Jordan Kitt's Music

I purchased a Yamaha digital piano years ago from Jordan Kitts Music in Fairfax. I recently purchased a new one as a birthday gift to myself. I was impressed by the wide-selection of pianos, but also the low-key atmosphere in the store where they try to support and guide your purchase decisions based on your needs. There is a very welcoming quality to the showroom and that really helps to try the different models and make sound decisions. I especially appreciated the help and follow-up from Brad Prentice and Kenny Pham. They are world class. Great experience with the team there.

I reached out to Jordan Kitt's after my piano teacher recommended them when I mentioned I was looking to buy a new Clavinova. The Sales Manager, Meera, was quick to get back to me and answer any questions I had. She even scheduled a time to meet me at the showroom on Lee Hwy to let me see one of the Clavinovas in person.

The showroom was clean and at 7pm on a Sunday during the coronavirus pandemic, I had the place to myself. Meera showed me the piano and told me a few things about it when I asked questions. After some time looking around at some of the other options on the showroom floor, I decided to stick with my original plan and ended up walking out some time later the proud owner of a new Yamaha Clavinova CLP-645.

My new piano was delivered to my home with care and expertise by two delivery men a few days later (the piano had to come from the warehouse) and they already had it assembled and ready to play!

I could not have asked for better service from the folks at Jordan Kitt's Music. And I got a great deal (hundreds less than any other retailer I've found) on this piano as well which makes the whole experience even more awesome.

I absolutely loved working with these guys. Excellent inventory of Yamahas and Bosendorfers, and excellent customer service. They bent over backwards to help me make the right decision on a new piano--arranging for me to sample many different pianos, and to hear them played by more accomplished pianists than I! Akeem, in particular, was wonderful to work with. He's extremely nice, low-key, great at following up and answering questions, and, most importantly, he gave me plenty of space to consider my options. Thank you, Jordan Kitt's.

I just purchased a Clavinova digital piano from Jordan Kitts in Fairfax. The experience was amazing. Their selection was awesome, but their service was better. I was particularly impressed by their focus on my musical needs. Instead of trying to upsell me to a more expensive model, they helped me realize that a model less expensive than I had initially wanted was actually the best fit for me! Wow! On top of that, they arranged delivery for two business days later and found a place with a charity for my old instrument. The delivery team showed exactly when advertised and knew exactly what to do. I won't be buying another big instrument soon, but if I was, I'd be back!

General Store Review: the Fairfax store takes the cake to all the others I've been to. They recently moved to this new location next to the furniture store and all i can say is FABULOUS! Because of this move, everything is brand-spanking new. No sketchy haunted pianos lurking in the back! Also, they recently hired new staff who really don't pressure you into buying anything. They're just really happy you stopped by. Oh, and did I mention they have a FREE concert series? All you do is join their mailing list or go to their website to register and you usually hear folks the day before they go to the Kennedy Center. You really can't beat that!

Lesson Review: So here's a bias for you - I took lessons from the Springfield Kitts store when I was knee high and I really enjoyed it, but had to stop because of time and money. I later wanted to take lessons as an adult, but If your not a little Mozart or Beethoven, it's really hard to find someone who will teach you. There's actually a teacher here who specializes in music lessons for adults. I'd have to say he's an extremely good teacher and you lets you play the songs you want to play as opposed to forcing you to play boring stuff! The private lesson rooms are new and superb. The only downside is that the store next door is an auto body shop, so you might hear some car repair noises...

I was shopping for a digital / hybrid piano here. Where to start? The salesman was condescending, when he wasn't ignoring me. They have piano lessons for tykes next to the showroom, where the instructor decided to impatiently ask me to stop testing the pianos, because, I don't know, maybe I didn't look like a parent willing to pay a silly amount of money for an instrument that I don't understand. They kicked me out with attitude as the store was closing at 5.

I went and bought a Kawai CS10 at the Piano Company in Leesburg instead. You should too!

Terrible customer service. The salesman literally walked away when I asked him a question and told me we can talk when I'm ready to make a purchase. So rude and unprofessional. Will NOT be coming back.

This is the best personal service I've ever received. I called late one day 30 minutes before closing and Clarke Maylone was very gracious to wait for me and my son to get there to look at some pianos. I specified the piano I wanted since it's the same one my brother has, Yamaha U1 upright which he purchased from this location and received great service. I asked Clarke for the best price which was brought down to $7,200. I can't remember the original price but I know it was over $9k. I had to double check some things with my brother and Clarke was very patient especially since it was past closing now. Paperwork was quick although they only let you charge $3k and the rest is check/cash. I received follow up calls up to the date of delivery which was in a very quick couple days. I noticed a scratch a day later and Clarke put me in touch with Saul who was just wonderful. Saul called me immediately and was very flexible allowing me to pick the most convenient time and he followed up and confirmed with me the day before. He did a magnificent job fixing it and gave the piano an extra polish for shine. Clarke continued to follow up after every step of this process and I couldn't be more pleased. It turns out my neighbor bought a piano for this location and was also very happy with the purchase. This was a pretty big purchase for me and Clarke appreciated my business and he cared enough to make sure I was completely satisfied at all times.

The piano movers were on time and did a great job. Very professional. BTW, they told me they only move pianos. A phone call was follow by the JK's sales, Mr. Maylone asked me how was the delivery the next day, and reminded me about scheduling a free tuning. I am happy with the experiences.
