I am so disappointed that I agreed to the guaranteed offer. First
of all Opendoor who took the contract for my house is absolutely terrible. my house was in really good shape except for a couple of minor details and they didn't even fix it, right.
I have felt a lot of pressure to buy the place I am in. I wish I could go back and do everything over again and it's only been a year since I acquired this place.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ron H.Minnetonka, MN01Feb 2, 2023
The guaranteed offer program is a scam, do not waste your time. Their initial offer for our home was 345k. The team called and said they needed to do an exterior inspection (there are no issues with the exterior of the home). After this inspection was completed the Kris Lindahl team stated we would need to pay them 6k to take our home. This experience was a massive waste of time and very disappointing.

We were sent an email confirmation and spoke to an agent to confirm our appointment. We waited for 15 minutes. Could not get a hold of anyone at the agency. Called the organize, the main line, the realtor. Finally the organizer, Ashley Roy writes back, "sorry we couldn't figure this one out, not sure what happened." We tried to call her, she would not pick up. Finally got a hold of someone on the main line and though she promised to find out what was going on and call back, she just never called us back. Everyone is super apathetic and useless. Don't waste your time.

Jillian,
Thanks for sharing your experience. We rely heavily on feedback like this to constantly improve our systems and training, because providing hyper-responsive customer service is our bread and butter. In fact, it's the main reason we get so many five-star reviews. The experience you describe doesn't live up to our standards. It's not acceptable, and I apologize for that. Despite your experience, I CAN assure you that my team is not the way you describe. They are the hardest-working, most motivated and most generous group in real estate, and whatever led to the confusion and lack of response in your case was definitely the exception and not the rule. Even though your first experience with us was not the positive one we normally deliver, we would love the chance to "right the ship" if you're open to giving us another opportunity to work with you. If not, I totally understand. Our expectation is to get things right the first time, every time. Thanks again. - Chad T.Minneapolis, MN22Aug 14, 2020
I called to check out this "Guaranteed Offer" program. Set up an appointment for one of their realtors to come out, check out my home, and talk about the program.
Hours later they called back to reschedule. Fine I guess, but the scheduler set up the appointment with a realtor that was already out of town that day. So that was odd.
Then 30 minutes before our new appointment, the realtor emails me to cancel. Emails???? She has my phone number. She could have texted me. But nope, emailed. So I sat there waiting for her for like 40 minutes wondering where she was, because I don't check my emails every 5 minutes.
So I wrote the scheduler an email the next morning to tell them I would still be open to meeting a realtor, but I don't want to deal with this realtor.
I have been ghosted. Haven't heard from them in 2 days.
I guess I don't qualify for the guaranteed offer.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Chad,
What you describe here is definitely NOT a good customer service experience, and I apologize. I know that our agency did have an emergency situation to deal with, but that is not an excuse for how it was handled or the lack of follow-up with you. We preach responsiveness and customer service HEAVILY in our training, and this is clearly an instance where we fell short. Again, I'm sorry for the time we cost you in this instance, and I appreciate you bringing it to our attention. - Tim R.St Paul, MN1032657Mar 4, 2020
In my one encounter, they did not come off as very sharp. I called to get a walk through one of the properties they have listed. One of their agents, Anna, texted me and said there was no 'showing time for this evening'. I expressed surprise as the house was cleared of all furniture and personal items. A few texts go back and forth and she admits it is her schedule, not the house's ,that is full this evening. She said she would find an agent that was available to walk me through the house. Then told me an offer was already placed on the house. Ummm: should that not have been the first thing she looked for concerning the property and not waited until 7 texts went back and forth to find this out?

Thank you for sharing this experience. It certainly doesn't sound like the level of customer service we're known for providing, and I completely agree with your reaction based on what you described. What we've found is that the vast majority of our clients appreciate our high level of responsiveness and accessibility. Without having your last name, I was unable to find the details on this particular interaction, including whether or not the other offer was made in the past or in "real time" while you were communicating with our agent. Regardless, I apologize for your experience and assure you that it's not typical of KLRE

I haven't lived in MN for 6 years and out of the blue I get a text spam at 9pm "Hi it's Jacob with the Kris Lindahl Team. You started the process of looking for a new home a while back and I would LOVE to help make that a reality in 2020. What is a good time for me to call and spend 10 minutes discussing your home search with you?"
I guess they save all your personal information forever...Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Hey, what can I say: We believe in a Be Generous philosophy, and sometimes that means following up with someone who hasn't lived in Minnesota for a "generous" about of time, LOL! I'll remove you from our system, unless those hot summers in Frisco drive you back north. Take care, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Stay away from this company. They were on the listing end of a property
that we made an offer on. We decided to back out of the deal in plenty of time to receive my Ernest money back. They resold the property asap
and the property has even gone PENDING and we still have not received a check. When our agent calls it's nothing but lies that the check was sent out on Thursday, then it's on Tuesday. When I've called to speak to the broker and left my number, no returned call. They really should be reported to the Commerce Department as the Minnesota Board of Realtors is another joke.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Steve,
I apologize for the negative experience you describe. It definitely doesn't sound like the kind of customer service what we strive for and are known for. Our record with accredited and regulatory agencies is actually quite good. In fact, we have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. This forum is obviously a bit more "Wild West," and without more information, I can't look into the facts of any interaction you may have had with us. I assume that the situation has been resolved to your satisfaction, but if not, please call us.
Thank you.
Kris - A C.Long Beach, CA31312Feb 21, 2018
Scammers. My 1st impression is that they make their money off people who wouldn't know any better. I'll give them credit though.. they must train their people continuously for everyone all to get on that same cheisty page. Literally every listing they have on their site is pending or contingent.. All you have to do is cross reference the address. No need to give them all your info. so they can just turn around and try to close you as a client. If you have a realtor already.. well, stand in line because you are now not a priority. If you are listing with them, be ware. They may be playing puppet to thier advantage. Just saying.

A.C.,
I'm sorry to read your opinion of our company, especially because it describes the exact opposite of what I've tried to build. I'm not seeing any indication in your response that you personally worked with us (did you move from Minnesota to Long Beach?), but if you did, I'd like to learn more so I can address your specific concerns. The truth is, our way of doing business is all about making properties as desirable as possible so that our clients get maximum value for their investment. We take that VERY seriously, and we pride ourselves on customer service and showing people that we treat their home like it was our own. Again, if you had a personal experience with us that didn't meet your satisfaction, I would be more than happy to address it.
Thank you.

The Kris Lindahl team has been fantastic the entire time we've worked with them. Kris himself is one of the most generous people I know, he gives back to the community and his staff and it shows!

I did not have a good experience. They do not put the client first. My agent was unresponsive, did nothing to help me find a new home, but was very quick to sell my house and take the commission which was highway robbery in my opinion. Keep looking.

Jennifer,
It personally disappoints me to hear about your experience. We absolutely strive to put the client first, always. From the way we're structured to the people we hire, everything we do is about empowering the customer in a home transaction, putting you in control, giving you more choices, and never forgetting that this is one of the most important investments you'll ever make. Without knowing more about you or your situation, I can't respond point by point to your concerns, but I appreciate you sharing them, and I can assure you that we work hard to get better every day.
Thank you.
Kris
