The service at Long's is welcoming! Buying jewelry can be intimidating but not at Long's! Linda and Luke helped me pick out a fabulous anniversary gift! She loved it and that's the most important thing! Thanks Long's!

My husband and I have been shopping at Long's Jewelers in Peabody, MA for over 20 years. Recently my 86 year old mother was rushed to the hospital; I pulled her diamond ring off her finger to ensure its safety and put it on my finger. When I looked at it closer I noticed 3 of the prongs were almost gone.
While she was in the hospital I took it to Long's to be fixed. She had it since my dad gave it to her 63 years ago.
Joshua at Long's examined it, and recommended what to do. When I went to pick it up and Joshua handed to me, I broke down into tears. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFULLY DONE. My heart was overwhelmed thinking of my dad who passed away in Nov. 2022 and how much this ring means to my mother.
When my mother saw it, she was so happy and thankful.
For this I thank both Joshua and Long's Jewelers. You went above and beyond especially at a such an emotional time!
I will never shop at another jewelers, will always recommend you to everyone I know and meet!

Avoid this place at all costs.
I was excited about the thought of getting my girlfriend an engagement ring but knew little about the process. I walked into Longs Jewelers after visiting a few other places and I was worn out and ready to buy. I came in looking for a ring in the $8-10k range and was met immediately by manager David St. Pierre who said he had "exactly the ring I was looking for".
Initially, I was taken by the look of the diamond. But I didn't like the band and for the price I was paying, I wasn't convinced of the clarity value. Originally, David was enthusiastic, but when I started asking if they'd be open later that week so I could think about it, his mood immediately changed. He said they wouldn't and that the ring "would be gone by then". I then asked, "Can I come back in an hour after I discuss with my girlfriends friend, I want to make sure shes included?" His response.... "Thats the worst thing you can do. Don't ever involve a friend, they'll mess everything up. I know you're the type of guy who can do better than that."
I walked out of there disgusted with the entire process. Thank goodness I found a better, more genuine jeweler. But only go to this place if you're looking to be forced into jewelry you dont want.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Long's Jewelers in Boston is simply exceptional. I have recently had the pleasure of dealing with both David and Betsy. I highly recommend dropping in to see these folks. Customer service that goes above and beyond matched with beautiful product makes for quite the shopping experience.
As a younger guy newly in the market for a luxury timepiece I felt slightly overwhelmed. There was absolutely no need to be. Shopping at Long's was very welcoming. Regardless of what price range you are looking at you will be treated like a long time customer and friend. After being treated so well the first time I was in the shop I came back with some old family pocket watches for repair. I knew these pieces did not hold a significant value but you would never know based on how I was treated. It seemed as though everyone on the staff was very interested in my pieces and were happy to help me get info on them and have them refurbed.

My experience at Long's Jewelers has been met with top-of-the-class professionalism, knowledgeable insights and their team was very easy to work with. I recently purchased a new Rolex from Matt McCabe; he was very diligent with the process from examining the watch, customizing my links, and tailoring the experience to a personal level. Every timepiece has a story and buying a Rolex from the team at Long's was an educational and heartwarming adventure. As a young individual, what helped me best was when Matt explained the culture and process behind the piece I liked and what it means to be a proud owner of a legendary watchmaker.
Long's Jewelers also has a strong and robust team to help guide you to the best timepiece that matches your interests. John Marcello from the South Shore Plaza at Braintree was wonderful at explaining the intricacies of watchmaking from Rolex, Tudor, to Omega (just to name a few). I also had the opportunity to meet Jeff while talking about watches with John and it created a very dynamic conversation of interests on many brands of watches as well.
Learning from my experience at Long's Jewelers; buying a timepiece means more than just owning a watch. You will be presenting a story, meaning, and dignity that you can carry with you for the rest of your life.

I had one of the most wonderful experiences at Long's Boston about a year ago (I need to go in there Thursday and It reminded me I hadn't written my review yet). But a year later and I still remember their excellent service!
My fiancé bought my ring from this Long's end of December '14 but unfortunately got it two sizes too big. I went in to Long's a week later and was instantly greeted when I walked in the door and was shown where to go to be helped. The wonderful man (I wish I had gotten his name) was incredibly helpful and assured me my ring would be ready to go in about 3 hours.
This next part is why I'm writing this review- when I was told to come back, I asked them to call me to let me know when it was ready simply because I would have to move my car from a garage, and wanted time to find a metered spot with enough time before they closed. When I said this, the gentleman informed me that after they called me, if I pulled up to the front of the store and called them saying I had arrived, they'd be more than happy to have an associate run my ring out to my car (I'd just need to show my ID) so I wouldn't have to park.
I know it may seem like a small gesture but to me it wasn't. I felt truly valued as a customer and was so appreciative of their willingness to make my experience as quick and painless as possible.
Needless to say, only 1.5 hours later I received a call saying my ring was ready, and although I managed to snag a parking spot and didn't need them to run it out to me, I still left there happier than ever.

I bought a pair of earnings many years ago, lost one went back to replaced it, lost it again and went back to get it replaced again to learn via phone that the item was not what I though it was. I know for sure that was the only pair I had of that unique style so if it wasn't original was because what Longs gave me the last time was not original.
They gave me $50 trade and 25% off a pair that i didn't even choose myself and that it seems not to be the right size. I am a very busy person and don't have the time to deal with this, so I took it, but I am very disappointed. If you are going to shop for high end jewelry please go to Cartier or Tiffany!
P.S. the person who was supposed to assist me wasn't in the store, so a lady was "trying" to help and couldn't be more unhelpful and rude! Her manager took over and he was nice, but I am still very disappointed by the whole thing and what they gave me. NEVER AGAINHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
