sour soup was excellent... scallion pancake was awesome - flaky and tasty. Â I wasn't as impressed with other dim sum items, they were very good, but didn't blow me away. Â Hard to believe this place, very unassuming from the outside or inside, cooks up a really authentic chinse food. Â Menu does seem rather americanized and offers various fish fries, etc. Â which I will try one of these days. Â Me and my lady friend did actually sit down for the dim sum service, even if the place has like only 4 tables or so. Â Good service. Â And it was a quiet but enjoyable meal. Â Owner (Peter?) came out to check on us too. Â Nice folks. Â I hope they do well.

I am really not a fan of take out since it is usually too greasy and usually below average tasting at best. However, I was convinced to try this little place and was blown away. There are many varieties of dishes to accommodate each person's likes and dislikes and the flavor is amazing. It is not overly greasy and tastes fresh. I am holding back mantears of joy as I am digging into my mouth-watering singapore fried rice stick noodle order. My roommates ordered beef szechuan style and an order of chicken and broccoli. The chicken and broccoli is fresh with a strong hint of garlic, complimenting the sauce it was cooked in, making it a perfect combination with rice. The beef szechuan style tastes of good quality and the vegetables aren't overcooked and soggy. The prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious! A must try for all!
