Mint cookies and cream was scrumptious! I ordered a junior's cone which was the perfect amount for a post dinner treat. Ambiance was very chill. I went on a Tuesday night and it was packed. I can't imagine what how busy it would be on a weekend or summer. Def recommend you try!

There are a couple of truths I live by. And one is; it's never too hot for coffee or too cold for ice cream. Now will I tend to order cold brew a little more frequently in the sweltering months? Sure. And when in Harrisonburg at the beginning of November, I might have to warm up things a little. Kline's had me covered.
My brisk walk (for all of three blocks) was worth the redness of my face and watery eyes for as I approached the order window, there before me was a photo of a apple dumpling with a scoop of ice cream on top. So as not to assume, a apple dumpling is a cored and peeled apple that has been breaded and baked. That empty core typical holds cinnamon, butter, and sugar. And always, always a scoop of ice cream or frozen custard on top. Just imagine that warm dumpling with the vanilla ice cream slowly melting on top, creating a moot of delicious goodness in the bowl. When I tell you that I had consumed every bite (and slurped the remains) in less than 5 minutes, that is not an exaggeration. I didn't even look up, so as to avoid eye contact of anyone questioning the last time I had received a meal.
Now they make the ice cream fresh each day and they've been around since 1943 (aka, 80 years!) so there's no doubting the quality of anything on the menu. Frozen coffee, milkshakes, flurries, larger amounts of ice cream (to take home or consume in your car), and of course the classic banana split. Stop by and try it for yourself. I know I'll be back when I travel that way this year.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Kayla W.Milltown, NJ064Apr 3, 2024
Was passing through the area and had looked up a nearby ice cream spot to stop, and this was one of the first ones to pop up. Ordered chocolate ice cream and it was very watery/ icy and was 100% just vanilla mixed with chocolate syrup. Now if that's what you're looking for, this is the place to go. However, it was not advertised as that and as someone who is definitely a big chocolate fan and expects ice cream to be actual chocolate, I was disappointed. Must be honest and say I threw it out after about 3 bites.

This place is okay. It seems like a normal ice cream stand/shop in the Harrisonburg area. We passed it and thought to try it. I wanted to get something different like a specialty item or something, especially since I'm not from that area. The only available flavors at the time were vanilla, chocolate, and cookies & cream. The person in the window seemed impatient and annoyed with my questions about the specialty items. I was not going to get anything at that point but my daughter really wanted to try the ice cream. The ice cream was good, like average tasting ice cream.
It seems like a popular spot. It was a Saturday night and there was a line. There was ample parking for the amount of people there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 42133219Jun 11, 2022
Had asked around for a local ice cream spot and was directed here. Very much plain custard+ some toppings for about $5.
Can see why it would be a local favorite, but not really worth it IMO. Why is it called a sundae if it's just scoops with a topping?
Very cute doggy cup + water for dogs. There is some outdoor seating as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ellie S.Fords, NJ75593Aug 25, 2023
Oh my lord-- how is this place still in business? The ice cream was so bad and the surly teenagers were rude, yet there was still an inexplicably long line?

Good ice cream, great retro-like atmosphere. Reminds me of the ice cream stores i grew up with in the 80s.
You don't come here to peruse a huge number of options, but what they have is generally good.
I went with a special- chocolate chip cherry . Good but not amazingHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
