Too bad they closed. Went here years ago with a friend and enjoyed the yummy lunch and beverages and just chillin' out.

I was in need of a local coffee shop with WiFi to do some work so I decided to try Lush Lounge. The barista was friendly, greeting me right away with a smile. I ordered the drink of the day which was a black tea sunrise necter latte. The barista explained that they were sold out of that particular black tea but recommended a similar white tea. I recommend they take the drink of the day off of the board if it's sold out. Nevertheless, after a few minutes my iced latte was ready. It was delicious with the sweetness of honey and nectarines and creaminess of a latte.
I was a bit disappointed in the internet speed. There were only a few other people in the cafe so not really sure why the internet lagged a bit.
I did enjoy the artwork. The walls are decorated with paintings for sale and the ceilings with paper cranes and pom poms. Overall a cute place to hang out for an afternoon coffee but maybe not to work remotely.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 3, 2018
After seeing my accountant, I needed a place to sit and work for a few hours. Instead of heading home and being distracted by everything under the sun, I went to my trusty yelp app and discovered Lush Lounge had been bookmarked forever.
After my quick 5 minute drive, I found street parking right across the way. You can park in the small lot or find something close by.
There are tables outside but since I needed to work, I didn't want the glare of the sun on my laptop so I went in. I was shocked to see it was empty. Empty. There were about 10 people...two groups, one of 4 and one of 6. It was a Saturday morning around 11:15. I expected it to be more crowded.
The inside isn't anything remarkable. Some tables, some couches.
The barista recommended a honey lavendar decaf latter. Sure! But please, make it extra hot because it was freezing in there. The latte was right under $5.00.
They did give me their wifi password but they didn't know it...and had to run to the back to get it.
While the honey lavendar taste was interesting, I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had.
Would I be back? Probably not on my own but if friends wanted to go, I wouldn't say no.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Dec 22, 2016
Okay now these owners have earned my respect. Not just because of their establishment but because of the way they run this business. I went to a private event after hours last night. I had come in only once prior and had a coffee and sandwhich, I didnt leave my review yet. Now after last night and my amazing respect for how they open up their doors to the artist community is amazing. This is the epitomy of small business helping small business grow. I love the ambiance, the structure, the message and the staff. I will always return, and make this a forever establishment.
PS coffee/tea drinks are bomb. lol I guess thats important too.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Nov 26, 2016
I've been a Lush Lounge fan since they opened their drive-through location by the Jack in the Box a couple of years back. That location has since changed hands (multiple times), which was a bummer because it made it easy and convenient to visit often. But this location is awesome. There's plenty of seats, a koi pond, comfy couch, and a much larger menu. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings there's live music.
The Chai tea and Acai bowls were my go to's. I still get the Chai Tea because it's good (doesn't taste like a powder) and you get a choice of milk types: organic, soy, etc. The Acai bowls used to be made fresh to order. But now they're blended in advance and refrigerated. A total bummer because it loses flavor and color. Plus it's mixed with water versus juice. And the bowl is only half filled vs to the brim.
Tip: Use the Lush Coffee and Tea app to order in advance and your order will be ready when you get there.Helpful 17Thanks 0Love this 15Oh no 0 - Aug 30, 2016
I ventured into Lush about a year ago with a friend for a coffee break. I'm pretty disappointed with myself since I didn't come back for awhile given I had a great experience! Lush Lounge is quite peaceful and offers amazing drinks as well as food. Inside they have a mini koi pond with a waterfall. I like listening to the sound of it while I dive into a good book. On the celling is a painted sky, hanging ivy, paper cranes, and hanging of cute knick knacks. Theirs plenty of comfortable seating options for an individual as well as large groups.
Onto their menu! Sandwiches galore DIY style. Plenty for the veggie lovers to drool over! They have an abundance of teas and coffee choices. Their Chai tea reminds me a lot of Better Buzz's if you like theirs. There's a mini shop of Lush swag and teas to browse over. Worth s visit in if you're looking for an easy oasis!Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 15Oh no 0 - 2612495553Nov 4, 2016
I just love coming here! I've met up with friends here but it's especially a place my daughter and I frequent. She's a mango smoothie kinda girl (it's too sweet for me & I have a sweet tooth)
I switch it up between the coffee choices or a fun Lushie!
They have boosts too like protein and CBD. I get the CBD oil to help with my fibro flares.
I like the new renovations and products offered. Things like mugs, vits, & variety of coffee and teas. They even have t-shirts and yoga pants for sale. There is a small koi pond & it's cool to see. Yet I kinda feel like the koi need more space to swim -- for how big they are etc. Perhaps a different kind of fish would be better suited for that space? I simply love the plants and local artists works up for sale.
I get their turkey apple sandwich. Sometimes with the bacon and sometimes without. It used to come with a pickle on the side but last time I didn't get one. I was disappointed about that.
There has been a high turnover with the staffers here but that's most likely because the kids went off to college or something like that. Since they seem in their late teens or early twenties. For the most part they've been attentive and nice.
It's a cute and clean hip place. You'll often find people working or doing schoolwork on their laptop and sometimes people are actually having a coffee talkie date.
I'm definitely a regular. Check it out for yourself.
*I'd like to see them implement more real fruits for their lushies. Not sure if there are additives to the purée used for my Pom-Blue. It was good that I didn't feel like I was chewing my drink though. I'm a sucker for super juices that are super/double to triple blended. For me personally the drink has to be smooth. Cheers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Danny W.Encinitas, CA490522413407Apr 19, 2018
One of the coolest coffee shops I've ever been to. Between the koi pond, couches, and plants all over the interior, it's easily one of my favorite vibes to post up for a few hours and get some work done. The hippie undertone of the establishment provides a really creative environment that I just love to spend an entire day at when I'm in Vista.
They've serve really great products that are conducive to a cram sesh as well. Both Bulletproof and cold brew coffee keep me focused and energized while I love the wildberry Lushie for a sweet treat when I'm stumped on something.
They even have the option of adding CBD oil to whatever drink is on their menu. It's the non psychoactive part of marijuana, but still, it's gotta be one of the only places I've ever seen that spikes their caffeine with weed. Lush Lounge for FTW!Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - Dec 23, 2015
Did not love Lush Lounge as much as I was hoping.
The vibe is nice, like the koi pond and decor.
Cute gifts such as mugs and shirts with their logo and plenty of seating inside as well as out.
Excellent sounding menu, though we really didn't love our blended coffee at all.
Pure ice, no flavor whatsoever, not sweet, no coffee taste, really a waste of money.
Hoping their other items are better and loving that everything is organic I might have to stop back in and try something else next time.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Sep 28, 2017
Oh, probably the crappiest latte I've ever had! I tried the turmeric honey one, and it was made with the powdered spice. I could have blended fresh turmeric with some almond milk, then brewed my coffee with cinnamon, and made a better drink. Just sayin'. This one was super gritty and the espresso weak. The steamed milk was completely flat.
The girl working was sweet, but super inattentive and slow. This place isn't one I would go out of my way to return to, though the ambience was soothing and relaxing- I dug the low lighting and living wall.
Pros:
- location
- ambience
- inexpensive
- lots of seating
- dog-friendly
- ceramic mugs for dine-in
Cons:
- weak espresso!
- lackluster service
- no house-made syrups
- flat drink, no latte artHelpful 26Thanks 0Love this 23Oh no 0
