Kauffman's Bar-B-Que Chicken

Good lunch for four people was under $40.

Recommend the chicken tenders, fantastic lobster bisque and fried oyster sandwich, didnt like the chicken croquettes...and the salad bar was great...and the pies and ice cream looked great but we didn't partake.

This restaurant is a national treasure! There is no better bbq chicken anywhere! The staff is always friendly and they serve ice cream. What could be better than that!

Best chicken ever! And all food too. Great ambiance, loving people. Always a busy place so it's no wonder why!

To begin with, if I were just reviewing dinner this would be lower, but Kaufman's has fantastic mini-golf and ice cream and those aspects make this a great place to take families. The facilities are very well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Kauffman's is a cafeteria style restaurant. It's not BBQ no matter what they advertise as there isn't a Pit Master and their aren't any of the traditional BBQ sauces or side dishes prepared in the style of a BBQ restaurant. It is locally famous for their rotisserie chicken and deservedly so. It is excellent. However, the rest of the menu is less successful. Most of the other dishes are not freshly made but are from frozen and/or prepackaged items. The hamburgers my niece and nephew ordered were awful and were clearly from frozen grocery store bought patties on store bought buns (and not good ones either). The salad bar is ok, but is rather basic without exceptional quality in the produce. Overall I would skip dinner here but come for the mini-golf and the ice cream. Their milkshakes and sundaes are fabulous.

10/10. Chicken is delicious. Baked potatoes are outstanding. Prices are great. Service is quick. Kitchen is visible from the ordering line and looks very clean. Dining room area is clean, brightly lit, and not too loud. Overall, those who know, know: Kauffman's isn't fancy or pretentious: it's just good, hearty, down home food.

Best place to have a delicious meal... HANDS DOWN... the ice cream parlor located in the same structure serves the best ice cream which is soft served... you can not go wrong with the all-you-can-eat salad bar, and burn off some well-earned calories at their mini golf field. Great service during my experience... highly recommend.

The world needs more simple down to earth true Americana restaurants likes this. How can you not fall in love with the charm, simplicity and pure throwback style this restaurant offers. Go for the Half Chicken with a side of Filling with gravy and don't forget hit that nostalgic Salad Bar.

Food always excellent. But their service has really gone down the toilet. Won't be going back.

Our friends took us to this restaurant for lunch. Never heard of it. Food was delicious. Alacarte dining is available as well. It is cafeteria style. I ordered small chicken dinner with potato filling (aka mashed potatoes) and gravy. Comes with salad bar and roll. Ordered lemon meringue pie. Chicken is juicy, flavorful Place is very nice, clean.

Love this place! We've been going there for years, prices are good for a sit down restaurant that includes an "all you can eat "salad bar and rolls with your chicken dinner and a potato side, we will continue to go back even though we live 30 minutes away
