King Phillip Motel

Our room was clean, warm and recently updated. Bathroom was newly tiled with new fixtures. 2 double beds were comfortable. Quiet location. Satellite TV, microwave & frig. Tonight we'll try the restaurant which gets rave reviews. Room was freshened daily by staff. Hot water baseboard heater was in a room next to ours but the occasional sound of furnace was faint. Hiking trail next door. We'd stay here again 3 1/2 *

Review is based on room conditions. We were told its a smoke free room. So not the case, i was hit with an overwhelming smell of stale cigarette smoke as soon as the door opened. Couldn't change rooms because the motel was booked.
Things we discovered
Blood on the curtains.
Blood on a pillow with a clean pillow case.
Mold growing on the ceiling.
An extremely rusty baseboard heater beside the toilet. Caused from men urinating on it.
Wifi without internet connection.
I did bring some of this issues to the attention of the motel worker. Only issue dealt with was the removal of the pillow. Not replaced just removed.
When I spoke to staff they reply was always "I"ll have to talk to the owner. Impression I was left with is the staff either couldn't help or didn't care enough to fix any issue.

i didn't like staying there because the Beds where to hard there and plus the Room was also way to small for my Husband and for me and plus we couldn't sleep on those hard Beds . i woke up with a bad Back on both nights we were there!

I was very pleasantly surprised by The King Phillip Motel. I booked a room for one night....it was actually basically 12 hours by the time we arrived after horrible traffic. We were doing The Boston Spartan Super weekend and this place is very close to the race venue compared to anything else I could find online. I was Leary of booking a place kind of in the middle of nowhere just based on what you see on their website but it did not disappoint!! The room was super clean and the air conditioner worked great, very important in August! We had dinner at the restaurant and the lobster mac n cheese was fantastic. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating and the waitress Barb even offered one of us her own personal sweater because it was chilly in the restaurant. Overall it was Very very nice and we would stay again!!

Food is excellent. Everything from appetizer's to main course. The staff are warm and welcoming. I could eat there everyday. I stayed at the room and it wasn't bad except I am a non smoker there had been smokers in there. I used febreeze every time I was in there. I think the carpet and mattresses should be changed out and the room would be great. The restaurant is awesome

We stayed in this motel last Friday night after a long drive from New Hampshire on our way home in Southeastern Massachusetts. The first room we were given had no cable working. The manager switched us to another room. After a few hours, the water didn't work at all. The manager, who was really trying to accommodate, offered to move us to a third room. By this time, we just wanted our money back and to leave. At that point the owner was called in. He discovered that the water was off in all the rooms, so he did call a plumber. We were told that the plumber would fix the problem overnight. The water came back on during the night. However, at 8:20 Saturday morning, a loud banging on the door awoke us. It was the plumber telling us the water would be shut off in 10 minutes!!! I was starting to think we were on some show to see how much we could tolerate. At this point we grabbed our stuff and left. When we returned the key, not one word of apology was given. This is by far the WORST motel I have ever stayed at.

not bad.very few channels on the tv and the room did not have a fridge or microwave. but other then that it is always very clean and fairly quiet. although if you are there on a night when the bar is busy then the quiet part can go out the window. we were there during the winter once and a bunch of people on snowmobiles came out of the bar and were being pretty loud and obnoxious in the parking lot. rooms are pretty good sized. some better then others. but overall the best motel in the area. plus they have the delicious resturaunt right up front
