Wow, what a fantastic, off-the-beaten-path little winery we discovered this weekend during Woodinville's St. Pat's Wine Walk! I didn't even know this place existed, tucked in to a basement spot among several other wineries. But so glad we found it!

We first stopped in for our complimentary wine walk tasting, my date and I each drying their fabulous Syrah. The staff was SO incredibly friendly, and even offered us a taste of their Cab to try too. When they mentioned there would be live music starting later in the day, we knew right then where we'd be ending our Saturday. After touring a few other tasting rooms during the event, we headed back to Lauren Ashton just in time to see performer Larry Murante belting out the tunes.

On our return visit, weeach enjoyed a full pour of that delicious Syrah and a ginormous charcuterie plate. I mean, this thing was a meal in itself! We had planned to find dinner afterward, but there was no way we could eat anymore - it was SO good and the perfect topper to a day of sipping vino around Woodinville. Thanks, Lauren Ashton team, for making a great day so fabulous!

We have been members of Lauren Ashton Cellars for several years and we were really sad to see their post in May 2024 that they were closing their wine tasting shop. The notification was not sent to members. We had to find out by seeing a post on our Facebook feed. We found that to be unprofessional as members should have received a courtesy announcement and an opportunity to stock up on wine ahead of their closure.

Nonetheless, I was very excited when I saw a new Facebook post that they were offering a case of Chenin Blanc for 65% off. This was advertised three times as shipping only. Shipping only in all caps. I purchased and paid for the case of wine on 8/30/24. I never received confirmation of the order and never received shipping information.

On Sept. 6th, I sent an email to Kimberly Ellertson, Director of Business Development at Lauren Ashton asking for an order confirmation and shipping confirmation. I did not receive a response. I sent a follow-up email to Kimberly on Sept. 11th and once again received no response. I then checked my bank account and found that on Sept. 7th, they charged my card. Still no order confirmation or shipping information. On Sept. 13th I sent another email, this one to their general email account of info@laurenashtoncellars.com and I sent a DM via Facebook. No response. On Sept. 16th I posted on the Facebook sale posting requesting an update and received no response. On Sept. 17th, Kit Singh, the owner, sent an email stating he has not shipped the wine because he "...was hoping to wait a bit longer to allow other orders to come in so that I can ship them all in one go. Is it ok if I wait a little longer to ship?" I responded back via email and advised "No. That was not stipulated or in anyway tied to the order and the difficulty I have had reaching someone makes this request even more unprofessional. If that was your hope, you should post that on the sale announcement. You have charged my card. Ship the wine." I received no response.

On September 23rd, I sent Kit a text advising I still hadn't received the wine despite being billed for it. Kit responded "I will have the wine brought down to Woodinville this week. If you need it by the weekend, can I set up a time for you to pick it up from me on Friday." The sale was literally posted as SHIPPING ONLY in all caps. I live an hour away (one way) from Woodinville and expect company on Friday. Hence why I ordered the wine nearly a month ago. I responded with "Kit, your posting specifically states SHIPPING ONLY. " I reminded him that he has already taken the money and he needs to honor that this was a shipping only sale. Kit called me and explained the wine was in Kennewick so he couldn't ship it until Friday September 27th. Expecting customers to wait because he is too lazy to do what he committed to doing is really unprofessional and taking the money without providing what was paid for is super shady and terrible customer service. The entire ordeal thing felt like nothing more than a money grab. I asked for an immediate refund and he said "I don't know how to do that." I suggested he have an employee issue the refund and he said he would have to have his wife do it when he gets home. We are members at other wineries and have never had such a poor experience. Kit and his company have really poor business practices. I guess that is why they closed up shop. I am now contesting the charge through my bank. Good riddance Lauren Ashton and Kit.

A group of us came here for a wine tasting session and a small get-together to celebrate a friend's milestone birthday. The wines, on the wine-tasting menu in particular the reds, were quite pleasant. The accompanying food (just casual bites, cheeses, fruits and other usual suspects on the charcuterie board) did not disappoint either. The service was most friendly and there when you needed them. All in all, a lovely afternoon. I would definitely come back again, hopefully during a warmer time of year when it's beautiful outside.

I thought I was gonna love the wines from Lauren Ashton Cellars, but nothing had me wanting more. Located in the Apple Village area of the Hollywood District, it's easy to find and has its own parking lot, which is nice. We made a reservation for Lauren Ashton on a Sunday afternoon where we sat outside, which was nice. There, dogs are allowed and the employee even offered to bring out a water bowl for the dogs. Great start!

We tried five different wines: one white, one rose and three reds. The wines were A-OK. The reds weren't as savory as I prefer my reds, so it wasn't for me. But I can see why someone else may like the wines here.

My biggest complaint is that when we were checking out, we told the employee that we were on the passport, which is when she told us that we needed to tell wineries upfront if we're passport holders next time because otherwise, we wouldn't have been offered a full tasting. I don't understand why wineries treat passport holders differently, so why even be on the passport? Not the most welcoming.

We were in the area to do a tasting at 425 cellars and the surrounding wineries. We sat down at one of the outdoor tables for just a min while we waited for them all to open. We were immediately accosted by the woman working the opening shift at Lauren Ashton despite not being busy or having any customers yet. My mother in law has diabetes and needed to sit down for a minute and we would have done a tasting there after 425 had this not happened. I live in the area and would have come back with all my friends as well had she been nice. So unfortunate. Rating 1* for poor customer service, compassionless and nasty opening staff.

      The building - so pretty.

The wine is just ok, not worth the $25 tasting fee. The tasting room is pretty but they don't have AC so it was hot and sweaty. But the big time off was the service. They had one person working in a summer Sunday, she had no sense of urgency and continued to help other customers even after we'd been wasting for 45 min. We finally busted ordered a glass and told her we didn't have time to do the tasting and her rely was "good idea, it's going to be a while". Not friendly or apologetic for the slow & poor service. But also shame on the owner for only having one person work on busy weekend, very disappointing.

A hidden gem in the heart of the Hollywood District. Old world inspired wines made with consideration and intention. A wide variety of styles (Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone, etc.) yet dry and approachable. Whites, reds, and rose.

Tasting Studio: Indoor & outdoor seating. Warm interior with highboy tables, bar seating, and large table for reservations/groups. Incredibly comfortable bar stools! Three outdoor tables with umbrellas which are first-come first-serve. They have water dishes for doggos!

Staff: Friendly folks, mostly knowledgeable about Washington wines, AVAs, etc.

Wines: Lighter & drier than what you'd expect for Washington State wines. Very elegant & tasty. Plenty of whites as well as reds.

Food/Other Drinks: Small cheese plate ($10) and larger combination plate ($25). Non-alcoholics ($3) and free tap water.

Music: Saturday nights 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Rotating artists. Bottle & select glass pours only NO tasting flights.

Minus one star for occasionally being understaffed and not receiving the best service and for being on the pricier side...

We really enjoyed visiting this tasting room! The woman pouring the wine was very kind and informative. She told us about the history of the winery and the winemaker, which was great. I definitely recommend this place. Pretty unique and interesting background.

Lauren Ashton Cellars - live music until 7pm! The 2017 Cab was my favorite, by far. Centrally located, a must stop in Woodinville!

They are dog friendly, which is nice. The ladies running the tasting room were extremely friendly and they brought out some water for our pups.

The outdoor setting is nice, with a privacy fence and a garden area.

The service was impeccable. They honored the Wine Pass without any hesitation.

Even though we didn't buy any of the wines we would consider coming back. None of the wines especially clicked with us and we felt the price point was a little high. But to each their own.
