Is this location still open? I went by on 11/10/2020 at 3:00 pm and it was dark, door locked. Left a voicemail but I haven't heard back in 2 days? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

      A:

The location on Fillmore is still open. The place at Stonestown, however, closed.

I like how this location is surrounded by bars and coffee shops. Reminiscent of my nights back when friends and I would hit a bar and talk about our days!

I'm glad this store is close to my job! Two months ago, Lisa, a worker from the Stonestown location told me she'd transfer to this location. It is helpful to see a familiar face somewhere new. Basically, I can go run an errand (recycle) as long as I find parking nearby!

This store has the best skin care products that I've ever been able to find. The price is higher but that's because the quality is amazing. Every brand says it, but in this case, a little bit truly does go a long way. The sales assistants are very helpful and will make sure you find exactly the right products for your skin type.

Expensive but you get what you pay for. I always talk to a rep here and tell them what I am looking for. I have always been helped kindly and efficiently. This past time the register took 5 mins to do my transaction but we used it to wrap my moms gift. I have been going here for about 4 years now for holiday shopping. Never been let down, also was recommended a face wash that is 10x better than my budget brand

Went in for a skin consultation today. Leslie did the consultation, and she was so nice and helpful. It was really informative, and she recommended some great products that I'm really excited about.

As a man, you never forget the first time... you bought your first moisturizer and oil-free sunscreen.

I haven't been much of a sunscreen or moisturizer wearer, but I keep hearing how important it is to protect yourself from UVs. Figured it was time to man up. The store clerk was great and quickly paired me up with the right stuff, he also loaded my gf up with free samples to her delight. Great customer service and my purchases seem to be working out, though only time will tell!

Wow...so i go in today and the people there were friendly and accomadating. So the one star is certainly not for the staff.

The one star is because this company makes CHEAP pennywise pound foolish decisions that

1.) Make me question the decisions they make throughout the company including the quality of their product ingredients

2.) How much they care about the customer experience.

In the tech forward city we live in it is not uncommon for people to use mobile payment options. Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay make our lives faster and more convenient.

Kiehls chose to not use APPLE Pay (see reason below) and instructed it's employees that they would not accept any mobile payment systems because APPLE sent them a bill ONE TIME for a service Kiehls did not sign up for (Apple pay).

So after one, I'm sure relatively small bill they stopped accepting all MOBILE payment methods, or so the cashier tells me. Great so now i have to dig through my bag, grab the wallet, and wait for the chip card reader to take it's sweet sweet time.

Of the available payment options APPLE PAY is probably the worst offender charging a 15%(!!!!!!) fee for each transaction. Let me put this another way, greedy a$$ CrApple wants 15 cents of every dollar the merchant makes. WTF?!?!

HOWEVER, Samsung Pay DOES NOT charge any FEE. let me repeat this. SAMSUNG PAY DOES NOT CHARGE MERCHANTS A FEE FOR TRANSACTIONS. I could of used my Samsung pay to quickly move on and out of that place effortlessly. Instead i lose minutes of my life because some stunod got a bill from CrApple and freaked out.

Kiehls is owned by L'oreal a global multi BILLION dollar company. So is L'Oreal not accepting mobile payments globally. I doubt that. I think some middle management dimwitin the Kiehls vertical got a bill from CrAPPLE and the knee jerk reaction was to stop all mobile payments. Well shit where else are you making knee jerk reactions? your products? Ingredients?

I bought the products but i won't be returning to any Kiehls stores, probably ever. With so many other options why should I purchase skin care products from a division of a global company that has unwise management and reactionary policies.

F#$& Apple for their outrageous 15% fee and F#$% Kiehls management for making dumb decisions that hurt the customer experience and ultimately their brand

      DON'T BELIEVE THE LIES! :)

I've been shopping at this location since it was on the corner of Fillmore and Sacramento ~10 years ago. This store (once great) is how I was introduced to the brand! I've been loyal to them and will continue to be... just not at the Fillmore location anymore (there's another Kiehl's on Market and they've been stellar this far).

Back in the day they were excellent here, but how things change! I've now had a couple mildly rude/indifferent experiences at the Fillmore store over the last couple years, similar to fellow Yelpers Trina and Elizabeth, who also had bad customer service experiences here over the last couple months. However today was the final customer service nail in the coffin...

Today at the store I asked the salesperson, Leslie, when the next promotion would be "like the usual buy ~$75 and get a free item, something like that," I asked. Leslie said the next promotion wouldn't be till after Thanksgiving (today is Aug 30th). So I sucked it up and she helped me pick out a few items to buy (I'm attaching a photo of the receipt, not a small amount).

I PAID Leslie for my items... and then I asked her about deluxe samples... and that's when she let the cat out of the bag: "If you come back on September 8th and spend $75 you'll get a free pack of deluxe samples, and if you spend $100 you'll get a free facial cleanser." Oops! My question about the deluxe samples had risen the truth to the surface, like a good exfoliant. Now to wash it all away: "I just paid all this money for all these items and there IS... a promotion in about a week?" She stared blankly at me, the reply was brisk and robotic: "you can return them."

I did. I left. I'll come back to a different Kiehl's location to take advantage of the promotion in nine days (not 3 months). In the meantime perhaps my money not being spent at the Fillmore store will be a small dent in their month end quota, which appears to be more important than company culture and customer relationships.

Deceiving customers is no way to close a sale.
I won't be back to Kiehl's on Fillmore. Your customer service used to be so awesome. What happened? :(

      Great customer service from Jeremy!
They were out of a product I needed, and after a few calls was able to locate it at another store.
Such a pleasant and professional experience.
Thanks Jeremy, will be back again!
