Jin's Buffet

Jin's did not survive. Doors are locked. There is no answer on their phone. The sign over the front of the restaurant has been removed.

Yesterday was one of the worst buffet experiences of my life. First off, they have discontinued the peanut sauce chicken, which I really loved. I went yesterday at 12:15, out of the dozen tables, I counted eight that were not cleared, nasty. The buffet was basically empty. I waited until 1 pm and they barely replaced any food. This used to be a decent low priced buffet, they have raised the price to $7. At one, they shut down the buffet. Interestingly, six or seven people came in, walked up to the buffet, took a look at the sad lay out and turned around and left. I should have left.

I thought it was very good. It's bigger than it looks on the outside. The interior was nice, Although my seat was a little worn. But let's get to the food! A wide selection and just as good as any Chinese buffet.

I'm glad I came, and I will come back again.

Ignore the bad ratings, we did and are so glad. Small but great selection and taste sushi bar around 20 choices, hibatchi has a small but very tasty selection, shrimp, beef, pork and crab plus about 10 veggies. The regular dishes bar are great as well with a good variety. Appetizers, dessert etc... it is ALL good. For lunch at $7.29 you will be happy.

Service was good, only complaint was sweeping as we were eating but they have a 99% sanitation rating so sweep on! English is a little poor but enough to get basics. In the area to look at In-laws new community home and can't wait to bring them here.

I decided I want to eat Chinese food at Jin's Buffet in Denver, NC, for supper. We went and were miserably disappointed. My husband's egg rolls were cold. The low mein noodles were cold, even after we watched them bring out new ones-cold. The beef and broccoli and chicken and broccoli had no flavor, as if they had just had sauce poured over them and not cooked. The rice was cold. The egg drop soup and the soup my husband had were both so hot, as not to be edible until we finished our food. I was wary of eating the sushi, since the other foods were not held at safe temperatures. How is this place still in business?

The food is ok. Definently not the best Chinese I have ever had. Although not bad, I thought the seasame chicken, honey chicken, and General tso chicken all tasted the same. The green beans which are my favorite item at most Chinese buffets were not cooked right and were almost raw. We seen our waitress 1 time for when she brought drinks. The girl up front took our drink order not our waitress. Our waitress never spoke a word to us. We even had to walk up front after eating and ask to pay so we could leave. Only up sides were food was not awful and edible. It was not crowded. Price was not too high. That's pretty much it. I don't think I would go back.

The general consensus of our party of 6......A few things were okay but as a whole the quality is poor and most was room temp at best at 5pm on a sat night. Won't be back.

Jin's is a place where the food quality all depends on when you go. If you go when it's busy, then you will get decent food that is fresh. Now if you go during off hours, especially between lunch and dinner the food isn't that good because it's been sitting out for hours and get dry. This is one restaurant I prefer to go to when it's busy so I can get some decent Chinese food. Also, the waitresses are not very friendly but as long as they keep my drink filled, I can overlook that.

To start off, I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars. Not because of anything bad. It's just regular fare but very small selection. It tasted great.

When you drive up it looks like a very place. But walk in and it's pretty good size. Waitresses are attentive and very nice. Prices weren't very bad. About $8. And they also have a full take out menu too.

I was pleased with this place. If I was on 73 again I would go. But I wouldn't go out of my way to get here.

I chose this place on a recommendation and was very disappointed. They do have sushi on their buffet, but it was never full. The rest of the buffet was just simply substandard. Chinese buffets are a dime a dozen and this was does not stand out.
