Terrible customer service. Spent multiple phone calls with them where they just blamed other people / companies.
They built a house in 2018 without running a single underground conduit. This means that the house the built, in 2018, is unable to get cable TV, cable internet, or any other wired service. It's also not able to get fiber service. These services are all availe for every other house in our community.
This is clearly an oversight on their end when building the house but they refuse to even admit to it.
They have told me repeatedly that they don't have plans for our house, so I can't even work with other companies on a fix. Like it was build free-hand...
Unreal that a new home in 2018 is not built to have wired internet or cable.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Shikha B.Chicago, IL03Sep 20, 2021
Horrible company that looks for a quick sale with garbage work ethic. They built our house without any wiring or conduit to provide internet. Yes, that means that in 2018 they built a house and made it impossible for the house to get internet. We have called to speak to them about this issue, and they refuse to say anything other than "talk to the cable company" despite it being their fault, and their issue to fix. A shameful move by a corrupt company.

This is the largest purchase you will make! Read this review before using liberty homes!
First off let me start with the good. We love our home, and the street is full of wonderful and diverse people.
Now for the bad. To be honest we had one of the best experiences on the street and we would still NEVER recommend liberty homes to ANYONE! We had a framing issue when our oversized shower was framed in and had to fight to get it resolved after paying a premium for it. The house came within minutes of being painted the wrong color and only after the painter refused to follow the foreman's incorrect instructions did the foreman call me and we worked things out. For the painting issue I ended up leaving work and meeting with the foreman to get the issue resolved. Our home did not come with transitions from the carpet to the kitchen and bathrooms flooring and when I asked about it, I was told that is an upgrade. We, along with several other homes on our side of the street had a major issue with groundwater that was never really taken care of by liberty. We have seen a realtor, foreman and director all leave the company or step down because of the almost non-existent communication and unbelievably poor management. I have personally witnessed homes with no, literally NO insulation in the attic after the owner moved in and had lived there for months! I have seen homes with interior walls NOT attached to the floor and able to move several inches. Homes have stucco that have what I would consider severe cracking after only months. I have seen foundations that have massive cracks only months after the owner moved in. The list goes on and on and on. In my experience with liberty they will deflect, blame others, belittle the perspective of the owner but never ever take ownership of things that should be handled by them. From what I know and what I have seen you may end up with a nice home but get ready to go through HELL to get it! Dealing with some of the staff and upper management at liberty is like dealing with the slimiest used car salesmen you have ever had the displeasure to encounter. I have been able to catch liberty in an outright lie more than once and have emails and pictures to prove it. I have had things not fully disclosed and they are not what I would consider an ethical and upstanding business. Most things liberty does resides in that plausible deniably, grey area of moral and immoral. This sentiment is echoed by many of the owners on the street that I have personally spoken with. If you want to know what kind of company liberty really is, knock on a few doors on Park Bluff Way in Bluffdale and you will understand why (to my knowledge) 25% or less of the people on the street would recommend liberty to anyone. As soon as this review is posted, and liberty gets wind of it you will see multiple generalized sentenced 5-star reviews suddenly appear, I can almost guarantee it. There is so much more that could be said but I will end with this, DO NOT BUY A HOME WITH THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steven D.Salt Lake City, UT34817May 9, 2016First to Review
This rating is due to the superintendent that I delt with for Liberty homes. Marty was the most unprofessional contractor I have ever dealt with.
I purchased a model home from Liberty homes in West Valley City. The garage was an office when I looked at the house. The deal was for the the office to be converted to a usable garage. When I came to do the orientation on the house the carpeting in the garage that was there for the office had been ripped up but the glue was left behind. When I asked about the glue Marty became combative and defensive and the words" I don't care if you buy the house or not " actually came out of his mouth. He refused to do any extra work to make the garage usable. I had to fight with him to get him to patch the holes left behind from the signs that were put up in the office. Even then, he did the very least amount of work he had to do and left me with walls that need to be, patched sanded, and repainted. The man stated several times during our conversation, the least amount of work he had to do the better.
The realtor selling the home for Liberty homes, Brian and my realtor worked out a deal to get the garage floor fixed. The deal was for the two Realtors to split the cost of putting acrylic on the floor. I thought this was a very nice solution and I was happy with the outcome. Apparently Liberty homes doesn't care about their reputation or the quality that they deliver.
If you know you're going to sell a house with a garage and you use that garage for an office why would you glue the carpeting down? If you did glue the carpeting down why would you not expect to have to make it right when you sell it?Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Scott B.South Jordan, UT01Jun 19, 2018
Had a warranty issue and wasn't sure how to fix the problem, and Liberty came in and took care of it - quickly and efficiently. Their efforts not only solved the problem in the short and long term, but also made our home even more beautiful! Thank you!
