La Fiesta is an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant. One of the best real mexican food places around the area, a must try! Everything is homemade and fresh. It's a family owned and run business with friendly service and an authentic mexican ambiance. The enchiladas are my favorite with the grandmas special and mole enchiladas in particular being some of the best meals I've had. Can't go wrong with anything here though, I would highly recommend La Fiesta for some classic dishes that really go a step beyond your typical Mexican food. Stop in whenever you're in the area and you won't be disappointed!

La fiesta is my go-to restaurant for authentic, flavorful, cheesy chicken tortilla soup. The soup has a massive portion size and is served in a glass bowl, almost like a glass mixing bowl! 10/10 recommend this soup

The servers are friendly and worked quickly to bring out our food. The restaurant is decorated very authentically and has great art/ambiance. When the weather is nice there are options to sit outside, however the tables are in the parking lot next to cars so its not the best view.

The restaurant is definitely a hidden gem and I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great Mexican food in the Mountain View area!!

La Fiesta is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area! Great food with amazing vibes. All the staff are kind and attentive.
I'm pescatarian and La Fiesta has a great seafood selection, whatever you get it's going to have lots of flavor.
      Highly recommend 10/10

This is a great authentic restaurant off the beaten path of Castro Street in downtown Mountain View. They have all the traditional dishes you'd expect at a Mexican restaurant.
The drinks are yummy too! I'd highly recommend the Sangria!

We were so busy eating that I forgot to take pictures. Here are a few of the inside and outside seating areas.

They have an okay seating area in the parking lot, but the inside is magical with artwork and unique lighting.

Came by on a Saturday night to a packed restaurant. It seemed understaffed as our waiter was running around quite a bit and was only able to get to us occasionally. They have a full margarita menu, and the one I tried was excellent. The food was solid and had considerable portion sizes.

To begin with, you MUST GET their flan and the signature grandma sauce! MUST!

We came in for early dinner on a saturday and the place was decently packed even at 6pm. The service is great, everything was quick including service and bill payment. We got some enchiladas in both mole and their grandmas special sauce and it was so yum. While the chicken ones were full of meat and stuffed, I did have complaints on the vegetarian enchilada. I mentioned I wanted no cheese and more veggies inside and they only gave me onions and tomatoes in the stuffing which is very underwhelming. I would have liked to see some spinach or corn maybe? The sauce and the accompanying Beans and Spanish rice saved my dish!

The flan was to die for though and my review is very biased all due to the dessert. Well played La fiesta!

This is a staple of Mountain View. Family run, high-quality authentic food (get the Gramma's special), friendly environment, excellent servers, I always feel well taken care of and always leave full. Drinks are on point as well, can't go wrong at La Fiesta.

Finally got the chance to experience this restaurant and I have to say, it was unsatisfactory. Food was decent but the service was rude.

We were greeted kindly by the host and seated right away. Then our waiter came by to take our drink orders. I took about 10 seconds to try to decide what I wanted and as I was about the answer, the waiter rushes off in an irritated manner and says something along the lines of "I'll come back so you can decide." Maybe something needed immediate attention at the time, idk...but he did not even ask about the other person at our table what they wanted to drink.

The waiter comes back and this time I knew exactly what I wanted. The person sitting next to me, asked the waiter about a drink they saw online. The waiter again sounded irritated and said the drink they asked about was "not good" in a sassy tone. I thought he was being fun at first but it really sounded like he was actually irritated as their conversation went on. It was a short exchange of what do you think about this drink and what do you recommend.

After ordering drinks, he started taking our food orders. I told the waiter, I wanted a Combination #10 which is rice and beans with two enchiladas, but I wanted one enchilada as a Grandma's Especial and the other one as Mole. As soon as I say that, he snatches the menu from me and says "That's NOT the combination #10, the combination #10 is a red sauce" and shows me the specialty enchilada menu. Again he uses that irritated tone....

This was my first time at this restaurant... a little more patience would be appreciated....

When it came to the person next to me's turn, they said the wanted the same thing as me EXCEPT with different meats. The waiter immediately says "THAT'S NOT THE SAME THING," in that irritated tone he's been using with us this whole time...Guess he does not understand the word "except," but I don't understand what we did to him to get him this triggered...

The food start arriving and our server comes with a dish that looks like my order and he says the order out loud. I think I hear him say "chicken and beef" but he said it so fast it was not clear. The person next to me tries to clarify and and asks him "chicken and pork?" The server says "yes, chicken and pork" and sets it down for them. So I got the wrong order...

The food was decent. The meat was dry and not broken down. The beef and pork lacked flavor and freshness. Luckily I got the Grandma's sauce and Mole to mask up the dryness. I did enjoy the Grandma's sauce but like the other reviews say, it does remind me of Butter Chicken at Indian restaurants. The Mole was too sweet for me and lacked depth. The Grandma's Sauce and the Mole basically carried this whole meal.

The same sassy waiter came to check up on us one time but he was extremely dismissive. He still looked so mad when he came to check up on us. I felt like our whole table was walking around eggshells when he came by. One of friends asked for a refill and that never came. Our friend arrived later than us and he did not receive a complimentary soup.

We finished eating and as they were collecting our dishes, they asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu and if we needed a box. We said yes to both and got nothing. Then he came back to ask again and we only got a box. No one even brought us our check and there was no one we could flag down. I noticed servers and waiters were constantly checking up on the other guest around us AND SMILING AT THEM but no one made their way to us or even smiled at us....

I did notice that all the other guest that were getting more attention than us looked different from us and I really do not appreciate this differential treatment...

We went up to the front to pay only to be treated with disgust and it was not even our sassy waiter that gave us the check. It was the guy that greeted us kindly when we walked in...He couldn't find the card in the bill holder and gave us a look of disgust even when we tried being friendly and showing him where it was.

I have never felt so unwelcomed at a restaurant before and I will never put myself through this again knowingly.

They also did not have horchata here so I should have known this place is one big red flag from the beginning.

I'm only leaving three stars because I have been coming to La Fiesta for 40 years and until this visit it's been great. We started by ordering an Arturito margarita, which we've had more times than we can count and I don't even know what this drink was. It arrived with no ice, not frozen, not on the rocks, not even a full glass. I've been a bartender for over thirty years and I wouldn't dream of letting a drink like that leave my bar. What happened? The margaritas at La Fiesta used to be amazing. For $13 I want a drinkable drink. We each ordered Grandma's enchiladas, which has been a favorite for as long as we can remember, but tonight the sauce was very salty and it didn't taste fresh. The refried beans were quite salty, as well. I'm not sure if the restaurant is under new ownership or if nobody cares anymore. We celebrated our 21st birthdays many years ago at La Fiesta, we always came here when we had something to celebrate. This place meant something to our family. I'm so disappointed and sad that it's just not the same anymore. The whole experience is different. No soup, there was only thin red sauce to dip our tortilla chips in; no green sauce, no more pico de gallo. We were so sad we just wanted to pay our bill, forget tonight and take our old memories of La Fiesta with us. I don't know if we'll be back. We loved this place so much but can't handle another experience like this.
The Arturito margarita pictured is exactly as it was when it was served to us.

This is how our drink was served

People always rave about the grandma sauce here, so I always wanted to try it with the enchiladas as I love getting those at sit down Mexican restaurants.

For vegetarians they have both a vegetarian enchiladas and cheese enchiladas. I always go with the cheese because having cheese is better than only vegetables. The grandma sauce was very creamy, but had that sour cream and chilli test to it. My friend said it tasted like butter chicken LOL so I see why a lot of people like it. The tomatillo salsa was tangy and tasted great too. The plate looks messy with the beans and rice but they were both solid too, with the rice being a tad firm. I didn't appreciate that getting two salsas costed $2 extra instead of a single salsa though.

I definitely enjoyed the meal and it was tasty. I would definitely come here for this grandma sauce, but definitely don't think I can eat a whole plate of it.
