Les Kidz French American Preschool

Our 3-year-old daughter has been going to "les Kidz" for a little more than a year now. She loves it there! Lise, Sam and their team really care about the kids. They do all sorts of fun and educational activities and spend a good amount of time outdoors as well, hiking or going to the playground. My daughter can't wait to go to school every day and see her friends! I highly recommend it!

We trust "Les Kidz" fully, and have been putting our two daughters since they were 2 years old ( they are now 6 and 3). I am a french native, married to an american, and it was important for me that my kids practice their French at school and outside their home. The staff at "Les Kidz" is very professional and caring. Plenty of activities are planned each week like hiking around Mount Davidson, going to the playground, etc... My kids love their friends at school and us parents love interacting with the families as well. Overall great quality service and people, you will not regret it!

Our daughter has been going to Les Kidz for the past year and a half and absolutely loves her teachers and friends! We love the commitment to sustainability, great organic food prepared everyday for the kids, music exposure, and outdoor exploration! Lise and her team have fostered a warm and engaging environment for the kids and community for the families. We could not say enough great things about Les Kidz!

My child had been going to Les Kids for a few months. This is our first daycare so we thought the amount of days the school takes off for holidays was normal or that a 2 month notice to leave was standard. It is not.

They just want the most money from you for the least amount of work and this place was not cheap.

They include a diaper and wipes fee for $50 a month for generic diapers ... but some days my child would leave and come home in the same diaper!

Also an extra $90 for extended pick up time between 4-4:30 while most schools allow pick up from 5-5:30 with no extra charge.

They do not follow any covid precautions. No temp. checks, no mask or even washing hands. My child was constantly sick there. Between all the time my child came home sick from school and days the school was closed, my kid was in class less than 70% of the time.

This is my first ever 1 star review and I didn't want to leave it, But what happened next pushed me over the edge because it was blatantly wrong.

When we gave our 2 months notice on Sept. 16th, we had every intention in following the 60 day policy, making our last day Nov 16th to get our full deposit back.

I emailed them on Oct. 22nd to confirm that our last day was nov. 16th. The administrator emailed me back stating that our last day will be instead Oct. 29th and she will return my deposit. Obviously she's replying to my email so It was safe to assume she was letting us leave early.

After we left and enrolled her in a new school, they returned only half of the deposit because we left before nov. 16th.

I was surprised and sent them screen shots of our email exchanges showing that we planned to stay until the 16th but she said our last day was oct. 29th.

Their excuse was that my email reply was sent to their billing service and not to her directly .... Even though she responded to that email?? How does that even make sense??!

I tried to resolve this with them directly but when I asked them to clarify, her last email to me literally said " I can't clarify anymore than I did"

Avoid Les Kidz at all cost. There are lots of other great schools in the area. DM me for recommendations.

Our 2-year old daughter loves going to school! She has grown so much since starting at Les Kidz. With wonderful teachers Lise, Sam and Celine, she sings traditional French songs and invents new ones, she dances, does art, goes on hikes in Twin peaks, plays with the chickens, collects their eggs and bakes, eats her vegetables (yes!)... She's learning to be confident and autonomous - now potty trained, she even dresses on her own (and puts on her socks!). It's a joy to see her grow into such a free spirit - Les Kidz offers a unique environment to achieve that. Did I mention PJ parties? Every once in a while, she gets a couple more hours of fun with her friends (and popcorn), and we get a night out! Her big sister is a Les Kidz alumni, and loved it too - I can't recommend enough!

Our son went to Les Kidz for nearly 2 years and he absolutely loved it. The teachers are very caring and professional. Only a couple of weeks ago he started his new "big" school - LFSF - and we felt that he was very well prepared by Les Kidz.

Like everybody else we were worried in the beginning of the pandemic but everybody was very responsible and there were no issues. If anything Les Kidz became a safe refuge for everybody.

Our son's teacher Celine is simply incredible. We felt very lucky to have her. We were very sad to say goodbye

My son attended Les Kidz from 18 months through 3 and a half. I cannot say enough good things about this preschool. Lise, Sam and Mathilde care deeply about all of the kids and keep them entertained and learning. I am often stunned by the things my son knows. They spend a lot of time outdoors, which I love.

I did not know what to look for when searching for a preschool as this is my first child, but I found everything I didn't know to ask for. They are kind, caring, and my son was always excited to go to school and smiling when I came to pick him up.

As a parent with a demanding job, I also deeply appreciated the flexibility of all of the teachers. I often had to ask if I could bring my son early or pick him up a bit late and they always did what they could to accommodate me. That is a rarity in preschools and was such a help.

We had a phenomenal experience at Les Kidz. Celine is a caring and wonderful teacher and human being. Our child was happy, stimulated and developed strong friendships at the school. The small size really fostered that. Our son grew up and graduated to a bigger school, but Les Kidz will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

We absolutely loved our experience with Les Kidz and deeply appreciate Lise, Sami and Mathilde's the care and attention for our daughter. As first-time parents, it was hard to drop our kid off each day, but the teachers were wonderful about working with our questions and making us super comfortable with all the activities, food, friends, nap schedules, and most importantly her safety. Once the pandemic hit, they continued to work with our daughter via zoom calls 3x a week to teach her French and stay in touch with her friends. Wonderful place, we can't wait to go back!

We've loved putting our little girl to this preschool. It was really important for us that our kid would spend most of her time outside enjoying the outdoor, that she'd eat healthy and homemade meals and most of it, that she'd be with older kids. It's been so much fun for her.
Lise is the best teacher, kind, very respectful & with a beautiful vision for the planet. Would highly recommend.
