Maggie Moo's

I have seen Maggie Moo a few times before and finally stopped in here this afternoon to kill some time before seeing a movie. This place is a lot like Coldstone and even has Maggie's "Fresh escapes" which are creations of ice cream and mix ins. I got rum raisin fresh escape which contained coconut and raisins mixed into the rum raisin flavored ice cream. It was okay but I wish I would have gotten a different creation. I was overwhelmed by the choices of creations and the variety of ice creams. One ice cream that stood out was their Twizzler flavored ice cream. Anyway, parking around this area wasn't bad on Saturday afternoon.

I was going to give it 3 but because they have a red velvet ice cream, can make an ice cream sandwich for you right there, AND because they have someone dress up in a giant cow costume...3.5. With all the other ice cream competitors around, Maggie's isn't the first I think of. But if I'm craving ice cream and happen to be around one, not too bad. I'm a huge fan of strawberry cheesecake/shortcake ice cream and Maggie's, though not my favorite, is pretty not bad.

so, I took my cute little niece here for some ice-cream...
it's similar to cold stones.
i ordered the red velvet (it was good but I couldn't finish it--and I got a kids size because it was too thick and got gross after three bites)
my niece got the strawberry ice-cream with sprinkles in a waffle cone dipped in sprinkles (she really likes sprinkles)
my sister ordered the dark chocolate with brownie bites...
the ice-cream is good, hands down. but because it's so thick, it gets gross after a few bites. oooh, and it melts really fast, my niece was covered in pink by the time she was done.

maybe because i'm more of a fro-yo/creme brulee/red velvet cupcake/macaron kind of girl... it was a waste for me.
but i recommend it if you are a ice-cream kind of person. (get the kid's size because you will get sick of it)

ice cream, its my big weakness. I love this place. I havent tried anything but the Vanilla ice cream. I dont like exotic stuff. I get mine mixed with brownies ( which is incredible, the brownies they use are very good, nice and chocolately and chewy. I also have tried twix ( very good) , reeses pieces (love it), and I think thats it. I have also tried the milk shake ( chocolate with vanilla ice cream) and that is very good too. I think the ice cream is much better than cold stone creamery. I have never been a fan of that place. The ice cream has an odd taste to me. There is nothing to not like about this place!

Like all other Maggie Moo's that I've visited, this joint knows how to fix up my fav. Cheesecake with strawberry syrup and chopped nuts. However, I'm only giving it a 3.5 since the service could use a little improvement. Say - a smile :)
