Magnetic

Magnetic is honestly a world-class tattoo shop. I have seen a lot of mediocre work from a lot of local shops, but this is not one of them. All of the artists are very talented and really care about the work they do, no half-stepping over here. I received a beautiful semi-traditional moth tattoo from Makile (pronounced like ma-Kyle for when you call to request him) and could not have been happier with the experience. I emailed the shop with some pretty specific ideas about what I would like my tattoo to look like (I've learned to be picky - its on you forever!) and he was entirely accommodating. He incorporated all my ideas and was super nice about my request to re-size it several times to fit in nicely with other work I already have. He took his time laying out supplies and keeping everything super clean and tidy while he worked. When the time came to actually get stabbed with a needle several thousand times in a row, he worked quickly and efficiently, keeping suffering to a minimum.

As for the tattoo itself - it turned out better than I had pictured. The lines are smooth and bold, the shading is dark, and the color pops. Beautiful attention to detail! I will also mention that the price was below what I expected to pay, but that was just a bonus.

Makile is going to be my go-to guy from now on, 10/10 would absolutely recommend. The dude just knows what he is doing and does it well and with confidence. Zero complaints, and this is coming from a skilled complainer.

I've gotten two tattoos here from Cambria, they're beautifully done but one of them is clearly a stolen design from another artist, I asked for original art and later found an older piece of artwork online that my tattoo is very clearly partly traced from. If I were to put the design over my tattoo, half of it would be as if it was copied and pasted.

I stopped going to Magnetic when they refused to tattoo my hand. I get it, artists can absolutely refuse to do something. I wanted a bee the size of a quarter on my hand and assured them as a 45 yr old woman in the same industry for over 20 yrs, it was not a job killer but I was told it was shop policy - no hand tattoos. My ex husband took this as a challenge, went in a few days later in long sleeves so you couldn't even see if he had other tattoos and asked for a hand tattoo. He got a 4 in old school anchor on his hand - no questions asked.

I guess it's just shop policy for women?

Hard pass on Magnetic despite 6 tattoos i have from them.

I have been planning on getting a tattoo that I designed 4 years ago for my mother and father. I went into magnetic and a "gentlemen" named Michael proceeded to be rude a degrade my design. I told him if he draw it up better I would get it from him. I paid him $80 to draw up a picture with markers which looked like a child could have drew. It looked terrible, and he wouldn't even let me take a picture of his little drawing because it's against their policy. Do not go here, but if you do, sure as hell do not get Micheal. He is rude and terrible at his job and customer service.

Hannah is a rockstar and has mad talent. Great looking tattoo shop, a real gem in Fort Collins. Will definitely be going back to get more work done.

The artists are very nice and welcoming. Do not go to Cambria as an artist. She is very inexperienced and can't not do simple line work. I am disappointed with price I paid for the work that she did.

I specifically called the shop asking if they had time for walk-ins, showed up, showed an artist the tattoo I wanted and instead they wanted to draw it up. I understand artists wanting to not copy exact pieces and everything but when you as the artist, sketch up the tattoo in a whole SEPARATE ROOM than the person who's actually getting the tattoo, how do you expect the sketch to be anything that the person getting the tattoo would want ? I showed the artist a black work style tattoo and they show me a traditional/ old school styled sketch . I have over 23 tattoos on my body already and the artist couldn't look over at what I already have done and be able to tell me they can't do that specific type of work or at least try to sketch out a tattoo with the same type of style I already have ??? A waste of 2 hrs that's for sure.

So happy the bestie and I chose this place to get our tattoos today. We let them know what we were looking for and came back later in the day for our appointments. Hannah is great! She drew up some options for our arrow tattoos, and really, they were all great it was hard to choose! We decided upon a more simplistic design and she got right to work. They didn't take long at all, maybe 15 minutes a piece! And they turned out great! Hannah is awesome and I loved her personality. Following their other social media pages I was able to see some of her other work and wow! Highly recommend y'all come see her and the rest of the artists at Magnetic!

Went to see Hannah today and she did an AMAZING job. I got two small tattoos on my face near my ears and I could not be happier. She was so kind and very precise on where they were placed. 100% percent recommend going to her for your tattoos!

This place is great!! I called all over town looking for a place that would take a walk in and these guys were able to get me in. Not only did he do am amazing job but he also gave me a great price!! The artist took a good amount of time drawing up my idea. Also the shop was bad ass they had all the artists pieces hung up like an art gallery pretty sweet.
