Took a chance on something a bit different. Grilled chicken marinated in chimichurri, topped with avocado pico de gallo. Waitress offered a hot sauce wich even kicked it up a notch. Fantastic. Might need to learn how to make this at home.
The plate did not need the rice and beans.
Wish the wait staff was a bit more attentive.
Ultimately, #spicemeister approved.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 14, 2023
Really disappointed in my order today. We ordered online for pick up and half the order was incorrect and under seasoned... and for the price ... I would not recommend this restaurant.
Most upset because the "shrimp cocktail" from the online order site made me believe I was getting a fried shrimp dish with a dipping sauce, but I received a cold wet tomato juice "shrimp cocktail soup".
Wouldn't have even been that mad if the flavors were there but it was more watery sweet ketchup flavor than savory cocktail sauce.
They also forgot my flour tortillas with my carne asada order, so I had no tortillas at all to eat with my dinner.
I also never got the queso on the side for my husbands burrito.
Long story short,
If you order from here DO NOT use the online portal, it's confusing and doesn't match their online website. And check everything in your bag before you leave...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Yvonne J.Eden, WI172149Nov 4, 2023
Well as a Hispanic family we always hesitate trying someplace new for Mexican tonight was no different. Our server (Ignacio )was the first red flag to leave but we stuck it out. Despite telling him multiple times my kids don't speak Spanish he kept speaking to them in Spanish when my husband and I would remind him he would shush us and rudely direct our children. This photo was the Gordita my husband ordered. Thankfully he ordered another meal but come on. My taco tortilla tasted raw and by the time we finally got our salsa all our food was cold. Listen it doesn't take much to keep customers in a Mexican restaurant. We will eat on the floor with no decor and pay good for great authentic food and even mediocre service. We will drive any lengths to get there also. When we saw the multitudes of television and no Mexican customers I wanted to leave but my husband didn't want to be rude. The televisions everywhere even in the dining area was distracting and if I wanted that would go to Buffalo Wild Wings. The hostesses were nice. The decor beautiful but the attempt to be a sports bar and low quality food assured me we will never go back. Very disappointed and unfortunately will never be back. Don't forget where you come from. The right people will come and the money will flow. Don't cater to the wrong crowd. For the price and quality I wish we chose Qdoba, TacoBell or Chipotle and that's sad for me to say. My Chile Rellano was very good I have to admit. I've been in the restaurant industry my whole life. I recommend checking out the competition and making some changes.

I was looking for a Mexican restaurant that had a full bar as well as seafood and I came across this place not to far from my hotel. The food was a pretty big portion filled in a large margarita glass. They also were not stingy with their Shrimp. The price was descent $12.99 not over priced. I also ordered a old fashioned was was yummy and at 7.99 not bad. Definitely will be coming back again

There is no place to leave a review about LaCabanas associated Grocery store and this is about that. Deli department a complete disaster. Empty meat displays. Tamales only thing ready to go along with tortilla soup. Obviously not the owners wife making the tamales anymore. Everywhere. Every shelf messed up if there was product, and there wasn't much Boxes in every isle. AND finally after driving back home, 17 mile one way, we found out LACABANA, ripped us off for a Deli charge of $4.50 for something we didn't even buy and overs charged us for 3 extra tamales (charged for 27, but on bought 24 @ $1.69 ea.)
We have supported LaCabana before covid, during covid. Written in their defense of other poor reviews, but ripping off the elderly on fixed income. Pretty sure there a special place in Hades for people like this. Done with LaCabana and Matteo's. Oh elcheapo. Your lousy looking wall stickers are falling off and further cheapen your over prices menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 1, 2022Previous reviewSalute to everyone, especially "NACHO" @ LC west bend. Our small family, was greeted, seated and treated as though VIPs. Nacho and the wonderful woman working with, balanced conversation, serving our meals, refilling drinks as needed, gave a wonderful birthday song to myself topping off with fried ice cream. There can be no mistake of hiring these fantastic people. Everyone in our group was extremely happy with selection and flavor served today. They really work on a atmosphere of the quintessential cantina. P.S. they also have a great deli style/grocery store, that has everything to go for diy or prepped meals. The Chicken Empanadas bring on weak knees, their' re so good.

The La Cabana salad is the least salady salad I've ever had. And the margaritas are great!!

Just moved to West Bend and trying to find a new Mexican spot but this is not it. The service is very slow and you have to ask for pieces of your order several times before getting them. Food is okay at best.

Came here to celebrate a birthday at 8:30. The ladies in front told us they close at 9 and they could only do takeout. They could have served us as there kitchen should have been open for another 30 minutes. The girls made no attempt to get us seated and serve us.

Great food but the kitchen seems to be working out some kinks. The menu is very big and they have some interesting specials. We made a few adjustments to our order (added jalapeños, onion, and tomato) but nothing was included. We ordered fries and cheese sauce instead of beans/rice but got beans/rice. We were very happy with the jalapeño appetizer and thought the dipping sauce was to die for. It had enough spice to compliment the jalapeños but not too much overpower them. My pork drunken tacos were excellent! I highly recommend. The chorizo enchiladas were basic, tasty but average. We couldn't see the green sauce but there was a little kick to them so we assume it was there somewhere. I'd like to try more of their specials because I think this is where the kitchen shines. We plan to try them again in a few months after they have things flushed out.

La Cabana is my favorite Mexican restaurant in West Bend, their food is very good and the service is wonderful as well. Savannah and all the other servers are always very attentive and make sure patrons have what they need. I enjoy the Quesadilla and the Chimichangas, the only thing that I feel could use improvement is their Salsa, it isn't very flavorful. Overall this establishment offers a fun atmosphere for great Mexican cuisine in the Washington county area.
