Lake Alfred Diner

Wonderful small-town feel. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was top notch. The diner has the friendly atmosphere that's disappearing in America nowadays.

What a nice meal! The diner is very cute with indoor/outdoor seating. We sat outside, not too hot this time of year.

I had the turkey club with sweet potato fries. Yummy and nicely presented!

Tina recommended the cinnamon butter to dip my fries in. Good call! Excellent service!

My friend had an omelet with hash. Lots of food and a clean plate in the end.

A hidden gem. breakfast was fantastic, so was the coffee and waitresses. Portions were a nice size and corned beef hash was cooked perfect. so were the home fries. It is not a tourist trap either. Love this place.

Decent diner catering towards an older, local clientele. The location is an old Hardee's restaurant that still looks like a Hardee's but they fit in a lot of seating and have an outdoor patio. Funny old metal signs dot the walls. Service was mostly attentive and the dining room was clean if dated. Food was good not great but good enough to go back. I had fried catfish that was pretty tasty in a nice batter. Others enjoyed breakfast choices like omelets and pancakes.

The waitresses were fast & friendly, and we sat down quickly. Definitely a local spot in Lake Alfred. We have eaten here before and food was ok, but this time not as good. I had the grilled chicken salad, and my wife had the Cuban sandwich. The chicken in my salad was not very good and not good pieces. My wife said that the Cuban sandwich was not very good also. We both cam home very bloated and my stomach was bloated, nauseous and upset the rest of the day. The coleslaw seemed to be the best part of the meal but wouldn't go back again.

This was our lunch stop as we headed to Savannah. I was looking for a casual, local vibe and this restaurant was it.

They had a lovely outdoor patio. The weather was cool but sun was warm so it was a great spot.

I decided to keep it light and chose the Greek salad with dressing on the side. The salad was good. Lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, and kalamata olives. It also came with a side of pita bread which was served warm. Very good.

Husband had the same but with grilled chicken. We both liked the salads very much.

Service was great. Parking was easy. Good stop.

Old fashioned atmosphere with good old country food. Fast service, above average food, especially biscuits and gravy with fried chicken tender on top. Very tasty and consistent. Big chains should take a page out of their book. Family owned diners in Polk County have better quality, taste and presentation than most!

The fried chicken was very good & the french silk pie was perfect....it took me back to my childhood. Lake Alfred Diner is a classic Diner, I want to return.

Excellent food highly recommend the fried chicken livers. Everyone in our group of 5 was very satisfied.

i stopped at lake Alford dinner for breakfast, when I got my receipt the price was higher then the menu price,so i asked why? they said we charge for the credit card, but i payed debit, so that changed the amount of tax i had to pay was more, and debit is the same as cash, i will be reporting them for the tax and over charging. SO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT

A great place. I go nearly every Saturday for breakfast. The staff is friendly, the food is good, nice sized portions and not too expensive. A nice hometown diner.
