Want to give a shout out to the dream-team of birthday parties! Geo, Malaiya and Jen were so organized, attentive and engaged with all the guests and children at my son's birthday part this past weekend. All the parents were so impressed by the activities they lead and the kids thoroughly enjoyed all the play areas, toys and dress-up costumes at their disposal. I was definitely appreciative of how quickly and efficiently they were able to set-up/pack-up all the decorations and food for our party.....everything looked perfect.
Thank you for all your smiles and hard work. You made my son's birthday so fun and memorable for him, and all the rest of us :-) Thank you also to Marlaena for helping me with all the pre-party planning and caring for the special details that brought everything together. She was happy to answer all my questions/e-mails and fulfill all my requests to customize the party for a dinosaur theme.
Kids Ventures is the best.......everyone should have their child's birthday party here!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 6, 2017Previous reviewWe chose Kid Ventures Liberty Station to host our son's first birthday party this past weekend. Boy, was it amazing! We can't compliment them enough on a job well done! From start to finish, Jessi and her crew were there for us to make this occasion so special for our son and guests. It was the best first birthday party a child and parent could ever ask for. Our guests were so impressed with the set-up of the party room, cleanliness of the play area and structured activities for the kids.
Planning our party at Kid Ventures was hands down the best decision! We had very specific and detailed requests to personalize our son's party which Jessi so gracefully accommodated. They really go out of their way to allow parents to express their own creativity touch to party. Compliments to David and Jill as well, for patiently answering our questions and helping with party preparations when Jessi had a day off.
Jessi, Hannah & Donaye took all the stress off planning and hosting our party so we could enjoy watching our son and mingling with our guests. They decorated our party room for us, welcomed our guests with a big smile, organized our food/cake/beverages, lead the kid games/activities and took care of the post-party clean up.
Hannah & Donaye did a phenomenal job engaging all the children with the games and helped each of them feel comfortable to explore and have fun! They were able to adjust and accommodate for the children of different ages too (1-12 years old).
We highly recommend Kid Ventures for your child's birthday party. You will not be disappointed with your investment. Your child will have the best time ever! - 3006122160Feb 22, 2018
This is a good place to take your kid on a rainy or a chilly day if you wanna get out of the house but still have an place that is safe and its indoors, so your kid can run around, play and burn some energy.
$18 for a kid to enter i found to be a bit high, but there is no set time limit. Its a shoe free area so bring socks, otherwise you will have to purchase.
In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend to take your kid who is not walking yet or just started to walk. This place is more for toddlers. I would say Gymboree is better for non-walkers or early walkers.
Why 3 stars? well, the price and the size of the place. I'm comparing it to a Discovery center in Escondido, which is pretty similar, but X10 bigger with lots of extras.
i can see this place would be great for a b-day party.
The staff was really nice and energetic.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 2785862266May 13, 2017
This place is awesome! My two year old had tons of fun playing in the grocery store, kitchen, nursery, castle, pirate ship, fire truck and various toys. She also got to participate in staff-led activities (obstacle course, singing, etc). She had a blast and didn't want to leave -- after two hours!
I liked the cafe and the available snack options - for kids: apple juice, apple sauce, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, and real coffee/mocha/espresso and various baked goods for adults. I think there were also more robust food options.
There's free wifi, too. It's a great to chat with a friend while keeping an eye on your kids, safely enclosed in a clean play space catered to imagination and fun.
I haven't taken advantage of a Kid's Night Out yet (5-9pm theme-based babysitting for $40 the third Friday of each month) but I plan to soon!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jill S.San Diego, CA1530Sep 11, 2021
We had a really positive experience with my 4YO at KidVentures, Point Loma. The team there (Mr. Peter and Ms. Allison were who we interacted with mostly) were caring and attentive to him and really worked to bring him out of his post-COVID-return-to-preschool shell. It was a delight to watch and when we had to leave (moved) we really felt the loss. 5*, highly recommend.

Had my son's 2nd Birthday here. Love the place and staff; staff was very helpful. Reason why I gave it a 4 star was because I didn't find the "15min" set-up time to be helpful. The parties are booked too close together. We should have at least 1hr to set-up. I mean, no one likes their guest to come and just stand there while you struggle to finish setting up. Overall, our party turned out great!!!!! If you plan a party here, just make sure you do the minimum set-up. There isn't really enough time to set anything up except the kids table.
BUT our guests did enjoy the party! The staff are very helpful until the end; loved everyone who worked on 1/28. Great staff with good attitude =] And the kids were highly entertained so that is definitely a plus!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Wendi J.San Diego, CA1238154113Jul 31, 2017Updated review
The kids love it here. The staff is nice and this is probably one of the cleanest indoor playgrounds I've been to in sd. Plus side is they also have a cafe with healthy snacks and coffee for the parents including iced lattes!
You can also throw bday parties which I have done in the past but at another location.
If you don't want to eat at the cafe, there are a ton of options right next door as well!
This place also has wifi so parents can work from their computer while kids play :)
Great for everyone !Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Feb 9, 2017Previous reviewStaff is friendly. It's not as big as 4s ranch but still fun and the kids love it.
The cafe is nice to have too. This is the best indoor place to go for kids! Also there are a ton of restaurants near by as well. - Vivi F.San Diego, CA16107Oct 13, 2017
Today was my first time here with my almost three year old and I don't know why I didn't come here sooner. He loved it! We came for the Big Elmo visit and it was somewhat crowded, which was to be expected.
While the other kids enjoyed Elmo, we played in the castle and pirate ship. They come complete with fun outfits to try on like pirate hats, vests and crowns. There are slides, push toys and even a play market with shopping carts and registers.
We stayed for hours and the kids were entertained by the energetic staff. Some entertainment included (washable) painting with shaving cream, a parachute, and pumpkin and spider crafts for Halloween. They even played kid friendly Halloween music over the speaker.
This is an easy place to entertain your older children and baby carry your newborn!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chrisell G.San Diego, CA3703261Jun 6, 2018
Wonderful place to host a birthday for younger children. They have multiple options in specific packages you decide to choose to make the day perfect for your little ones. The downside is that you only have 15 mins to set up the private room for your party.

EDIT: the Owner reached out to me and offered his apologies along with a free pass for our next visit. I'm glad the review was taken seriously.
It was our first time at this location. Let's start with the positives. It's a bit hard to find so just follow the signs. Upon entering, the lady at the front was so friendly and welcoming! Having worked in the customer service industry for a long time, I always look for good customer service in establishments & she exceeded my expectations. This place is a lot smaller than the Eastlake location but it worked for us.
THE BIG CON: the worker! She has wavy, brunette hair, more dark. She is horribly impatient with the children. She is always yelling at them when they get excited saying things like "You hurt my ears" while making a bad face. She yells at them from across the room to stop running & talking loud. When another parent questioned that rule, she gave attitude and said "Yep! That's the rule. They need to keep it down because their voices shake the whole building." REALLY??? They are kids! Someone who is impatient with kids SHOULD NOT be working with them. There are ways to go about getting your point across instead of yelling, making stank faces & giving attitude so 2 stars for that. I sure hope this issue is addressed.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Crystal Ann J.San Diego, CA3628919Feb 14, 2018
This is definitely not your average indoor playground. It's an upscale, totally different place for your kids to play. They have an interactive teacher there at all times. We came on a Wednesday evening and there were some kids but it wasn't so busy that my kids couldn't play. The staff is amazing. We will definitely be back.
