We arrived for Happy Hour at approximately 6pm tonight and we were seated immediately on the veranda with a beautiful river view. The lights in the trees lit the Riverwalk beautifully and made for a romantic pre-dinner drink and appetizer.
For a drink we each had a Marquita - a "Home on the Range" with mango flavor and "Off the Saddle" with prickly pear flavor. My favorite was the mine with the prickly pear. The flavor was perfect, with the tequila being the star of the drink. The mango margarita was very nice, but I'm just not a fan of mango flavored drinks, so don't rule it out!
As for our appetizer, we chose onion rings because we saw some and they looked delicious. NOTE: I DO NOT like onion rings and never order them. I wasn't that hungry, so I acquiesced to her tastebuds. I KILLED the basket of onion rings, with my wife having a few!! These things were crazy delicious....super crunchy, but the onion was perfect and sweet. Just enough batter to have that crunch, but not so much I couldn't taste the onion.
If you come here, you gotta order one or more margaritas and one or more baskets of onion rings. You won't be disappointed!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 3, 2023
Nice ambiance for a Friday night on the river walk.
We sat along the exterior with a view overlooking the river which was nice and entertaining while the weather is pleasant.
We started with the chips and queso which was not that great. The (chili con) queso tasted a bit overcooked as though it had been heating all day.
I ordered the Fort Worth steak with mashed potatoes. The steak was properly cooked and the seasoning was strong and welcome; the steak was the highlight of the meal.
We also had the chicken fried chicken. The chicken was a breast that was moist and properly cooked. The breading was the right on the money as not too thin and not too thick although the flavor did remind me of the KFC original which I am a fan of.
Overall it was ok, service was slow, especially for a slow night but the food came out quick.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Smith Family O.Northeast Houston, Houston, TX93361837Apr 21, 20241 check-in
Good food, ok service but not attentive, casual ambiance. Great views to the river walk. We sat upstairs. Asked a waitress walking by for silverware and refills and were told she wasn't our waitress but would tell her we needed something... Bad customer service on her part. We spent a good amount of money there to be treated like this. Would not come back again especially because they weren't busy. Ordered Salmon, country fried chicken dinner and appetizers.

Cute restaurant on the river walk. Great views on the outside patio. The food is average but the happy hour is great! Beware the birds!

Otherwise, great service. Alyssa was terrific. So sweet and prompt. Our food came out crazy fast. Happy hour was legit! Would definitely come here again for a nice, chill lunch.
Bacon Jam burger was delicious. Perfect amount of sweet and savory. - Oct 29, 2023
This place is good on the San Antonio Riverwalk. They have a decent lunch special. We had steak and country-fried chicken. I recommend this place if you are by the Riverwalk looking for a decent steak. The service was excellent as well. It would be best to sit outside to see a nice view of the Riverwalk. I would go back if I did come back to Riverwalk in San Antonio. Riverwalk is a place to visit if you are in San Antonio, TX.

Waited for almost 30 minutes only to have the waiter come back and tell us that our order never went through due to a system malfunction. They gave us free chips with queso for the wait and we ended up having one of our meals free of charge because it was really bland tasting (chicken breast). The BBQ mix plate was not bad, brisket was actually decent. Probably better places along the riverwalk,, but this place was not too crowded and has an upstairs outside dining overlooking the river.

Horrible. Our order was wrong, but we proceeded forward. Mashed potatoes were cold and coleslaw was warm. Salad lettuce was wilted and lacked flavor due to obviously being old. Not a good time. Agree with all the other reviews, this place is a dive and has got to go.

Located at the heart of the San Antonio Riverwalk, y'all
The restaurant was busy on a Monday night on the Riverwalk. The ambiance around the Riverwalk was festive and people were just enjoying themselves. We came here super hungry, we weren't really looking for a particular restaurant... just anything that was open along the way. It was the day after Christmas so it was technically a holiday. The restaurant was busy but they were able to accommodate our party of 4 and we were seated immediately inside. Most guests wanted to sit outdoors with a view of the RiverWalk.
We ordered the following:
Pork Ribs Half Rack
Canyon Lake Fried Catfish
Backyard BBQ Combo
Luckenbach Pork Chop
The atmosphere was fun as it is along the Riverwalk. We even had a mariachi band play and serenade the tables (for $20). The food was just okay. I had the pork chop and it was dry. It's alright but I've had better. My Mom wasn't that thrilled about her ribs either. She said it was tough.
Oh well, it was nice to enjoy sights and sounds around the RiverWalk. A photographer went around taking photos of each table... we purchased the pictures for my Mom's souvenir.
