The folks at Jefferson Vet Clinic are truly the BEST! They take care of my beloved Boston Terrier, Junebug. My dog/sidekick is my best friend and the love of my life, so you can imagine that the trust and care that I have for this place and these people is very high indeed.

We have been customers here for years, and Junebug has always been the poster child for an athletic and healthy dog. However, recently she has been a little down and low energy with other signs of aging too (she's 10). I brought her in to see Dr. Mandel and she was very sensitive to my overly concerned dog mom ways. We started with blood work, which came back abnormal ... super scary! Dr. Mandel spent time with me going over different scenarios. She got a radiologist there FAST; this was good because I didn't have much time to spend on the internet with Dr Google... We have been going through a series of testing so Junebug has been spending more time at the clinic, and I just can't say enough about the Vet Techs, they truly love animals, and you can see it in the way they care for their patients.

Dr. Mandel has changed Junebug's food and diet, and after only a week my dog feels so much better, she is more active and back to her 10 year old puppy ways. We will continue to monitor her blood work and watch for any changes. I feel completely satisfied that we have ruled out any big health issues that would alter my dogs health and way of life.

I can sleep better at night knowing that my little Junebug is in the care of Jefferson Vet Clinic, you can't put a price tag on that!

Dr. Mandell is a great vet! She is highly skilled, compassionate, caring, thorough, and very knowledgeable. She is the first vet who has taken an interest in my middle-aged cat named, Baby Cat. She is named Baby Cat because she is 6.82 lbs. and still looks like a kitten. She has been tiny her entire life and has several health issues. After just one visit, Dr. Mandell fixed her breathing issues and we are working through Baby Cat's other health issues. I am confident Baby Cat is on the mend and it is refreshing to find a vet who cares and is knowledgeable about cats! Not easy to find a vet with this knowledge! Thank you, Dr. Mandell! Baby Cat and I are so happy we found you and we look forward to seeing you at our next visit.

Dr. Mandel and her entire staff have always gone above and beyond for our dogs. I would not take them to anyone else. She is very caring and treats my dogs as her own. She has wonderful follow up and always calls to see how the dog is progressing. Three years ago, when it time to say goodbye to my 14 year old golden, Carol Mandel sat on the floor with me for a good 10 minutes after my dog was gone and even though she had other clients, she did not rush me out. I feel that Dr. Mandel empathizes with all of her clients...human or animals!

Dr. Mandel at Jefferson Park Veterinary Clinic cares about your pets health and well being...
She was willing to get our chihuahua Gabby in for dental surgery with-in 10-days removing 3-teeth after our regular vet declined treatment due to Gabby's age of 16 (they recommended a dental specialist which required waiting 6-weeks for a basic exam and then another month for a surgery date).
She has also called and texted several times to check up on her progress and given further recommendations for her care in the past 3-days.
I have know Dr. Mandel for over 25-years and I can't recommend her and her staff enough...a place you can trust to have your pets best interest at heart.
PS: the procedure was also fairly priced vs. other quotes we received.

It's been a couple years since I've been there as I've moved but felt the need to write this review. Dr. Mandell took amazing care of my cat Angel when she was diagnosed with multiple illnesses which required extreme and detail oriented care. Looking at the care she received in Las Vegas where I moved it fails in comparison. I am so fortunate I lived in the Sacramento area when all this happened to Angel and had a doctor who I felt put her heart into treating her. You have the peace of mind when you take your pets here that they are getting compassionate and dedicated care:)

Love this veterinary clinic and truly grateful to have Dr Mandel as my kitties veterinarian. Recently one of my fur babies got extremely sick and had to be seen by the emergency veterinarian, twice.

I asked that the records be transferred and Dr Mandel texted me personally on a Friday to check on Mitzy. The records indicated that she had over a 105 fever at the ER vet measured during intake. A fever they had not mentioned to me when suggesting that an ultrasound was indicated ($2500 went to the ER vet over 2 visits).

Dr Mandel prescribed antibiotics and went out of her way to get me fluids over the weekend so I could keep her hydrated subcutaneously. Mitzy is well now and I am so grateful for the care she's received at Jefferson Park veterinary clinic. They are doing a fantastic job! Highly recommended.

Dr Mandel and the staff always go above and beyond. I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else but their partner Vista 24 hr emergency vet.

If I was allowed to give 100 stars I would! The staff here are incredibly amazing, so helpful and Dr. Mandell is an absolute angel. I've had my dog for nine years and have been a VCA Westside patient from the beginning. Most recently in the last year we adopted a cat. Her being a cat, knocked over a glass vase. Long story short, she sliced her paw pad open. The VCA was booked out for over a month. We went to the emergency clinic, which is a whole other story and I emailed and reached out to their office on a Saturday night at 9 o'clock not expecting a response but within 30 minutes I received an actual email response from Dr. Mandel herself, I was able to send her pictures. Tell her the story, she squeezed us in within a couple days for a follow up status from her emergency visit elsewhere. They were completely honest, stating that the wound was healing nicely, and no further services would be necessary. I appreciated the honesty of the office, the quick response, and I am just completely overwhelmed with joy on how wonderful the experience was. They really do have the care and concern for the animal, where elsewhere I just felt like my pocket book was the only concern . This clinic is our new furry family members vet.

We left our old vet because of their lack of interest, for our concerns about our pets..Dr Mandell and the staff at Jefferson Park have been fully invested in our pets well being from the beginning. Every question I have is answered, and explained fully. Dr Mandell has taken the time on more than one occasion to actually talk to me about my pets, instead of brushing me off. I truly appreciate the care that is being given to our pets, and to us!

Hi there,

I wanted to give a shout-out to the staff at the clinic this morning. On my way to work I came across a lost puppy in the middle of the road by Raley Field. Luckily the puppy was super sweet & decided to join me on an adventure to find its way back home. I then stopped by Jefferson Park to ask for advice on how to get the puppy back home safely since it didn't have a tag.

The staff didn't hesitate to check for a micro chip & offered to reunite it back with its family.

Annual checkup for Odin and Pebbles. Odin always has his ear issues and Pebbles is just getting her shots. Been going here for 7 years and my kids are healthy.
