I'm not a vegan and I had the best experience eating a healthy plant based food. The taste is beyond what one expects of plant based food. The owner who served us is awesome. We ordered three different dishes and each one tasted amazing. Staying in LA another two days and for sure will stop by again.

Saw a random article about this being some bomb vegan food. Wifey likes vegan food and I'm a simp so we went here yesterday. Menu sounded good enough but I was skeptical to say the least...
The food here is awesome. My wife got the Mushroom Carne Asada bowl and the flavors were fantastic. I got the philly cheese steak bowl and it was also amazing. The mushrooms and potato hash work really well together. Yum. The Tuscan White Bean Soup was also great. Perfect since it was a little chilly.
The only thing better was the service from their staff member. Super nice guy who made us feel welcome, introduced everything after he found out we were first timers, brought my wife a blanket when she appeared cold, etc. Just an exceptional dude.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Victoria A.Round Lake Heights, IL10186Oct 25, 2024
#1 Vegan Restaurant in the country (2024) and they live up to it!
The most delicious vegan ganache I've ever had. They cook in small batches using Whole ingredients, never processed.
My favorite local vegan spot, thank you for existing :)

P.S. Service is amazing, the little dining area out front is cute, and the agua frescas do not disappoint.
P.S.S. Try the Lentil Chili

I've been here a few times now and the food is excellent. Hearty portions, really fresh ingredients, and everything tastes amazing. My favorite is the 7 Layer Slayer, a really nice burrito-type bowl with chickpeas, black beans, potato hash, and Mexican rice, topped with guacamole and crema. It's a big meal and a good value. The pumpkin curry is also amazing - a really good curry flavor with a bit of sweetness from the pumpkin, perfect for the fall season. The white bean soup is also an excellent accompaniment, though it doesn't seem to be on the menu. And I would be remiss not to mention the handmade frescas and juices, which are also really top notch.
The restaurant cute, relatively small, with a few curbside tables. That staff are very friendly and helpful too - I usually like to get my food to go and the staff are nice enough to bring it out to me in the car. All in all a great experience, and rapidly becoming a go-to.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 17, 2024
Very enjoyable experience!
I was surprised by how flavorful the food was and how filling the portions were.
We had the Philly cheesesteak and Carne Asada bowl. They were both really good. If you are thinking Vegan food would be bland and uninspiring, you'd be very surprised.
The owner is very nice and informative. You can tell he is passionate about the food and I love that he gave us flavored water to try and even a little sample of the soup he was developing for his menu.
There are a few tables outside if you want to take your dog, and I saw a lot of people doing takeouts on Sat afternoon.
If you are in the area, give this place a try! Def a place I'd like to support, you can tell all the food is made with a lot of love and care.

I LOVE this place! I was visiting a friend and she recommended we come here for lunch as I am a vegetarian. I was blown away by all the options and flavors. It's so hard for me to find meat substitutes at restaurants, usually they just remove the meat and then it's not the same meal. But here I could get a vegan Philly Cheesesteak Bowl or a carne asada bowl and feel satisfied with the taste.
Parking was easy and the service was nice. The portions are big and the prices are typical for LA. We did take it to go as there is no indoor seating, but the food came out fast. I only wish I lived closer so I could eat here all the time!

I absolutely loved this place! My niece and I continued our vegan adventures. I saw this one on Yelp and decided to give it a try after reading their story and checking out the menu. First of all, I want to mention that the customer service is stellar! The guy that helped us, I think his name was Albert, explained the menu in great detail and gave us recommendations. We had trouble deciding what to get because everything sounded so good!
What we ordered:
BBQ Jackfruit : I ordered this, but I honestly didn't like it. The lemon juice on the broccoli was way too much IMO. It overwhelmed everything else. However, my niece tasted mine and loved it. So I think it's just a personal preference.
Seven Layer: my niece ordered this. I tasted this and definitely regretted my choice. All of the ingredients were seasoned great and went well together. It reminded me of a Chipotle bowl.
Chickpea Tuna: I took this to go. I ate it a couple of days later. Everything held up really well. I was concerned about that. The creamy dressing on the chickpeas mimicked the tuna texture so well and tasted great. They cherry tomatoes added a nice pop of freshness to cut through the richness.
Philly Cheesesteak: we got this for my brother. He said it was good but only ate a portion. So my niece ate the rest the next day. She said the texture was really weird and unpleasant. So definitely eat this the same day.
Once Albert learned that I didn't enjoy my choice, he let me get something else from the menu. I chose the Seven Layer. I thought that was so nice. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy! We'll definitely go back!

Went back again & tried the loaded SoCal hash. Similar to the portabello "asada" bowl but with some differences & bits of potato. So good!!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 26, 2024Previous reviewI've driven by this so many times in the past & finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the mushroom carne asada bowl & it was so flavorful! As soon as I pulled up to pick up my order I was greeted from the owner outside - super friendly! He also warner me not to use too much of the spicy sauce, so I tried a little bit kept it on the side . I'll definitely be back to try something else on the menu but I highly recommend this mushroom carne asada bowl.

It's incredible what the chef is able to do without using any animal products, soy, or gluten. The agua fresca and the pressed juices were also righteous!
We felt warmly welcomed by Jason and made friends immediately. I can't wait to go back!
