LOHO Bride is an artfully curated bridal boutique with locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The acronym stands for "League of her own," and embraces the owner, Christy's own taste and ideals in an immaculately crafted space. Beyond being just a shop, however, lies the brand's very specific niche: to offer an experience for women who don't identify with the mainstream aesthetic, but who seek an organic, comfortable, and easy alternative to dress shopping for their big day.

I admittedly put off going to a bridal boutique based on unfounded expectations and anxieties of the experience being a stressful one. From the moment I visited LOHO Loft and met with with Noel, those expectations totally melted away, and it felt more like chatting with an old friend than going through any sort of manufactured wedding dress experience. I really appreciated how thoughtful, welcoming, and understanding Noel was throughout the whole process. I wholeheartedly recommend making an appointment with LOHO Loft- beautiful selection, amazing staff, and a range of pieces that can work at a range of budgets.

Great experience, fantastic and curated supply of consignment, sample, and off-the-rack gowns (and accessories)!
I fell in love with a super hip pant suit and Savannah Miller cape/duster that was oh-so-fabulous!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sarah G.Walnut Creek, CA13414Sep 19, 2018
My LOHO journey started a few years before I was even engaged. I saw an article about LOHO Bride in an issue of C Magazine, and I knew immediately where I would go for a wedding dress. When the time came, I made an appointment at LOHO in San Francisco, since it was about a month out I also chose to make a few other appointments at several other bridal shops to cover all my bases. The appointment process with LOHO was a breeze, and I really enjoyed the questionnaire they have you fill out. It felt personal and made me feel like they truly cared about helping me find my perfect dress.
My experience at the first three shops before I was able to get to LOHO was not very good. I wasn't connecting with any of the people helping me, and I wasn't finding "the one". I really wasn't feeling hopeful or confident after my failed search attempts.
When my appointment day finally came, I knew the moment I stepped into the shop that this was the place for me! Kaitlyn was amazing and put me at ease immediately. She let me chose any dress I wanted to try on and kept all the selections within my specific budget. She even had my favorite, Beyonce, playing in the studio the whole time. She was kind and helpful with my Mom and Aunt as well, making them feel like participants.
I ended up finding "the one" that day, and I am so very happy I chose LOHO. I love what the brand stands for and Kaitlyn is a special soul. I could spend hours talking with her as if she was an old friend. She played a huge role in my wedding dress process, and trust me, after I went to 3 other shops prior, I knew how important working with the right person was. We placed my order and they were in constant communication from that day until I picked up my dress last week! I received email updates and plenty of instructions. They also gave a list places to go for alterations. I am now starting that process. I hope it goes as well as finding the dress did.
I highly recommend making an appointment here!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Carrie W.San Francisco, CA52172246Mar 14, 2019
Even though I did not buy my dress here, I really feel the need to write a glowing review for LOHO and Noel! I came here after a really full and stressful day of dress shopping and was really unsure about what direction I wanted to head in. I was feeling really defeated and down and had sobbed leaving my previous appointment so confused and overwhelmed. The minute I entered LOHO though, it felt like such a breath of fresh air. Noel welcomed my sister, friend an I in and immediately put on a personalized playlist based on what I had mentioned that I liked to listen to - seriously a nice touch!
LOHO only takes one appointment at a time so it was so much less hectic than every other appointment and you could really take the time to look. The dresses at LOHO are BEAUTIFUL and unlike any other dresses I saw while I was shopping. Noel did a great job of guiding us towards dresses that were in my budget and soon enough, we were in the fitting room. Noel also poured some sparkling wine for my group who got to sit on a really comfy couch and just decompress while I tried on dresses which they were so grateful for.
The dresses, unfortunately, were not what I was looking for in terms of style but I did try on some stunning dresses that I KNOW would be right for many brides including some of my friends. Noel was fantastic at making sure that my concerns were heard as well as listening to the opinions of each and every member of my group. She had fantastic suggestions in terms of accessories, fit and personalization and was overall, a dream consultant. I HIGHLY recommend all SF brides make an appointment at LOHO. I know it seems a bit strange to pay money for an appointment but after my appointment, I totally understood why they do this. Seriously, LOHO is the real deal of dress shopping and how it should be.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alex C.San Francisco, CA691Oct 13, 2018
I not only found a dress more perfect than I ever envisioned at Loho Bride but had the loveliest/most fun experience from my first appointment.
I knew that I wanted something atypical - a chic, sheath dress that was classic but also had subtle edge. Before I went to Loho, I probably went to at least five other stores where I felt like no one really listened to what I envisioned (or cared) and kept pressuring me to move forward on dresses that didn't feel right.
When I walked into Loho, the whole dress shopping experience shifted. Kaitlyn was fun and funny and honest. She pulled dresses I wouldn't have thought to pick for myself that I ended up loving and didn't try to sell my on the most expensive one or tell me that I looked amazing when I didn't. Ultimately, she helped me find an A la Robe dress that I love so much, I am trying to figure out how to dye and re-wear. It was everything I had envisioned and more.
Throughout the process, everyone at Loho was so helpful - thorough in their follow-through, responsive to my inquiries about when the dress would arrive, where to get it tailored, etc.
I would HIGHLY recommend Loho to anyone looking for a wedding dress - the experience is atypical in the best possible sense i.e. stress-free and featuring a beautiful curated selection v. an overwhelming amount of mediocre dresses. Working with Kaitlyn, also makes the experience so fun.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nicole M.Oceanside, CA255442Sep 6, 2018
They say things happen for a reason - and my wedding dress shopping experience is proof of that. After some miss-communication, a dress I was dying to try on wasn't available during my appointment. Initially, I was crushed and slightly overwhelmed at the thought of sifting through the rack of dresses that lay before me.
Because of the gorgeous selection at LOHO, it was a one stop-shop to find the gown I'd wear on my wedding day. The A La Robe dress I chose was made for me to wear, and I'm sooo thrilled it was there for me to find. I felt like a million bucks on my wedding day, and couldn't imagine wearing anything different. It was perfect, and the LOHO team was soooo sweet to check in to see how my day went.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Marce M.Larkspur, CA625Aug 22, 2018
I had an amazing experience with Kaitlyn. The store is beautiful, very private cozy and I got my dress in no time. I payed a rush fee though but they didn't charge me tax on the rush fee with was so thoughtful from them.
I'm a bride who walked in with 2 months for my wedding day, and I got my dream dress!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Becca L.San Francisco, CA061Jul 20, 2018
This review is for Kaitlyn - she's fantastic. She took a ton of time with me and was super attentive, asked me lots of questions and took time to answer all of mine, and was honest with her thoughts on what worked and didn't. I felt like I was trying on dresses with a good friend, never rushed or pressured. She was also very skillful at clipping me into the dresses, which I think is an underrated skill - makes all the difference in allowing you to see what a dress is actually supposed to look like on your body.
Dress selection at LOHO definitely runs more on the boho side, but their stuff is really interesting, unique and beautiful. The salon is also very intimate which is a big plus.
Thanks Kaitlyn for a great experience :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angela C.Los Angeles, CA05May 30, 2018
Christy is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped in the door to try on dresses, to the moment I picked up my dress - it was a perfect experience. I had several ideas on how I'd like for my dress to look, but I had not found a dress in the style that I imagined myself in - little did I realize I was a minimal kind of girl until Christy picked out a random dress that I would have never thought to try on in a million years! She has a great eye for fashion and the way dresses fit, and she truly helped me find the perfect dress that I didn't even know I was looking for! I fell in love immediately, and my mother and sister who flew out from SC to help me find my dress both agreed on the choice without hesitation (and they're a tough crowd!).
Christy was super personable throughout the process and was such a bright and friendly spirit to work with - she made me feel at ease for what could have been a slightly stressful experience - after all, I'd never had to decide on the most important dress of my life!
Ordering the dress went smoothly, and the consistent communication throughout the process of waiting on the dress to be made was fantastic. Christy and her team were super responsive, even with such busy schedules during the busy wedding season. Any questions that I asked were answered promptly, which made for a positive and calming experience. With all of the wedding planning going on, this was one less stress for me.
And as a huge bonus, my dress arrived to their Los Angeles store all the way from Australia a few weeks early! I was pleasantly surprised to have it arrive earlier than expected.
If you're in the market for a wedding dress, LOHO's beautifully curated dresses are a must, as Christy has amazing taste in design and fashion. I can't imagine buying my dress from any other shop, thanks to her and her team!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Crystal M.San Francisco, CA181244Mar 1, 2018
I've had two experiences at LoHo bride that weren't awesome.
1) I went to a trunk show there and they wanted to fit in more than one bride at a time so they put me in the entry/hallway. (I should note this is a single appointment studio). My friends barely had room to sit and it was super hot and stuffy in the space. I was literally walking around in the hallway of an office building to see how the dress moved. They also had a whole room of accessories and mirrors I was never shown/never saw. That said, I get it, trunk shows are tough. So I went back a second time.
2) I emailed LoHo to set up a follow up appointment to try on some additional dresses. The woman was very nice over email and confirmed my appointment. However, when I arrived, they two ladies were eating lunch and shocked to see me. They told me they were appointment only and I would need to come back. I showed her the email where she confirmed my appointment and she realized she never put it in the books on her end. She then proceeded to rush me through (since they had someone else coming in) and was rude when my girlfriend arrived to watch me.
Overall, for the price of these dresses I expected a bit more on the service side. Perhaps it was a comedy of errors but I definitely will not be ordering my dress from them. (I found another SF retailer that carried the brand/style I wanted and they were much more accommodating.)
Note: they only carry sample shoes from sizes 6-10. I know some other reviews mentioned you don't need to bring shoes because they have them in every size but they don't. I'm 5'11" and a size 12 shoe and they didn't have anything close to that. However, their samples are all around a size 6 which fit perfectly for me personally.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Janet P.UC Campus Area, Berkeley, CA01Nov 12, 2017
LOHO is AMAZZZZZZING! The boutique was so cute and comfortable! But Kaitlyn, the store manager, was even more amazing. She was super nice and made the experience so much fun. I had been having such an overwhelming experience looking for a wedding dress and Kaitlyn really helped me with the anxiety that comes with dress shopping. I can't thank her enough!!
The dresses were beautiful! Such a wonderful selection. If you're looking for something unique, non traditional bridal, and an awesome experience, this is your place!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
