I'm going to miss this place when it closes. It's the best for cheap and authentic Korean food.
I've gone here for years, and I also remember the jjajangmyun place that was mentioned in one of the other reviews. It was the best place for jjajangmyun in the whole area, but it closed down.
Snowice was the place that started the shaved snow craze for me and my friends. Also closed now.
I still love BBQ Town's kimchi fried rice, and I come here from time to time for it. It's an awesome price too.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michael W.San Jose, CA977974153Apr 25, 2022Updated review
I am so glad this place has closed because I am fed up with the overpriced korean food that I have to buy here. Based on the bad hype I heard during its hey day in my community college days, I am really betting this place is overrated. Back when I was in community college a lot of people from my old church used eat here and it really pissed me off. Overpriced food that broken college students cannot afford. You are really better off going to Gen instead of this joint because word of mouth and hype from millennials and generation X really devalues this joint. Right now if you go to this area, it's empty, derelict and feels like a ghost town. I have been avoiding this place since my first year of college and did the right thing. It makes me even more mad to know that despite the mental health issues the bad food court has caused me that it will all turn into a high rise apartment joint

We went here on Saturday evening (7/16/2017) for the first time in years. How depressing. Only a few restaurants were open. I'm not referring to the restaurant being open at some time during the day and closing for the evening. I'm referring to only two places looking like they were still in business!
This was so depressing! Too many restaurants to count were closed down: Snowice was closed. Dishes was closed. It was basically a Korean food court ghost town!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Samy C.Mountain View, CA5225569May 6, 2017
Great place to get cheap and relatively good Korean food. Was sad to see so many of the stalls close down. My whole meal was less than $10 and included meat, salad, rice, soup etc (see photo).
Hope this place picks back up soon.

I ordered kimchi fried rice with chicken teriyaki for $9.99 which is a great price and the food tasted amazingly good! It comes with shredded dry seaweed and miso soup on the side. It took about 7-10 mins for them to finally buzz to let me know food was ready for a pick up. The BUSSER should keep the place clean, there were plenty of tables that had dirty plates around us since we arrived there and by the time we left, it was still sitting there. I think the busser was a dishwasher too maybe that's why keeping the tables tidy was hard for him to do? In any case, the eating area when unkept looks like a pig sty. In the plaza, Paris baguette is down the hall and so is a hair cutting place.

I've come here quite a few times during my college years. It's a great place to go if you have a big group of friends who all want Asian food! There are lots of choices and all for a very reasonable price. I've come here with parties ranging from 2 people to over 20 people and there's never any real problem with seating or getting food, as opposed to going to a regular sit down restaurant, waiting to get seated, waiting to have your order taken, and waiting to get your food.
I would definitely recommend this place if you're trying to satisfy your Korean food cravings without waiting long lines at all the other great Korean places!
Parking sucks tho lolHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 17, 2016
A few years ago, this place would be crowded even on a weekday night. Now, even on weekends, I have yet to see half of the tables fill up.
Three of the food court restaurants have closed, and only two non-dessert restaurants remain: Seoul Jung and BBQ Town. BBQ Town is still one of my go-to places for good, cheap Korean food, so I'll come here as long as it remains open. Still, it's sad to see this food court as a shadow of its former self.
With the property owners in talks to sell the place to a developer to turn into more high-rise apartments, and with similar stories going on all over Santa Clara, one must wonder what will happen to our quality of life when many restaurants, shops and entertainment venues are demolished to make way for more population growth.Helpful 28Thanks 0Love this 19Oh no 0 - 216342958Jan 22, 2016
I love coming here for Korean food! They used to have 5 stores, but now there are only 3. So sad... I guess the competition is tough. :(
The service is quick and you have to seat yourself. The restaurant that you ordered from will give you a buzzer to pick up your food. After you are done, you leave your dishes at the table and a janitor will come by later to clean up after you. The only downside is that there are no side dishes (banchan) with your food since this is a food court.
If you want cheaper Korean food without the fuss of a restaurant with about the same quality, then I recommend coming to this food court.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 90211561Mar 22, 2016
Only 2 of 5 businesses open. What gives? We had dinner from BBQ Town, and it was great as always - delicious, hot, fresh, fast and reasonably priced.
