Jensen Guitars

Called to ask about equipment and amplifiers to play certain types of music. The woman who answered the phone wasn't knowledgeable about that and tried to end the conversation there. I had to make a visit to the store and follow up with another employee.

The store is small and cramped. Had a moldy smell to it.

I ended up going to the guitar store down the ways on main st and it was a night and day difference. Great customer service with a clean, bright store.

I've been visiting Jensen Guitars for the better part of a decade. For repairs, it's great: I've had set-ups, neck resets, bridge/nut work, cracks repaired etc and the repairs were always well done and reasonably priced. I've bought several instruments there and have always enjoyed the selection of new/vintage/consignment instruments. The last time I was in there were everything from the regular Fender/Gibson/PRS to Danelectro, Hagstrom-- even a Rickenbacker 330 on the wall. The selection changes pretty regularly, and consists largely of electric guitars and basses, amps, and acoustic guitars/banjos/mandolins/violins. A few keyboards and percussion too. The selection has grown since they recently moved up the street. GREAT selection of accessories too-- surprisingly large selection of instrument cases. Don is great-- always shoots you straight, great advice and he has a great team. Having shopped around Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette and Louisville for my go-to store and luthier, Don and Jensen Guitars are it.

Couldn't be more satisfied with my Eastman E20SS bought this week from Jensen's Guitars. Don and his team were phenomenal to work with, and I'll definitely be a frequent customer.

I didn't end up finding what I needed here, but the service was out of this world, and I absolutely would recommend these guys for guitar and guitar related needs. Super friendly vibe as well!

I ordered a lefty G&L Tribute Legacy Blue from California and I couldn't be happier. It arrived in the time expected and in better quality that I've ever received other guitars from a major retailer. Thank you guys for offering lefties options and for the amazing customer service I received when inquiring about the guitar's specs.

Need adjustments for thicker gauge strings. 9 days after I dropped her off she was ready for pickup! I never thought my guitar could play and feel better but it does. Thanks Dakota you da man!!

Highly recommend. Terrific customer service and restringing my daughters acoustic guitar! Very reasonable and quick too. Just waited about 20 mins.

I've had several instruments and amplifiers repaired, modified of maintained here. Always excellent in every respect. Great place to purchase gear, also.

This is a great local music store, just the kind of place I love to do business with. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful and willing to assist. They can do it all: tune up your instruments, help you find the right strings, talk guitars and I think they even offer lessons in back if you're just getting started. Five Stars:

I had to bring a violin here and after being quoted a week and a half for a one hour repair I did not even get a phone call wiithin 2 and half weeks. I gave them a call and they told me it was still not done. I waited more time till it was nearly a month and went into the store. It was Thursday and I was told it would be done by the end of Friday.and then it was Monday. I gave them a call again and I was told it was complete and that he called me. I later came in to pick up the violin and paid. I used it once and the sound post came loose I had to bring it back in and it was fixed right away. I checked the number they had and they wrote an incorrect phone number for me. The bridge then broke off again proving to be a lousy job they did and a waste of money.
