I wanted the menudo and i ask if i could get tested bread instead of tortillas so the cashier ask the cook and he said no! And i was like why not and she said "we don't have bread like that" and im like don't sell tortas? She said "yes"
I will buy it if you don't wanna give it to me! I said, and they still refused,
And just like that they lose a customer

This is my favorite Mexican food in Fallbrook so far.

The flavors and textures are fresh, flavorful, and feel so good; not overly salty like some other places. I ordered the combination plate #15 with green cheese enchilada, chile relleno, rice and beans. The chile relleno was almost as good as my suegra's who is from a little village in Mexico. I am usually disappointed when I order chile rellenos at other places because the egg is too fluffy, dense, dry or something is off. Not here, this was so delicious and authentic. Perfect! I also love the salad garnish to color the plate and add some good nutrients to the meal.

The service is welcoming and quick. They give you chips and salsa to eat while you wait. The place is very clean, tidy, comfortable, colorful, and they play nice music at the perfect volume. And it's not the radio or TV with commercials like other places.

I had a wonderful experience and I recommend you come try it for yourself.

Impulse stop leaving an event in Fallbrook. Polite service, big menu, quaint location. Food has promise. We were there late on a Sunday and it seemed like things were winding down. My burrito was tasty, abundant, could have been warmer, cheese didn't fully melt. Nachos, same thing, cheese was cold and just sitting there. Meats were good flavor. Will try again.

Super yummy! Staff is friendly and on top of service. Came multiple times to our table to make sure we had everything we needed! Menudo came with condiments and tortillas! Good music and a great time with my family!

Terrible service.

While waiting patiently for my order (three separate items) I attempted to get some salsa from their self-serve salsa area. Two of the salsas were completely empty.

I watched the cook prepare my order. She seemed confused. When she handed me my order, I asked if everything was there, reminding her what my items were. She nodded. But just as I was about to leave, she stops me, looks in my bag and the items, says something in Spanish and then proceeds to take out two items then replaces them with two other items. I understood it as her correcting a mistake. Again I asked if everything was okay. She said "si"

When I got home, I discovered she'd given me a wrong item. After calling the restaurant and speaking to their cashier (who fortunately spoke fluent English), I was told to return to the restaurant. She said the cook would have my correct item ready when got there.

The drive to and from the restaurant is about 20min each way. When I get to restaurant, she hadn't even started on my order item. I had to wait another 15min for the cook to complete the order. Only the cashier apologized.

Never again...

When I write a review for a business, I'm very honest about the food, the service, and of course the ambience.
This restaurant was recommended by a customer my brother-in-law drove for here in Fallbrook.
So, this evening, my family and I decided to go ahead and try the food from this restaurant. My brother-in-law called in the order, and when we got back home with the food, the order was wrong so, he called the restaurant and told them that they gave the wrong food on one of the plates. They told my brother in law to come back to the restaurant and pick up the correct plate, which was a fajita plate with chicken and beef. The food was awful, number two the presentation was awful number three this was not a fajita plate and it did not have any chicken as requested. It was carne asada meat mixed with bell peppers in the middle. They put lettuce with raw onions on the left side of the meat and they put fries on the right side of the meat. The two compartments on the top they put a small spoon of rice and a small spoon of refried beans. One of the requests is that the tortillas to be flour but instead it was corn. When my brother-in-law arrived at the restaurant, he said the reason the first order was wrong is because it was a new person handling it. So if this was a second mistake in the same evening, same customer who are they gonna blame now. As far as the service awful service according to my brother-in-law, the ambience was not all that. The floors were dirty and presentation was not that well.
So here's the worst part, I started eating my food, and as I dug into the refried beans a bit down and there was a sharp object of some sort that poked my tongue and poked/cut the inside of my mouth. I immediately grabbed a napkin and pulled the object out. I have attached a picture and it is basically a thorn of some sort with many sharp thorns around it. I'm not very happy with this restaurant or their service. It was nothing authentic about it. It was awful.

The food would be great except the excessive salt.
Overwhelming. Some body needs to tell cook that salt is not the same as flavor.

Great service by the young girl who attended me.
Kept smiling at all times.
I should add I asked by the red chunked salsa with the Pico de Gallo.
I'll say what I paid was worth it.
Hope the new owners keep the young girl.

It's not fancy, but the food tastes very authentic. Very traditional decor and good service. The green enchilada was better than the red, but both were tasty

Solía visitar este lugar con mucha frecuencia antes de mudarme del área, ahora regresé al área y rápido volví a visitar este restaurante ya que me encantaba buscando el sabor auténtico y delicioso que tenían sus platos, pero para mi sorpresa la comida no se asemeja a lo que en su momento fue. La comida está ok, el staff da un buen servicio, el ambiente casual.
