Nette Runde in dem Restaurant, das wirkt, als säße man in einem Bistro in Paris. Ich war zum ersten Mal bei diesem Franzosen und bin angetan. Die Gerichte stehen auf einer großen Tafel und das Personal kennt sich aus.
Offensichtlich wird hier frisch gekocht, da die Kellnerin nicht nur wusste, welche Zutaten in den Gerichten verarbeitet sind sondern auch Änderungen keinerlei Schwierigkeiten bereiten.
Ich hatte eine aromatische Fischsuppe und danach einen Flammkuchen mit Jakobsmuscheln. Beides findet man nicht an jeder Straßenecke.

After traveling for over an hour to get here they decided that they weren't busy enough to keep the kitchen open so they closed the kitchen and hour and half early. Wasted trip and so far from the airport.

This place is really good.

The Ochsenfleisch was truly outstanding (slow cooked beef for over 24 hours in Merlot sauce).

The scallops appetizer was also very nice.

Service was fantastic and the Dry Riesling was incredible. I unfortunately can't recall which one we had, but it was head and shoulders above all of the Rieslings I've ever tried in the US... so... when in Germany.

Cool area of Frankfurt, too.

We had a wonderful night at Jasper's. They offer a nice mix of French and German dishes in an atmosphere that reminded me of some of the places I miss from when I used to live in Paris. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They allowed us to practice our German but jumped in at the right time when we got stuck. I always appreciate this a lot. We started with a glass of rose champagne and foie gras with brioche appetizer. I had a beautiful magret de canard while my wife enjoyed the mushroom and chicken terrine. Both of us enjoyed our main dishes very much. For dessert I went with the Apfel tarte while my wife had the chocolate mousse which we washed down with an espresso. We found the wine list provided a nice variety of local and international wines at accessible prices. I think we've found a new favourite spot to take friends when we're looking for a high quality meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
