This place is a small hole in the wall where you wouldn't expect a restaurant. However, the food here is amazing.

I got the smash burger and fries and both of these tasted great. The price is super affordable and the service was quick.

I'd highly recommend trying this place out!

The burger here, the smash burger was amazing. It's not the most scenic area, so don't judge the book by its cover.

I wish they had fountain beverage to serve, but overall the burger was delicious. I almost ordered a second.

I recently became obsessed with smash burgers and have been on a quest to find the best spot for them. My search led me to Lunch Bang in Santa Ana. At first glance, with its undecorated, rustic ambiance, it didn't seem promising at all. With it also being a Korean spot, I didn't think they would be able to nail smash burgers. While it doesn't quite live up to my favorite smash burger spot, Crack in Long Beach, it definitely makes my top three! If you're ever in the area, this spot deserves a visit!
I ordered the Double California Burger, and my friends opted for the Double Smash Burger. The difference lies in the toppings: the Double California comes with lettuce, tomatoes, and raw onions, instead of grilled. What stood out the most about their burgers was the insanely crispy and well-browned crust, which surprisingly retained so much juice and flavor. The Thousand Island secret sauce on the burger tied everything together perfectly. This burger is very filling, decadent, and insanely large, it filled me up for the entire day. The burger deserves a solid 9.5/10.
We also ordered fries that tasted like a freshly made version of McDonald's fries, which I absolutely loved! I give the fries an 8.7/10.

This was an interesting experience. Getting here was kinda confusing with the entrance being an immediate right on the street and driving to the end of the lot.

I walked in and it felt very bare with not a lot of decor. Once I walked up to the counter I saw the 3 people working hard and making orders.

I saw this place instagram and was curious about the smash burgers. I end up ordering a chicken teriyaki bowl and a double smash burger.

One of the lowkey best spots for a smash burger. Had a good bun and great char. They smashed the burger with the onions so it blended with the meat really well. Personally the sauce could have been better but everything was really good!

They got a whole Korean menu that I haven't tried but will come here again to try it!

Definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot, but don't let that fool you--the food is solid, especially the smash burgers. They reminded me of a take on an In-N-Out burger, with soft buns and a nicely charred patty.

I also tried the galbi plate, which was just okay. The meat was a bit chewy for my taste. It comes with kimchi, cucumber, and rice on the side. The kimchi was fine, but the cucumbers were too bland for my liking.

The prices are very reasonable. We got a double smash burger, a single Cali burger, and a galbi plate for less than $40. If you're looking for a spot with fancy decor, this isn't it, but it's perfect for a casual lunch. The food and prices are great, and the service is quick too--our food came out pretty fast.

Overall, a good spot for a quick, satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

I visited this small hole-in-the-wall with my coworker for lunch, and it hit the spot. Tucked away in a strip mall with the cringey "Oriental food" sign above the door, Lunch Bang is a simple one-room restaurant with a few tables, a couple of refrigerators of drinks, and a counter where you can order mainly Korean dishes from an elderly man with a smile of gold. The dishes here range from $10 to $20, and you can individually order panchan to share with your friends.

I ordered the bulgoki bimbimbap with a sunny-side up egg and a couple of spam musubis on the side. The musubis were made to order and were quite tasty, with a sweet soy sauce slathered on the Spam, but the seaweed they used was a little tough. As a result, I couldn't comfortably take bites out of the musubi, as the seaweed would never break, causing the spam and rice to squish out. One star removed for not using more brittle seaweed.

The bimbimbap was spot on though. The sunny side egg was fried to perfection with a slightly runny yolk. The bulgoki was sweet and tender, sitting on a bed of lettuce and flavored rice. The old man came to our table and gave us a homemade go-chu jang to squirt on the meat and stir into the bim bim bap.

All in all a fantastic place to stop by for lunch to break up our work day.

I saw an Instagram reel about their Smashburger and it looked absolutely incredible. I was so sad to see they are only open for lunch as it's rare in able to get to this area during lunch. But luckily a few days later, I was able to stop by. I'm so glad that the Instagram real showed the outside of the restaurant bc I probably would have been confused had I not seen it. When I got to the counter the original owners son helped answers questions I had. I asked how long they had been in business and I was surprised when he said 17 years! He mentioned that he had taken over around Covid and added all the items on the right side of the menu. And I'm SO glad he did because let me tell you... this is THE BEST smash burger I've ever had.

The price is right, the bun is fluffy with the perfect consistency, the meat was cooked to crispy perfection and the thousand islands dressing was to die for. Many other places use mustard type sauces on the smash burgers and I can't get down with it. This thousand island sauce is amazing! Oh and how could I forget about the fries? Huge portion, they were a mix of in-n-out fries meets R+D at fashion island. Iykyk. I can't wait to come back and get another burger and try some of the other items. The galbi is calling my name. I just wish they were open for dinner so I could come more often!

The burger is solid, very flavorful and juicy, not greasy and full of onions and pickles. The fries are similar to in and out , the service is fast and friendly. This is an old teriyaki food place and the decor is industrial in its type . I enjoyed the food and will keep coming back, very economical prices also .

Have been trying to catch this place on time during my smash burger phase; definitely not disappointed!

I got the Double Smash Burger with Fries. So much meat and flavor coming from it! I suck at eating a lot of cheese because I tend to get sick of it, but I added sriracha to make it even better. The fries were a bit oily, but not too bad where we couldn't eat it. They actually STUFFED the fries so we had so much leftover after the meal!

I went during lunch hour on a weekday, but it wasn't too busy. Our food did take a minute to come out though but well awaited! I have to come back to try their other options.

Solid burgers, oily but juicy. The fries are great, similar to innout/McDonald's hybrid. Great family hole in the wall no frills vibe.

Definitely would come back for their burgers
