JD's Mission Steakhouse offers a variety of steaks, including dry-aged cuts, alongside burgers, sandwiches, and seafood dishes. They are known for their generous portions and friendly service.
We were a party of 3 and enjoyed their perfectly cooked delicious dry-aged steaks. We also took advantage of their reasonable corkage fee with a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that perfectly complemented the meal and our dining experience.
Overall, JD's Mission Steakhouse is one of the better options in the Inland Empire for a casual dining experience with a focus on steaks and American cuisine.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Zoe O.Riverside, CA15Mar 8, 2024
The customer service was the better part of
the meal. The food was filling but tasteless
so it wasn't the best experience. The kiddos
mac and cheese went untouched because it
looked and tasted of pasta cooked in milk.
The meats were just okay, but again
flavorless.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - Bianca R.San Francisco, CA02412Feb 29, 2024
I was really excited to try this place. But the variety of food wasn't worth it.
Service was decent they we're friendly. However we didn't appreciate that the only meat..."steak" section was being monitored lol. It was good but the serving was very little and you have to keep going back. It didn't feel like a buffet. I'm not sure what the hype was.
It is a "mom and pop vibe" you're definitely eating here to support local businesses. Aside from that I don't think we'd go here again. It's not the SUNDAY brunch you'd expect. We weren't even full coming out and we paid $140Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - Dec 26, 2023
The IE needs a few more good old fashion steakhouses, and this one is pretty close. Adjacent to Flemings, Duane's and Sycamore Inn this is much more reasonable.
The food is delicious judging by many other patrons who have dined here and the quality of the dishes matches the prices of the plate. However, the inconsistent decor may negatively influence a dining experience starting with the red terra cotta flooring, the gawdy condiment organizer on each table, and inconsistent lighting throughout affecting the ambiance.
Regardless, besides the positive food reviews, there isn't much else to gloat about since there is no bar area, which I understand they recently obtained a liquor license, and there is construction happening preventing patrons from gaining access to the parking lot and visibility from the street.
Service was appreciative as our waitress was extremely friendly, attentive and courteous. She was kind in providing recommendations of the top items and seemed knowledgeable about the restaurant as well. I'm not sure I'll return right away, but its nice to know there is an upcoming restaurant around the corner from us.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jean S.Corona, CA5522Feb 18, 2024
Went for a bike ride tonight to a place my boyfriend found on Facebook and talk about
"A FIND" . This place was OUTSTANDING . Yasmin was our waitress and she was AMAZING. She was polite , she had a smile and she was very attentive . The food was REMARKABLE. The BEST EXPERIENCE in a restaurant BY FAR in years. The OWNER HIMSELF was even checking on the customers . It's will now be OUR FAVORITE and not only will we return , we are going to recommend it to all our friends and family. So THANK-YOU TO EVERYONE AND THE CHEF OF COURSE FOR making sure we ENJOYED A FANTASTIC dinner to remember. See you AGAIN SOON- Crème brûlée was so YUMMY the PERFECT Ending to such A WONDERFUL evening out.
100% GUARANTEED SCRUMPTIOUS FOOD That will satisfy all your taste buds.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 19, 2023
First time here and the hubby & I made a reservation for a birthday dinner. We were looking forward to a nice romantic fine dinning experience.
It wasn't what we expected. There were things I liked and things I didn't.
First, what I liked:
The staff was friendly and we were seated right away on a Sunday evening.
I had the cedar planked Salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus and hubby had the 14oz Ribeye steak with baked potato and corn. Both were plated beautifully.
The salmon was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. It was excellent! The asparagus was thick and cooked right but not trimmed properly. I did'nt care for the mashed potatoes. They seemed more like a watered down version instead of a creamy thick mash. My hubby said the ribeye was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. His side of corn was good but the baked potato wasn't. Not sure what was going on with the potatoes.
Next they brought us a complimentary birthday desert. It was a simple but delicious warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream.
Now the things I didn't like:
The decor had more of a pizza place vibe then a pricy fine(?) dining steakhouse. There are several TV's on the walls with sports on. The standard booths and tables (also saw long family tables) are dressed(?) up with black table cloths. They sat us in a booth where I was facing the opening to the kitchen drink/storage area. Each table has a selection of condiments that included ketchup, steak sauce and hot sauces. You shouldn't need that with good food. They played 80's music the entire time and according to our server they do this every night. So, every time you come that's what you'll hear.
I assume they are trying to appeal to a more casual demographic, but with food as good as theirs and $90 for 2 meals I would have liked a more befitting ambiance. I appreciate the good food but at those prices I just want something nicer then sports TV and 80's music. Because the food is good, as long as you know what to expect and you don't mind, then you should check this place out.Helpful 6Thanks 3Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nov 5, 2023
First off, the biscuits here are REALLY GOOD! I can't stress it enough!! Goood, Good biscuits!!!! Like slap your mama in the mouth good ! Ok I had to get that out of the way! This is my first time here and the neighborhood wasn't exactly inspiring. Not necessarly dangerous or anything just a bit run down. Totally not the restaurant's fault but this isn't the Hamptons, trust me. As a matter of fact the restaurant is like a oasis and once you're inside, everything is neat and clean.
The hostess was nice enough but the place was EMPTY. It probably seats 100 people but it was just us and another family of four. No complaints from me but probably not good for the restaurant's bottom line.
On another note they give you a lot of food, A LOT! That's not really a bad thing but there was so much food! I had the steak which was sooo good! Juicy and tender, cooked like I like it! As good as the steak was it didn't surpass the biscuits but it was pretty tasty!
The ribs were also very good and, once again, the portion is HUGE! If you're hungry, definitely check out this place, you'll leave with your tummy full!
Anyways this is a decent, diamond in the rough spot that looks better on the inside than the outside and you'll be glad you stopped by!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 3 - Mary J.Rancho Cucamonga, CA0178Feb 19, 2024
First time at this restaurant, party of 15.. celebrating my mom's birthday. We came here because of the reviews.
..but here it is:
The restrooms were a disaster the entire time there. Like disgusting. The bathroom floors looked like they haven't been cleaned in a very long time. Keep in mind, I got there at 3pm and we didn't leave until about 7:30/8pm..
We need plates, ok. These cutting boards are gross.
Steaks were cooked correctly. However, the sides definitely needed help.
The chipotle mac & cheese lacked cheese and was watery.
Brussel sprouts had way too much glaze on them and the bacon was way too hard to chew.
The guacamole appetizer.. we literally had to send it back. They gave us old guacamole, and the color was grayish instead of bright green. The chips were too thick, part of the chips were crunchy and other parts were chewy... maybe stale from being out too long ., but some of them were soggy.
Brownie dessert... Something about the brownie tasted way off, so we were only able to eat ice cream.
Churros dessert... This needs to be accompanied by some ice cream. Also, get the correct nozzle to get the correct shape, thickness and look.. This looks like a plate full of poops. They are extremely thick which will dry out your mouth for the rest of the night - not a good feeling.
I can go on and on ....
Bottom line, we will not be returning to this restaurant, nor will we be recommending it.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - 16296351Jan 25, 2024
I have seen this place multiple times in passing. We looked it up and the postings from others made the food look really good so we decided to stop by. What a good decision that was! Although the location is far to quiet for me (no background music), the food was delicious. Our waiter was on point and never missed a beat. The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious.
Chef Oscar came to greet us and made a huge impression on the four of us. I look forward to coming back once they have a full bar! this place is a must try and there wasn't a single meal that didn't hit the spotHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - Josie S.Riverside, CA1396256Nov 27, 2023
Came here on a whim after seeing a friend of mine. She was telling me about this bomb steakhouse in Jurupa Valley. My hubby and I were pretty hungry so we said why not and drove to the restaurant.
There was no real wait and we got seated pretty quickly. For appetizers, we had the shrimp cocktail which was yummy! For dinner my hubby ordered the rib eye (med rare- only way to eat it) with baked potato and chipotle macaroni and cheese. I had the 8oz filet mignon with roasted corn and rice pilaf. May I say my dish was yummy and my hubby said it was pretty tasty. For dessert, we had the apple streusel pie. It was pretty decadent and my hubby bakes pretty awesome apple pies!
Service was really good. The ambiance is casual and the bench seats were nice and comfy. You guys really have to try this place!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0
