My husband and I purchased a home recently and Attorney Mahlowitz made this process a breeze! Being new to MA, we were used to the escrow process so the lawyer piece was very foreign to us. Dave made the process so simple and explained everything so well, that we only had a question here and there within the 6 weeks of the home buying process. Every time I would check in, he says everything is handled and we are good to go! Additionally, he has a great attitude and a pleasure to work with. He even was able to negotiate a seller credit on our behalf, last minute! We will definitely hire this law office again and I highly recommend Dave to anyone looking to have a smooth home buying process.

David did a great job helping me purchase my first home. He responded quickly to phone/email questions, which was a great help in quieting down the nerves. We selected David as our real estate lawyer to purchase our first home.
He was very responsive from the first phone call (responding within minutes) and replied to texts and questions very quickly. He was always on-top of everything and was especially helpful in working with a mortgage lender (big bank) that was often delayed in obtaining documents. David helped us stay on track despite the mortgage delays, negotiating to extend contingencies and close the purchase on time.

He was very upfront with fees and available protections, and was overall a great person to work with on this important financial transaction. At the closing, he brought a good sense of humor. Overall, I highly recommend David to represent you (and your bank) for your next real estate purchase.

David is excellent and well organized. He kept things simple and easy. While email was the primary communication medium, he was readily available by phone. The only time I needed to meet in person was to sign closing documents. He does a great job of communicating on my behalf for any information needed and keeps me regularly updated. Does an upstanding job and I would recommend him for anyone going through the home buying process.

Another thing he did was to make sure we had a written declaration for Homestead (in MA), which is is important because it can help protect the homeowner in certain legal situations. Some other attorneys out there can forget to do this sometimes (based on conversations with other coworkers and their home buying experience); but not David, he had my back!

My partner and I found David on yelp while looking for a real estate lawyer. As first time homebuyers we knew very little about the ins and outs of home buying and were looking for someone that would be able to handle just about everything for us. David was communicative and always available, and handled just about everything with our final lender, and everything between the sellers and sellers' attorney.

We also had an issue with our original lender, Navy Federal, and David was able to find us another lender that was able to give us an even better rate. We would definitely work with him again if we purchase another place.

Had a great experience with David. I initially chose to contact him based on his existing yelp reviews. He was there to meet my mother and I the same day we inquired about his services. He answered our very simple and complex questions and helped put us at ease.

He stayed in contact and was sure to alert us of deadlines we needed to meet. He was also very patient. He did a lot of stuff and coordinating in the background that were crucial to the closing being completed. He was also understanding with us as we caused an issue that delayed closing by one day.

I would give David 10 stars and 2 thumbs up (if I could). He got me out of a bad deal last year and helped buy my first house this year. He was incredibly diligent when preparing my P&S and got the seller to agree with all of our terms. He was always available and responded immediately even after hours, on weekend and when he was on vacation in Europe. He also is very organized and knowledgeable which saves a lot of time and hassle. Great experience overall!
