Great service from George the bartender! He was amazing as was the food and drinks. I had vodka water and my hubby had a White Russian. I had the salmon with vegetables and the hubby had the nachos. Everything was amazing. We both had dinner salads too! All was great. Highly recommended.

My husband & I are full-time residents & enjoy going to the casinos. We have many to chose from and tend frequent those with friendly staff, good food & entertainment. Friends recently gave us tickets for the Santana tribute show & we chose Jem Cafe for a pre-show dinner. It was our first time there and we ordered the fajitas. The service was excellent & the food was good and the prices we're reasonable.
So we returned to Jem last evening with out-of-town guests. The experience was awful! Our server ignored us to the point that we finally spoke to the manager. The food was cold and our plates & glasses were finally cleared by other servers who pitched in to help. Needless to say, we will not be returning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel D.Indio, CA141135461Sep 23, 2017
Yay! It's my third time here with my partner and there's never anything to complain about. I don't really eat that oh so "fancy" food much but this is good. I realized that fine dining is just the same food served presented differently and priced high. The service is what I felt like I paid for of course.
Service: our server Rosa was great! She's was talkative and guided us through the special for the night and drinks and of course her suggestions. Aracely checked up on us she was like a busser or whatever but managed to make way to our table a few times since the restaurant was decently busy.
Food: The lobster was great! I got the Surf and Turf. I enjoyed it more than the all you can eat lobster of course. It was like twice the size and almost too big to fit on the perfectly plated plate lol. Im not a fan of red meats but the filet mignon was tasty and red and bloody but melted in my mouth when I tried it. She suggested medium so I got it and yeah bloody like I expected but tasted good, even better without the A1 sauce.
I will be back of course since this is a casino enjoy compared to other ones. Not too busy of a restaurant but busy enough for the staff to forget about me which is a good thing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - J K.Beaumont, CA753210Jun 19, 2018
We were here for the only reason any normal group of people would venture this far - a concert. Nobody in the casino was going to spend their money in a steakhouse. So when we walked in at 6:10 to a half empty restaurant and asked to be seated, a woman hostess said "absolutely not. We are booked for the night. We are only accepting our reservations and there are no reservations left. Do you see the people out there?" The lady was literally turning away $$$$. So, we walk out and I tell my friend to check Open Table and see if we can make a reservation on there. One is available in 5 minutes, so we make the reservation online, literally walk back in and say "we have a reservation". The lady looked like she saw a ghost and ran to get her male manager. He doesn't greet us and says "we know you were just here and we will seat you, but we have no obligation to seat reservations that are made in the last 24 hours on Open Table". True story. So finally we are seated....
From then on, service was good, food was delicious, but our initial interaction with the restaurant causes me to subtract 2 stars. They were lucky to earn our $200 dollar bill, plus drinks and tip, that night! Out of pure stubbornness, if I ever go to a concert there again, I will be sure to eat at the plethora of restaurants in Palm Desert or Palm Springs.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Raquel L.Fontana, CA721211117Aug 23, 2018
The name fooled me. The location is inside the casino Bad customer service experience. The restaurant was practically empty we were told our food would not be able to be placed until and hour or so for whatever reason. We decided to stay and ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers. The waitress did not bother to check on our table. We decided to pay and return at a later time. When we returned the restaurant was again practically empty. As I'm reading their short list of items offered and prices I kind of had and idea the food would be as bad as the service. We ordered the breakfast steak and eggs. I ordered my steak medium well I got it well done very dry hard to chew. The potatoes were flavorless and dry as the steak. We decided to order a cheesecake and upside down coconut pound cake that looked nothing like one and tasted like the cheesecake but dry.

Not Good.
10 of us for dinner ordering off the regular menu. Cheesy bread was the best part of the entire experience. The main server was second best.
Pasta with shrimp was cold, runny, bland and the shrimp was nasty bad.
Chicken Picatta was rubbery even though the sauce was good.
Fish and chips were cold. Not warm but COLD. No joke COLD.
Burger was ordered Medium Rare. Came out super well done. Sent it back. Came back again as a well done hockey puck.
Rib Eye steak was ordered medium rare but came out Medium Well. Mashed potatoes were good.
If I could separate food from service got star rating, Food would be 0.5 stars and Service gets 4 stars.

Coconut shrimp was delicious.rib eye dinner was so good and these are the best vegetables I've had out in a while they were cooked perfectly. Wedge salad was so cool and crisp with yummy dressing. My husband loved his rib dinner. We will go back to try the philly sandwich next time. Everything including the service and quiet atmosphere was great!!

Had some extra dining vouchers to eat at JEM with my wife before it closed @ 11pm.. As it said on Yelp.
Disappointed that they were already closed @ 830pm???? So do I need to make a reservation just to keep it open??
Now I see the hours 4p - close meaning whenever they want to.. Great, Ill give it another shot this Sunday.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anne E.Chiriaco Summit, CA0491Aug 8, 2020

Our first time here. We were greeted and seated quickly. We had the Mexican style shrimp cocktail and it was yummy. Will definitely return!
