A small place giving local. The food was pretty good all things considered, the sauce was not rlly thick. Definitely lemony though and i always love capers

I came with two teenagers in tow at around 7 on a Friday night. The place was about half filled, but lively. At least 3 different customers were walking out with take out orders as we walked in.
There is a sign at the entrance that says "wait to be seated." So, we waited. I found it interesting that no one said "be with you in a second." It was awkward. A young busboy then seated us grumpily and took our drink orders. He must be having a tough evening. But he was working very hard, so let it slide. They should really have an adult man the entrance.
Bread came quick to the table with packets of butter. It was good bread - maybe mini ciabattas? Not your typical bland white Italian bread. I wish we have two baskets of them!
Our waitress came by about 10 minutes later and took our order. She was all buiness, but friendly. Like I said, this place was hopping and it was obvious everyone was wearing multiple hats.
I ordered rigatoni bolognese with a side Caesar salad. My kids got garlic bread, cheese pizza and fettuccini Alfredo with lobster.
So the salad was basic - but you can't get any more basic than Caesar salad. The dressing was obviously from a bottle, but it was tasty whatever it was.
The rigatoni was... odd. They had huge chunks of onions and peppers in it. The onions I was ok with as I love onions. But the peppers overpowered the dish. I recommend they save the time and money and omit the onions and peppers. Instead, a nice dollop of ricotta would have been better. They also need to break down the ground beef more. The huge chunks didn't absorb the flavor of the sauce and tasted bland as a result.
The pizza was an all basic. Tasty sauce, good cheese, nice bend, but the crust wasn't fresh stretched. They must use pre-made crusts - that's what it tastes like. Think big Boboli pizza crusts you get at the market. Not bad - but you expect better. I can make that myself at home.
My son said the lobster in his fettuccini was very rubbery and sauce needed salt. But he ate it anyway.
They didn't like the garlic bread, which was surprising.
The best part was the dessert as they get it from Modern Pastry in Boston.
Would I go back? Probably not. But if I was in the area I might do takeout in a pinch.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - S P.New Braunfels, TX10531Nov 3, 2023

Been here several times before. Food is usually great. Got a pizza tonight and was just disappointed. I was told 40 minutes to pickup, so I waited. Cashier was chit chatting at a table when I got there and then had to assemble the salad while I waited. That should have been ready given the 40 minute wait. Got home, pizza didn't look appetizing. I reheated it and it just wasn't good, I was really anticipating it.
So I would go back for other foods, but not pizza. Too many other options around.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Div P.Ashland, MA01Apr 13, 2024

Cute little place! Friendly staff, average service. I ordered the Eggplant and a couple meatballs. Food portion was very good for the price however the sauce and overall taste of the food was bland! The red sauce is salty as its the first thing you taste. I guess this is Italian Food in Massachusetts. On a scale of 1-10 this New Yorker who lives Italian wasn't impressed. I'd give it a 4 out of 10!

Food is consistent, service sometimes seems a bit hectic. Beware sometimes phone orders get messed up.

Came in for a late lunch/ super early dinner on Saturday to satisfy my cravings for some comfort food. Started with 2 meatballs. Awesome, with the right amount of sauce this time. For pasta, we shared an order of chicken marsala over linguine and an order of gemelli pasta with shrimps and scallops in a lemony garlic white sauce. The marsala sauce was very flavorful, the linguine captured the flavors perfectly. The chicken was okay, a few pieces were chewy, but overall, a very good dish, better than most other places marsala sauce. The gemelli with shrimps and scallops is the best, perfect lemon garlic sauce to go with this al dente pasta. The shrimps and scallops were very fresh. Oh, the services were great too! Can't wait to come back here again.

We started with broccoli raves with sausage. Great flavors and we soaked up the soup with their tasty bread. The pappardelle with lobster meat was so good, I didn't notice my coworker breathing in between bites. I had the shrimps and scallops with gemelli pasta. Almost made the mistake of ordering the Linguine's Special that would come with calamari and linguine. The gemelli was perfectly Al dente and chewy. Very fresh shrimps and scallops. The meatballs were good, just needed more sauce.
To top it off, ricotta pie and a cannoli.
Nicely done. Added 5lbs with this meal. - 441213103Mar 31, 2023
I come to the area twice a year for work and I refuse to leave until I get my linguines fix!
My usual victims are:
Ceasar salad: perfect amount, always fresh, and I love that they put the dressing on the side
Stuffed shells or baked ziti, great base layer for the INCREDIBLE MEATBALLS!!! I've never been a meatball girl until I had these.
Sausage: perfect addition to that base layer of pasta.
I usually throw in a couple sides, my coworker always gets a dish with seafood, the prices are beyond fair (maybe that's why I overorder and the waitess always tells me I'll have leftovers)
I will forever and always make this place my home away from home. Thank you for feeding me while I'm hangryHelpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shawn C.Watertown, MA6151Dec 22, 2023
So cozy, so authentic, and very accommodating. I brought my daughter there for her fifteenth birthday. She loved it!
