I have a lot of clothes that cannot go in the dryer and of course some that can. Does Laundry Mom accept articles of clothing that should skip the dryer?

I wanted to ORDER some laundry help for daughter-in-law in Hyattsville. You pick up and deliver? How should she have it prepared for you? In bags? I have to ask permission first making ahead of order.

      A:

I used my own laundry bag for the initial pickup and they provided their bag upon return.

Very convenient and capable. Just leave a bagful on my stoop, and, within a day, comes back beautifully washed and folded. First used the service due to problems with home washer, but now I'll probably never do my own laundry again.

Great service! Highly recommend if you are in need of pickup/drop off laundry service. Used while I was waiting for my new washer to be delivered.

Ok so I convinced myself to "pay for peace" and tried a laundry service. Yes, I have a washer and dryer in my apartment. Yes, there's even a laundry room in my building. But when life get's busy and I get lazy, it's time to outsource. Laundry mom was GREAT. They picked up my laundry before 7am on a Weds and dropped it off clean and folded at 7am the next morning. They were even accommodating to my request about types of detergent used. 100% worth it.

Our washer broke and it's been a journey to replace it. We've used Laundry Mom's services 3 times now and couldn't be happier. They pick up in the morning on your porch, send you an invoice via email and text to let you know when it's been sent, you pay, and they drop off the next day everything folded and smelling lovely. I coordinate everything via text. They will ask you to put the laundry unsorted in garbage bag for the first pickup then They provide a large blue bag after your first pickup and Inside the clothes are in bags, nicely folded and sealed from the elements.

Note they don't operate on weekends.

It's been such a life saver (possibly literally) during a pandemic not to have to go to the laundromat.

The first time they tell you to put the dirty laundry in garbage bags, then send it home in a large blue bag with the pink tag
Clean folded laundry. If you have more laundry than can fit in your blue bag they provide, this is what they put the clothes in.

I first started using this laundry service in October 2020 and it started out really great, which is why I've been continuing to use their services since. I would've rated them 5/5.

I'm not sure what happened, but the last few times that I've use this service, it hasn't been a good experience. They broke both of my heavy duty laundry bags on two different occasions, were unapologetic, blamed me despite not providing me with their laundry bags, and then charged me to buy their laundry bags which aren't durable. They've been inflexible about breaking my belongings (now unusable) and unapologetic. Also in my last delivery was an object that didn't belong to me (a very random wooden hand). I no longer recommend this service.

We just moved into a new place without a W/D and are trying to get laundry squared away. Used laundry mom once so far. Even though the price per pound is higher than some other places, the fact that pick up and delivery is included still makes it a pretty good value.

Pick up was a little later than they said, but turn around time is FAST and everything was wrapped up in perfect little bundles. Plus my shirt smelled so so clean even after a full day of walking around in the sun. Thanks Laundry Mom!

      Let's talk about it.

I have a preemie who was born 6 weeks early and I had just moved a week and a half before he was born. Some of my clothes were a bit stale after having been in storage and I wasn't trying to wash 50lbs (my estimate) of clothes.

I had the site pulled up to send a message, but decided to call.
I called at 11:49am on Thursday, no answer.
      I sent the message.
Ruby actually called me back at 11:52am. It took 3 minutes to set up a pick up (Thursday morning).
Ruby also responded to my email at 1:45pm.

Oh, look, a business in the DC area that actually wants to do business.

I bagged, in trash bags, and labeled my 51lbs (per the invoice, damn I'm good!) of laundry and two comforters. Hauled it outside to my porch Wednesday night and it was gone by the time I opened my door Thursday morning at 8:30am.

Ruby sent a text at 11:37am Thursday asking how I'd like to pay-paypal or credit card. I chose credit card and she sent me an invoice immediately. My clothes were back on my porch (wrapped and in an actual bag from them) Thursday night.

My sanity is worth $96.69 ($1.39/lb for the wash and fold, $19.99 each for the comforters with 20% off for new customers).

I was looking for a solid laundry service to make my life easier and I found just that with Laundry mom. My key take aways:

-They pick-up and deliver (super fast and flexible schedule) and also provide you with a durable blue bag.
-I appreciated the good customer service. It was easy to set up the laundry service and all my questions were answered.
-When they return your clothing too you they separate the items out in your blue bag to make it easier for you to sort it when it's delivered back to you.

So glad I found this place. Honestly it's like having magic fairies.

I recently reached out to Laundry Mom for help cleaning 3 queen sized comforters that were exceptionally soiled, one as a result of another laundromat bagging it while wet. Ruby was responsive, direct and professional. She would not promise beyond her ability however she exceeded our expectations! An excellent door to door service experience. We tipped modestly before seeing the results; will have to double it next time. We will have them do all our larger laundry in the future. Great Job!!! 5 five star experience!
