Lobster. Beer. Need we say more? Okay, if you insist. Armed with a love of fresh Maine lobster, perfectly poured craft beer and unique dishes that utilize cheese, melted butter, and of course our favorite crustacean, we're bringing the taste of the sea to Culver City. While our dishes are high quality, our atmosphere is nothing short of relaxed, fun, and family friendly. With daily happy hours, a rustic setting, locally-baked rolls, and a rotation of craft beers, we believe good lobster is for the masses.…

8/15/2021Lobster & Beer has got its claws in me.
I was furniture shopping in Los Angeles and stumbled upon Lobster & Beer on Yelp. Since the name includes two of my favorite things, I was instantly hooked.
When I arrived there were QR code's on their outdoor tables, allowing you to place your order without ever having to enter the establishment. Seafood and COVID-conscious? Count me in.
I placed an order for their Lobster Grilled Cheese with a side of tomato soup. The server delivered it to my table not long after.
Weeks later I'm still drooling over this meal. The chunks of lobster were fresh and tasty, and it paired perfectly with the warm tomato soup for dipping. Foodies loves a good tasting combo!
I might need to make another trip to LA just as an excuse to dine here again.Business owner information

9/15/2021This review is regarding the guy who was working the counter on 9/15 at 2:50 pm. I didn't get his name as the encounter was with my mom, but this I know for sure.
We received a coupon from Lobster & Beer for a Buy One Get One Promo. Drove all the way here to have a mother daughter date and enjoy some rolls. The guy said "the machine wasn't working" so he wouldn't credit us the coupons... when asked what he would do to help us since we drove a ways to come here, etc he said "nothing you can just review us" very condescendingly (while NOT wearing a mask mind you.)
So that's what we're doing. Very gross and rude customer service and definitely not a Covid compliant establishment based off the guy they choose to work the front of house.
We can make a better one anyways, just was looking forward to not having to do the work. Off to Whole Foods for lobster we go.Business owner information

9/12/2021SO GOOD! We had a Connecticut Roll, coconut fried shrimp with this Asian inspired sauce, short rib tacos and Old Bay seasoned cheese fries that were so good they didn't even need ketchup!
The place is set up inside like it's a college bar almost complete with a Puddle of Mud guitar on the wall. What?!
But the food came out hot, fresh, and perfect! Can't wait to try more things on this menu especially those lobster tots!!Business owner information

7/11/2021Updated reviewThey now have indoor dining. My first time eating here, for Happy Hour. It was busy and had a great time.
Coconut/Panko shrimp - Yumm!
Lobster quesadilla - Awesome. Wasn't sure I'd like lobster with cheese but this is a winner!
Lobster grilled cheese - Amazing but the soup was ok and lukewarm.
Connecticut roll - My friend has had better but I like them. They drizzle mayo on top.
Clams - My friend didn't like. I'm not a clam person but the bread wasn't garlicky.
We didn't like the sangria (I personally don't like it bubbly) and Paloma cocktail but they were strong and cheap, which matters more, right? Beer for me next time.
The lobster tacos are also amazing with lots of lobster.
They did seem understaffed. No one ever turned on the heat lamp or gave my friend her chips and salsa after she checked in on Yelp. Might be because it's HH or they're adjusting to increased business. It's a wait to order your food inside but you can also use your phone (with an automatic 15% tip). Still the food, HH prices and atmosphere is great, and my cravings have made me a regular!
Bathrooms are clean and there's 20 min indoor parking, entrance off Palms.
7/12/2020Previous reviewCheck in on Yelp for some great chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and thick and the salsa had a nice slight smokiness.
I appreciate their attentive service as one of us has a garlic allergy. She was able to order a Maine lobster roll (untoasted) and I got a Connecticut roll. They even labeled our containers to clarify which had garlic.
The rolls are kinda small, just over 5" long but theirs is well-filled with lobster. Part of the bottom of the roll was soggy. This might be because the roll sat too long on the take out drive home. Overall I enjoyed it. $17 each seems to be a comparable price in
I kinda liked the lobster corn chowder though it is too sweet and rich for my liking. My friend liked it. Good amount of seafood, and I liked the chewy celery bits.
Their menu includes a few salads, and sides. Happy Hour til 7 and a late night one, with some outdoor seating. Inside is small and on the dark side with a few tv's.
They are on the first floor of an office building. Non-metered street parking on Motor south of Palms Blvd. Plan on going back, to try the lobster tacos or grilled lobster cheese, but maybe I should lose a few pandemic pounds first!
Corn and lobsta crab chowder- I liked it but wasn't a classic chowder. No taste or see much corn, very sweet and heavy creamy. Added milk and sriracha to offset sweetness.

6/15/2021As I write this post, it's National Lobster Day! When I think of eating lobster, I picture a restaurant located by the ocean as the ideal setting, but to my surprise I discovered Lobster and Beer in Culver City, CA! I have not had my taste of too many lobster rolls, but I do know my lobster, and the lobster here is fresh, tender, and oh so sweet! There are many types of lobster rolls, but my preference is definitely Connecticut style.
The Connecticut Lobster Roll has warm and buttery pieces of lobster, with a drizzle of mayo, topped with green onion, and a squeeze of lemon, all served in a lightly grilled, buttery soft roll. I savored every bite! The cup of Lobster and Corn Chowder also featured here was everything a chowder should be and more! The soup was thick and creamy, full of layers of flavor, and had a variety of potatoes, corn, vegetables, and so many chunks of lobster! I felt like there was almost as much lobster meat in the chowder in comparison to the lobster roll. I look forward to ordering a bowl of this delicious lobster and corn chowder next time and every time! They have a few locations, so I hope you get to enjoy Lobster and Beer as much as I did!Business owner information

9/17/2021Updated review1 check-inUpdate during COVID. As of 9/2021, Lobster & Beer is still going strong with a variety of lobster (and other seafood) dishes. They're taking COVID safety quite seriously, with outside seating and ordering from a QR code. Service is quick. I'm partial to the lobster tacos, but lobster rolls, tots, and mac & cheese are all good. They have a great selection of craft beers, some local.

3/11/2019Previous reviewTried this out recently when we were struck with a yen for seafood and will definitely be back. It's a frequent challenge to find fish or shellfish between the very pricy venues in Beverly Hills and similar ones along the PCH in Santa Monica.
Lobster & Beer has a pleasant vibe, like a basic lobster shack but with better decor, music, and a good selection of draft beers. Not surprisingly, the menu focuses on lobster: warm (Connecticut) or chilled (Maine) lobster rolls, lobster tails cooked various ways, lobster & corn chowder, and lobster-topped tater tots, among others. They also have several non-lobster dishes: shrimp cocktail, crab cake, mussels or clams poached in a white wine sauce, and some simple salads.
My friend and I split the (very generously portioned) lobster tots as an appetizer, and each had one of the lobster rolls. The chilled lobster roll is stuffed with a lot of tasty lobster meat in a light mayo & Bay seasoning dressing, while the warm lobster roll is perfectly grilled with a warm, simply seasoned chunks of lobster. - 3676302464
5/27/2021Happy Hour Monday thru Friday until about 7 pm! Not a bad place to get a lobster fix and some good drinks! You can order on their app or at the register.
For my meal, I got the Paloma Cocktail to start. It was really refreshing and strong. For my food, I tried the Lobster Tacos and Lobster Grilled Cheese. Between the two, the Lobster Grilled Cheese was my favorite. It was like elevated comfort food and the tomato soup was the perfect pairing! The tacos were yummy too, but not as filling.
It was a quick visit, but I'll swing back to try out more lobster goodies! I saw their Lobster Roll and it looked prime. Definitely on my list!!Business owner information

8/12/2021Loved the place and staff
First time trying this place and it didn't disappoint. Prices are reasonable, food is great. I recommend you ask for extra butter. Makes a difference. I didn't get the staff names but the waitress had such a welcoming attitude. I went in to order for take out, manage to take 2 shots because the vibe was great. Can't wait to visit again.Business owner information
