What a wondrous combo: crafted cocktails and grilled cheese. From start to finish the experience here was wonderful.
We had the option to just get sandwiches and sit in the dining area, or to eat at the bar with drinks--we chose the latter!
The cocktail menu included a wide array of options; there was something on the menu for everyone. I had a lovely gin milk punch and my husband chose a whiskey.
The cocktails came pre-mixed in their own tiny bottles--very novel!
The grilled cheese came next. Decided on the pulled pork grilled cheese and OMG was it one of the best grilled cheeses I've ever had in my life.
Delightful cocktails and scrumptious sammiches. 110% would return!

On my last night in Paris, I knew I wanted to close it out with a nice cocktail bar. I did a yelp search and this was the 2nd option as what came first I think just sold cocktails but was a seafood restaurant lol! I saw that Mabel sold a certain popular sandwich also so I ran out and grabbed an Uber.

I walked in and it was my kinda environment...dim lit with candles going, guy behind the bar that looks like he knows how to make many drinks, nice and comfy seating with people drinking drinks out of cocktail glasses. The first thing I noticed when walking in was the awesome girl working the griddle as she made some grilled cheese sandwiches in which this place makes to help soak up the cocktails that are consumed. I ordered a basic grilled cheese (there were fancier options) as she told me they were about to cease making them around midnight. The sandwich was pretty good as I was a bit hungry.

I grabbed a seat at the bar since I was solo and ate my sandwich once it was ready. Looked over the menu and saw lots of drinks I wanted to consume. I started out with 2 whiskey cocktails and one of them was called In Limbo and it was very good. I then moved over to a rum cocktail called Trader Who and it was awesome. Next move was the rum based milk punch which was my favorite drink of the night. My intention was to have 1-2 drinks and head back to the room for some shut eye before the next day's flight but I wound up having 5 drinks and leaving at last call around 2am...Thats how cool this place is and how good the drinks are. Staff seems really cool especially the nice girl that was making the sandwiches as she migrated to the bar area to help out after the grill closed. I would definitely return to have drinks and grilled cheese here.

If I could give them 6 stars I would.

This was literally THE BEST grilled cheese I've ever had in my entire life. My sister ordered the classic, while I got the pulled pork, and my god were they both amazing.

But the food wasn't the only good part. The interior of the store was adorable, everything about the decor was on point. Our server/cook was also super friendly and spoke English very well. The wait for our food was also short. Although we didn't order any drinks, I've also read rave reviews about their cocktail bar so definitely check that out too.

Basically, everything about the experience was phenomenal.

The Grilled cheese sandwich is perfect. This will be a staple whenever I am in town. The drinks taste great and the ambiance is relaxing while modern. It has a great musical selection that aids in the relaxing ambiance. Mabel has a large array of drinks and the servers are very knowledgeable about all things on the menu. You must check this place out.

One of the best cocktail bars I've been to in the world. Trust me, that's saying a lot. Tried many, but I'm super picky.

I love this place. On par with Bar stories in Singapore (a few points behind it nonetheless).

The drinks here are innovative & full of many ingredients. The music is absolutely ridic, eccentric, & super appealing (underground alternative & R&B).

You must go. I don't want to describe. It's an experience you should take in & not read about. Bonus: they have grilled cheese sandwiches too.

Also, this is the 3rd bar in one night to reference the cocktail bar Mace where I live. It seems that each bartender personally knows someone who works at this supposedly amazing place.

I'm coming back to Mabel & I'm eventually doing Mace.

Incredible. My wife and I have spent the past year travelling around the world in search of the best cocktail bars and Mabel easily makes the top 2 in our book, the other being Bar High Five in Tokyo.

Joseph and Samantha have created something really, really special, and we are already planning to go back. His cocktails, the vibe of the place - and did I mention Samantha's grilled cheese?, they were all world class. I'm not a food critic so I'll spare you my attempt at describing everything we had, but let me just leave you with this - GO THERE.

A lot of travelers seem to have only one or two days in the city. If that's the case for you, here's a quick itinerary:

We had a wonderful experience at Mabel while on our Honeymoon in Paris. Along with Copperbay, Mabel lived up to its excellent reviews that we read before going. Mabel sets the bar high in the craft cocktail scene for quality and originality. We tried several drinks while we were there, and they were all fantastic - great quality and flavor thanks to imaginative ingredient combinations.

The Gaelic Buck stood out as one of the best rum drinks I've ever had. It was so good we ordered a second one before we left. And the Tu Seras un Homme, Mon Fizz was definitely the most unique cocktail experience I've had. It came with an egg yolk in an oyster shell with some BBQ-type spices on it. I was told to take 3 sips of the drink, down the egg, and that it would then change the flavor of the drink. My palette is not the most sensitive, so I didn't really notice whether it changed the flavor or not, but I do know that it was delicious, creative, and a fun little surprise. We also tried the Trinidad and Tobacon grilled cheese, which was so yummy.

The bar interior has a good ambiance and is great for singles, couples and groups alike as there is a lot of different seating options to choose from when you enter. It's cozy but not crampt, and is a nice place to relax and have fun with whoever you're with.

The service was outstanding. It didn't take long to get anything we ordered, and our waiter was very attentive without being obtrusive. When we first sat down he immediately brought us two cucumber waters, which was so thoughtful and really speaks to the quality of their customer service. If we are ever in Paris again, this would be a definite stop. Bottom line: if you are in Paris (or plan to be) and love quality craft cocktails - you have to try this place!

We haven't even had our drinks yet but everyone at our table is impressed. They served us cold water upon sitting down and brought out a refill of the bottle as soon as we finished. They were prompt in taking our order and taking care of our table. Can't wait to try our drinks and grilled cheese!!

If you are looking for very intricate cocktails where the owners take true pride & care in their work, come here. The service is spectacular, the cocktails show that they care about the product & are second to none. We didn't eat but the grilled cheeses look fantastic as well. Highly reccommended!
