La Birrieria

I was looking forward to try birria, their house specialty. What a disappointment. The meat was not tender at all. Absolutely nothing special about their birria. Why does the owner walk around with such a long face?

Fresh made corn tortillas call ahead and order to go fresh made goat and beef Birria, so fresh and delicious. The waitresses are very very nice and attend to your table quite often to see if you need water or new refreshment. Or order some more food. It's a nice are you gonna have a few group of friends, just to have a little get together to bring a date family it's a little diamond of a family run restaurant if you haven't tried this place it's a must you can dine in or take to go either way you'll be very very satisfied

See some people complaining about this place, but all I can say is: this is the best place for barbacoa de chivo o de borrego!! Love the service and taste is amazing! Sure gets busy but that should tell you how great its this place!

This is a little hole in the wall in East San Jose. I've passed it a million times, and today I made it in. I ordered the Enchiladas California de Pollo. ( I don't do goat!). The sauce has a nice little kick and the beans were awesome! Good Mexican rice is hard to find, but their's was good. Definitely B+.

So...just paid the bill....not sure how that plate & 2 beers cost $34! Listed price was $13 for plate & $6 per beer = $25 Since the place only had 2 other customers I felt bad complaining. I just will not come back.

the best birria in town no one else has that unique taste. This place reminds me of Mexico with fresh hand made tortillas definitely recommend

I had bad service, bad prices and bad quality. They were food once upon a time was good... not anymore in my opinion.

The food was alright. Not the best. The salsa was spicy and really good. They charge an extra dollar if you ask for more which sucks because I got 2 burritos and they gave exactly 2 small cups of salsa. The $1 pays for 2 more.

I would've rated this place more if the staff wasn't rude and if the food tasted better. I used to come here 15 years ago because my high school was down the street but, it's not the same.

It's my family first time trying birrieria and it's not really for us. The pozole, which I had before at other restaurants, were much better. The place is small but clean.

I tried the Lamb Taco (taco de borrego) and it was delicious, crunchy like carnitas, and flavorful. I also tried the quesabirria of beef (res) with a side of consume. A lot of consume was served. I will come back for those lamb rib tacos! Fast service, came with a large party.

The consomé was missing flavor and the food was ok. Salsa was good and quick service but this was a Friday in the middle of the day.
