So on my first few visits, I thought it wasn't too bad. However, on a recent visit to see my stepmom who is recovering she had been waiting for a dose of pain medication for three hours. They told me some story about how they had run out and had to wait for the pharmacy to refill their order and then count and inventory the pills. No one came and explained this to my stepmom who was waiting. When I pushed the call button, no one came for fifteen minutes. What if something else was wrong besides the pain medicine? Not the best customer service or patient care.

This place is wonderful. After emergency surgery and 4 weeks in another hospital icu (3 weeks intubated 1 with trach) my mom was moved here with a trach still on a vent. 2 weeks later she was miraculously, successfully weaned. 35 day's on a vent! Now trach is out, she is breathing on her own, eating, talking, writing. She is 84 years young.
From Andris who facilitated the move, to lisa and ted at the top, to Shawn, pharah, the miracle workers in respiratory, Lindsay in speech/feeding, pt, ot, special nurses especially Saddie and felithe, and of course the attentive, supportive, approachable doctors, the care my mother was given was incredible.
Today she transfers to a skilled nursing facility. This never would have been possible without team kindred.
I am forever grateful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

DEATH by Kindred is a real thing. My father was admitted alert and communicative. Within days he was over sedated into a state of unconsciousness. He was given lorazepam, oxy and seroquel, which has a black box warning of sudden death. His partner started screaming that she wanted him off the sedatives. Within two days, he went into cardiac-pulmonary arrest in the middle night and was intubated in the ICU. It was only at this point that they were willing to transfer him out via ambulance. He was transferred to Broward Health. He continued to be unresponsive, which is when his nurse disclosed that he had coded at Kindred for 23 minutes. Nightmare facility: doctors never call, he was there 12 days and a doctor called once, over sedated to death. I don't how these people live with themselves.

place basically killed my father by overmedicating him until he became unresponsive then lied about it

Worst service EVER! My dad was transfered there a week ago and passed away while in their care.
I should have checked out the facility prior, but the " Rep " who was at Broward center when he was in ICU, assured us the service was excellent and where he needed to be .
9 days and we spoke tom his doctor " DR Ryder " 15 min !!! Never any upodates or return calls.
Soiled sheets, Unporfessional staff . A disaster !
AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABIOUT YOUR LOVED ONES.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Pretty H.Miramar, FL064Aug 3, 2023
They continously called me trying to force me to sign a do not resuscitate form but they failed to call me when my relative passed away. They are wicked and evil! I don't recommend this facility to anyone.

DO NOT SEND A LOVED ONE HERE DR. MOLINO AWFUL STAFF HORRIBLE MEDICINE LEFT SEALED ON TRAY TABLE NURSE SAID"OH YOU GIVE IT SORRY" Mother had NOT BEEN CLEANED except once entire stay. THE PATIENTS left dirty, my mom left in the same socks she came to this hospital a week ago. THE FLOORS, THE ELEVATORS were never cleaned once nor her tray table. AND I CAN TELL YOU AWFUL Patient Care!!
CARE IS NOT IN THEIR VOCABULARY. Mom was sent with 2 liters of oxygen I found her on 31/2 liters with blood pouring down from nose into mouth and down her chin. Response was almost one hour and the respiratory guy says I'm not in charge of her, Take
The oxyen off and see how she does. I asked for a monitor to see what she would read and he said if she gasps, put it back on. The bloody nose piece must be still hanging on the wall. 2 days later we transferred mom out. The place does Not demand doctors to respond to Voicemails nor the nurses ever got the correct orders for medications after textsto doctors. Imagine dr enters room and doesn't say who he is and why he's there and no badges! Arrogant as they can be, I was told they are contractors? Patient care? Non existence!
The nutrition center a pig stye with no cups, jello or utensils or coffee for patients. Meals delivered with no choices and undefined proteins.

Worst "care" ever. Please DO NOT let anyone you care about stay here.....dirty, antiquainted, lazy, cheap, unprofessional. Be prepared get on their backs. My husband almost got the WRONG SURGICAL PROCEDURE. But he and I both stopped it. I could go on and on about how horrific this place is (physical restraints, over-medicating/sedating, cold food, lying in his feces for hours....it never ens). Be prepared to work hard if your loved one end up in this nightmarish facility.

I don't even know here to begin, this place is THE WORST I MEAN WORST Place you can send your family member. If I could rate it -100 stars I would. Nobody gives two fucks about the patients. My dad was left laying in feces and urine for hours. They hid his call light so he can't reach it to ask for help. The staff members are so rude. I don't even know how this place is up and running. I usually don't write reviews on business but I feel like other people should know about this place before sending their love ones there. I wish I could attach photos and videos so you guys can see as proof. The nurses can't answer questions about patient care when you ask them. Sigh man I'm writing this and the tears can't stop falling because no one deserves to get treated the way the staff members at that facility treat patients. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST, IT's LITERALLY A DEATH TRAP!!!!!

Kamaley has helped me to walk again. She pushes me to not only do my best but push past. Marji and David have been a great motivation in the healing process. Della is so supportive to me and all the patient here at Kindred hospital..
