Stopped in since I was at a site visit nearby, went in w/o looking at the reviews prior because I was starving! Typical Chinese fast food joint except, its AUTHENTIC! Cooked by little ol Asian ladies! They also give you the option to upgrade to beef chow fun for .50 cents which is a WIN for me! ( That's the wide noodles with beef and cabbage). Lunch was $8.18 after tax. Can't complain! Portion will last me 2 meals! Definitely will come back next time to try their veggie items, it looked delish!
WORKERS LOVE TO TRICK YOU INTO TIPPING THEM The workers are extremely rude. Came by today because I had a short, rushed lunch. I was going to pay with a card. The cash register said $17 and then the lady who rung me up proceeded to charge me. I noticed on the credit card machine that she was charging almost $22. She rudely and ,VERY PUSHY I must add, said "click green button" and I said I didn't want to add tip because she did not serve me the way I wanted too. She said it wasn't going to charge me tip and she clicked the green button herself. After the receipt printed, she added a $5 tip!!!!! I confronted her and said I pressed the button, WHICH I DID NOT! It's ridiculous how she had the audacity to tip herself $5 when I know for a fact I pressed no tip. Please don't come here!
If I could give 0 stars TRUST ME I WOULD! To start of service was horrible , Disgusting & found hair in mine & husbands fried rice I nicely asked for a refund and she started going crazy on me that she would only refund one and give me the other plate I said no, I would never eat here again I again asked for a refund and she continued to say no until I advised her I'd call health inspection and she quickly gave me my money back , & said probably a whole lot of things in her language to me . Will never EVER come back . Save your time and eat Anything else but this.
The food is INEDIBLE. Do NOT get the fried shrimp!! Tastes like cat food. Rice tastes burnt, chicken is tough. Just go down the street to Chef's.
I had to take my dad to have his head examined (well, his eyes) after surgery last week. The appointment went without event and he wanted to have a bite of lunch and then do some grocery shopping afterwards. We went to the old El Portal Shopping Center, where coincidentally, my very first job was. Anyone remember SmorgaBob's? Anyway, my dad said we would drop into Lee's and I could order anything I want! Dear ole (note I didn't say old) Dad. Stepmom with us so she started the ordering. One of them got Thick Noodle Chow Mein with Garlic Chicken. The other got Thin Noodle Chow mein with Garlic Chicken. Always the rebellious one, I got Chow Fun and Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables. The service was quick and efficient. They really load up the plastic clam shell with food. The silly thing was probably equal to the 2lb weights I've been working with in physical therapy. Gourmet? Not in any sense of the word. But it was cheap, hot and reasonably decent. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but if my car broke down nearby, well ........
Y'all put down your chopsticks and read my important review. I walked into Lee's today and while I was waiting I witnessed the chef wipe his nose on his hand not once, but twice. His bare hand. He then proceeded to grab noodles with the same hands and begin cooking. The second chef was eating and spit a pit into his hand then proceeded to grab food to prepare as well. It was absolutely disgusting to witness. The worst part is I've eaten here before. Nasty.
HORRIBLE food and service. The food is so bland, poorly cooked (boarder line health hazard). There are plenty of places in the area for Chinese, spare yourself the torture of this place
Lee's Garden is really just a fast, cheap, really good fast food joint. Literally spent $8 on food there and it lasted me 3 days. I love their noodles, ginger chicken, etc. I go here when I am on a budget and want to be full and have left overs and not kill myself with McDonalds. I swear it looks sketchy, and I personally haven't witnessed anything out of the ordinary or gross. They have their food inspection which passed and is posted for everyone to see. I have been sick more from McDonalds than this place and that says a lot.
This place is absolutely delicious I enjoy the fast service and great prices & food for the lunch menu. My favorite is steamed rice and seafood with the fried won tons
The lady who works here is very rude. She had a attitude since we got there to when we ordered. The food sucks! Didn't have no flavor and the rice was all dry.. I personally will never return..
Food is ok , but 75 cents for refill the soda ? Come on !! Never heard of it . Will be more appreciate if server wears hairnet.
My cousin and I walked in and ordered our food. The lady that helped her was rude and unprofessional. The lady that helped me was very nice. We paid for the food and sat down. I ordered the chicken and she ordered the orange chicken. I took one bite and was completely grossed out!!! The rice had NO flavor and the chicken was hard with no flavor. The green beans were edible. My cousins food was just as bad. I grabbed the soy sauce to add some flavor and the soy sauce was in a "Sirachi" bottle! That is just disgusting! The floors were dirty and the place was just gross. We ended up taking a few more bites and tossed the rest out and left. I would give this place 1 star because the green beans were actually okay. Please don't waste your time or money on this place!!
Do not come here expecting expensive, or fancy Chinese food. You come to a place like this when you are desperately in need of fast, cheap food that tastes OK. In all honesty the place isn't much to look at. It's located in a plaza with many other restaurants and stores around. It is very small inside, with, trash on the floor, and every employee sitting down to eat and talk loudly to one another. When we walked in, one of them immediately got up to help us. They have a buffet line set up with a variety of food, and copious amounts of it. I went with their combo number three. You get your choice of chicken fried rice or chow mein, plus two other entrees and a choice between two pot stickers or an egg roll. I went with the fried rice, plus I ordered the Mongolian Beef, the Hunan Chicken, and two pot stickers. They are very generous when dishing you up, to the point where they can hardly close the lid. At $6.95 you get an amazing amount of food. With that being said, the food is very average. The fried rice was somehow had pretty amazing bites, and pretty bland bites. The Hunan Chicken was very good, but the pieces were very large. The Mongolian Beef was delicious all around, and pretty spicy I might add. The pot stickers were the most disappointing part. They looked good, but they were cold and you can tell they have been sitting around for a long while. I was able to sample one of their Dry Fried Ribs, which was the whole reason we actually took the trip out here. She ordered a big container of them, and they were very good. I couldn't see myself eating here every day, but if I lived closer, I would definitely stop by every now and then for a quick dinner fix. On a side note: The place she was actually talking about was literally right down the street. *Forehead slap*
Reasonably priced large portions. I usually get pretty full off their food quick. It doesn't last long you'll be digging right back into your plate. Careful about going near closing items aren't the freshest. Lunch time they can get pretty busy but they always get the line down quickly .
Wack! I mean the fried rice was just white rice with sauce sprinkled over it. You can tell by the way they cut the bell peppers they're in the wrong business. Maybe if they took a break from talking amongst themselves to actually connect with the patron or at lest stop shouting (what seems to be hilarious) way to the back of the kitchen I wouldn't have to keep repeating my requests aside from not once making eye contact. I don't know what kind of oil y'all cooking them chicken legs in but I been to the Smart & Final (damn near right next door) and it ain't that expensive. My peeps around the corner are waaaay! Better. I gave the one star because it was the lowest option.
Lee's Garden has a 2 item lunch special (4.85), 3 item lunch (5.85).pictured on their glass window. though the veggies weren't out yet, i ordered somethng to go. eats: fried rice with fried pork, fried ribs (5.85) -rice tasted funny, definitely day old. chow mein probably just as bad msg build up made me thirsty. a sharp turn later overturned my lunch, so i luckily didn't eat all the rice (yep, driving while dining. a few gulps per stop light). -fried pork, fried ribs just ok, a liitle greasy, too much fat 2.5 stars, 3ish for value take outs: -friendly service yes, should have passed. one choice should have been brocculi or beans....
Taste alright but it cheap. If you broke and tried of fast food this can be a good solution. At least their vegetable are real so I don't mind spent $3-$4 for small box of veggie or spent $8 for rice and a choice or two of side.
Dont pass by wit out going inside. Here atleast once a week. They got everything you need from dry fried ribs to fish
I would not recommend coming here!!! I ordered a special order of veggie chow fun noodles and the lady gave me stir fried garlic broccoli. Before the order was finished, I wanted to make sure to double check my order. She proceeded to tell me i ordered garlic broccoli when I had told her multiple times I wanted the noodles.
Where do I start.... I went to lees today for the second time and this time around was tragic! My wife was sick so she wanted me to grab some hot and sour soup to go! Got home and what did I find chillin on the top of the soup like it was Rydin a surfboard? ? A ROACH! !!!! PLEASE LOOK INTO PEST CONTROL AND CLEANLINESS.
