We had our company team Christmas party here. They have a special room at the back that can host a private party, I think up to 100 guests. The divider even closes so it's completely private with it's own exit.

Our menu was catered and created for our team. My filet mignon was delicious as well as my dessert. They have excellent wine collections and huge drink selection. I don't remember the red wine I had, but it was fantastic.

Their staff here was the best. They catered to our team from start to finish. The were all on point and very attentive. Thank you LB Steak for a wonderful time.

      Cheers!

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a mediocre experience. Restaurant was rather empty on a weeknight (good thing we had reservations?)

Hostess was talented and our server Anna was helpful.

Ordered the Prime Ribeye medium rare and it came out medium..bummer. The ribeye was quite marbly and tasty although it lacked seasoning...the sauce did help.

The side of creamed spinach was the highlight of the meal. The mashed potatoes were quite pedestrian...

...with so many tasty restaurants on the Peninsula, would be challenging to come back again...

Came here looking for steak in the Menlo Park area. I like the location in downtown Menlo Park and so naturally, parking is easy to find when dining here at LB Steak. I was immediately greeted by a host at the door while I was still waiting for the rest of my party. They were quick to seat us even during dinner time on a Wednesday night. There were a good amount of other people there but still some open tables.

I ordered an 8 oz filet medium rare with a side of truffle fries. The bread that came out first was pretty good; heavy on the egg which was very noticeable through taste. But I like egg so I really enjoyed it. The steak itself was cooked perfectly and the arugula salad with it was really nice, as well. The truffle fries really hit the spot and I couldn't stop eating them!

Overall, I didn't have problems with service or food like other people did. I give this place 4 stars but I'm giving it 5 so it's average rating comes up because I think it definitely deserves to have a higher average rating than 3.5 stars.

All in all our meal was really tasty! I can't complain. For the pricing though, I was hoping that the steak would be out of this world delicious. Don't get me wrong, it's really really good, but it's not out of this world.

The octopus was ok. Nothing exceptional.

However, the one winner of the evening would be the oysters! They're $3 each and oh so tasty! Without a doubt, these were the biggest hit at our table.

I'd go back but probably would try another entree other than the steak.

The staff was exquisite as we expected. Very attentive and super generous.

      Oysters on the half shell--amazing!

This is going to sound funny but the best part of our steak lunch was the asperagus. Three perfect spears. I think they might poach them in stock and then put them them on the grill. The result is a perfectly cooked spear.
I plan to use this method in the future. Delicious.

This is a lovely restaurant but I'm not sure I'd call it impeccable. We sat at a booth but the table has a huge base so your feet will be banging into something. There was some clunky maneuvering as we were seated. Watch your toes!

The service is excellent. Angela was lovely and very sweet about bringing additional sauces. This lunch menu is a bit limited and somehow the dishes offered are lacking in a bit of finesse. We had skirt steaks that were fine. No wow factor.

The Wedge salad was delicious with additional dressing. The salad presentation was lovely.

I loved the chips and onion dip on the table. I think we should have gone with the salads and wine. Oh, the wine was amazing!! I probably enjoyed it a bit too much...

Cappuccinos and custard for dessert. Lovely but not over the top. I wouldn't call this the most creative menu in the world. Especially the dessert selection.

I had a dinner meeting at LB at Santana Row and remember thinking the same thing. Steaks are good but I never felt the need to return.

Wasn't expecting much from this place since it's a chain steakhouse. Also didn't like the Santana row one much when I had it last. So I was pleasantly surprised when my steak here was cooked and flavored perfectly. The calamari and sides were also on point.

I took a star off cause the service wasn't very good. No one filled our waters and took ages to get our check.

Still a good place to get a nice piece of steak if you're ever in the hood.

My husband and I came here for dinner during the holiday week. We made a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. We asked if it was ok to grab a drink at the bar first as we were not in a hurry. They obliged. They never came to rush us.

The restaurant has a very homey feeling about it. It felt like a great neighborhood restaurant. We got a table by the window and were eager to try the food. We started with the beet salad. It was a great combination of flavors and textures.

For dinner I got the lamb chops and the hubby got a filet. Oh, such great flavors. You could definitely taste the butter in the potatoes. It made it so delicious and since we were just coming off the holiday week, of not eating so well, I was ok with it. Delicious, delicious! My husband enjoyed his steak too.

The wait staff was really friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and the food was delicious. What more do you need?! I'd come back for sure!

      Take out review.

Was in the area and really wanted dessert. Random, I know. Checked out their menu and was hooked on getting the chocolate lava cake.

Didn't take long. I called to order and picked it up within 10 minutes.
The waitress was surprised.... given that no one orders takeout or much less just dessert. It was almost closing as well.

Anyhow, parking wasn't horrible, manage to quickly park in the green and got in and out.

Luckily I checked the bag for a utensil, there weren't any because they ran out. Had a super disappointed look on my face since I wasn't going home anytime soon. She was sweet and helped me find some.

      Thanks!!

Oops! Put this under the wrong place before. It's in the right place now.

Hubby and I had the best afternoon at LB. We started the day off at the street faire in Menlo Park and as we were wandering by LB, I was drawn in by an enormous dog on the front porch. As I was petting this monstrous beauty, the manager came out and started chatting with me. Christopher told me they had Happy Hour all day long with food and drink specials. He said those two little magic words that no one can resist - Happy Hour. Hubby and I went in, found a little table next to the open air windows and spent hours delighting in the wine, homemade Ginger Beer, and a variety of smalls plates that were delicious.

My favorite appie, simply because it was unique, was the truffle popcorn with edamame and parmesan. It was amazing! We also had a cheese plate and popcorn shrimp. Everything was delicious and only $5. The wine list was vast and I tried many new wines.

It was simply a delightful visit that made for a memorable afternoon. We can't wait to go back!!

      Truffle popcorn with edamame!! Heaven!

This place deserves 5 stars. I came here for my friend's birthday dinner for a party of 11. She made reservations for 8:30 pm and this place closes at 9 pm (Thursday night). However, the waiter told us that they were willing to keep this place open just for us. That was very nice of them. I ordered the 8 oz skirt steak with the cognac three peppercorn sauce, and for my side I got the brentwood sweet corn succotash per recommendation of our waiter. Everything was so delicious. The steak was juicy and tender and the sauce was perfect. The corn was soooo good, and you could tell it came straight off the cob. The corn had heirloom cherry tomatoes, onions, peppers, and herb garlic butter. Mmm. Service was excellent, and our waiter didn't mind giving everyone separate bills. They also gave my friend creme bruleei for her birthday. I definitely would come back here.
