Do not go here! The older women with blond hair does not know how to cut hair. I paid for a 40$ hair cut. I had 22inches of hair and came out of that salon with 8. I told her I wanted layers and 3.5inches off. I showed this women three pictures. I don't remember her name but she was blind and blue eyed. I'm very disappointed. I do not recommend going here for a haircut.

I went in as a walk in customer and had no problem getting my hair cut by Michelle. I love the cut it was exactly how I wanted it. Modern, trendy bi literal cut that not many stylist would get right. Michelle nailed 2 thumbs up. I guess the other haters on this review went in on an especially busy day.

This is a mixed review which causes the lower rating. My grandmother, God bless her, goes into this salon for her hair treatment. Fortunately, she doesn't wish to come out 'glow in the dark' pink....she is an unnatural blonde. Anyway, Sandy does a fabulous job restoring the locks and tresses, but here is the rub. One of the employees takes her cigarette after cigarette break right at the front door entrance. My grandmother's lung capacity has declined over the years, and she has difficulty holding her breath through the gauntlet of cancer smoke. Is that the only place your employees can take their break? Let's use a bit of common sense. Move away from the door and exhale your smoke into a more open area. It should not be used as a greeting to your customers. Now if you do that.....I think I can bring you up to 5 stars where you belong.

Donna at La Mirage is the BEST colorist in town!! (She got her expertise by fixing other colorists mistakes.) I've spent lots of money at snooty trendy salons and got half the results Donna acheives at a resonable price. And she's a sweetie! I love her down to earth no-nonsense sense of humor. She's always on time, and greets me with a smile. People are shocked to hear I get highlights because Donna makes them look SO natural. She gives a great cut, too. I get so many complimets on my hair! I wouldn't trust anyone else.

If you need great highlights and a great hair stylist go see Michelle Shelton at La Mirage! I have been going to her for years, shes excellent with low lights and high lights and can pretty much do anything to your hair that you can dream up!

I have been going to Michelle for almost 20 years. There is no one else I would trust with cutting and coloring my hair. A natural dirty blonde, I wanted a change years ago and gave Michelle free reign with my color. Now, 15 years later I still get almost daily compliments on the beautiful red color of my hair, and shock at the fact that it is not natural. I have recommended many friends to Michelle, and everyone has been very pleased with her work.

I hardly even want to give one star. Should have read the tip from Holly H before trying to walk in to this salon. Saturday, 2:15pm...walk-ins are NOT welcome. A larger woman, assuming she might be a manager because she surely didn't offer to cut my hair, instead she rudely asked "what do you want?" and before I could answer she told me she couldn't help me and that all the stylists were "busy and going home." As she said this, the two stylists in the salon quickly nodded their heads to her and shook them at me. The service at this salon sucks and it's pretty clear that this is a normal occurrence. Be advised, don't go here if you value respect.

There are several people that work here, but this review is specifically for Michelle. I have been going to her for years now and still love the work she does. I know that the bulk of her clients are color and...whatever else women do to their hair these days, but I'm just a guy that needs a pretty standard haircut. I always leave very happy with my hair, and am always glad that I had a chance to catch up with Michelle. Great person to be around, good cuts, good prices. With all of that, I don't really have a reason to think about looking elsewhere...
