5/15/2022Best late night pizza.
coming back from concert, I made love to my GF and we got hungry. Stumbled upon John &Joes, and I ended up making love again. This time it was my tongue and the PIZZA. We had margarita , pepperoni and white slices, and it was the best Late night pizza we could've asked for. A+ all around. - 1861431391
10/22/2021Exploring the area I normally ask Yelp what's good ?
But today I decided to ask a local what's your favorite pizza spot ?
The Bronx is where it's at!
This restaurant was recommended by a local Irwin Rock. He told me to never believe what they write online so Thank you for the
recommendation.
There is ample parking at this location. Use the park NYC app to explore the neighborhood
it's a Corner spot with tons of parking
$17 for a one topping pie. After eating I would pay 2x for reals for reals .
Made to order freshly prepared 20 min
Open kitchen and the dough he was prepping looked out of this world.
I was gonna get a slice at first to try but I overheard this gentleman talking about the golden days to another patron that was when I knew I had to go for the whole pie. From my observation dude is reputable cuz the pie was fire! Sheesh !
Supreme
If heaven served a pie it definitely came from
Here.
Brother John and Brother Joe and staff thank you for serving a damn good pie - 556588

11/18/2021This is my neighborhood pizza spot. Well you can get 10 garlic knots for 1$!!! Beat that, and let me tell you these are not ordinary knots, they are fresh done well and crispy!
Their plain pizza slices are good, I am not a big cheese aficionado, but still get them once in a while. Good crust and fresh. If you ever in this place, you will know that they serve it right and fresh! - Jonathan A.Queens, Queens, NY083
5/7/2022I was working in the area and decided to get lunch. This was one of the best slices I've had. The slices were large and delicious. Too bad I don't live around here because if I did this would definitely become my go to spot for pizza. Thanks for the amazing slices!

12/21/2020We were in the area and it was a spot my boyfriend remembers growing up. He used to eat it all the time!
It was very nostalgic for him. I love pizza. The slices at John and Joes were HUGE! I love that the sauce is sweet as well.
The pizza is great especially if you need a quick bite to eat. I used the hand sanitizer inside and it was a strong lemony smell that ruined my pizza since I kept smelling it from my hands. I guess I should just be happy they have hand sanitizer and are following guidelines for covid. But I suggest using your own if you don't want a strong scent.
Other than that. The pizza is good! - John C.SoMa, San Francisco, CA042
8/27/2021I have been coming to John and Joe's ever since they opened up here in the early 80s. I used to go to school at P.S. 105, down the block from them. I used to sneak out of school to go grab a slice and a soda when I was in 5th grade there and have been coming there ever since.
It a great little pizzeria with lots of eating options to offer. From regular pizza to anchovies, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, olives, you name it. If they got it you can get it. From stromboli to calzones. Chicken pizza to white pizza and sausage. Whatever you prefer.
My most favorite thing to have that they do is the cheese hot dogs. They're long and cheesy and the hit dogs have crunch to them. ( Meaning that you they're real beef hotdogs.) I think I'm addicted to them. LoL
It's a small place and seating is minimal because of their popularity in the neighborhood it gets crowded in here at any given moment when they get busy from lunch and dinner time.
I like to give my continual condolences to John on the passing of his brother Joe. I'm so relieved that he chose to keep the business going after Joe's passing. I know it was tough but I'm glad that John is keeping things going in Joe's absence. My continual love and prayers go out to John and Joe's family.
If you can't make it over there? No worries, they deliver locally around the neighborhood. Feel free to call and place your order. You can call ahead and pick up your order when you get there. And yes... They take cash and credit cards. If you go in person and can get a seat just sit back and enjoy the traditional pizzeria experience with friends and family. - William C.Manhattan, New York, NY01
2/27/20225 hours to get our order. No apology at all. Just "we got you next time". Customer service is horrible. Also got the order wrong. Don't order from this place they don't care about the customer.

12/15/2021I went here as a child, i lived on Matthew's Ave. Grew up in the pizza capital of the planet and John and Joe's was the best slice, hands down, I ever had. The perfect mix, and the sauce was perfect. Always kind service, even remember them often helping out people who couldn't afford a slice.
I returned 30 years later recently, and, I am happy to report, it is STILL THE BEST SLICE ON PLANET EARTH. Still good vibes. John and Joe's is a gift to us all. - Anthony R.New York, NY02
12/29/2021Just amazing. Literally. Pizza is off the damn charts. Always quick and easy with these guys.
