Jasmine

I haven't been to Jasmine since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 . I thought I would wait and see if they would resume their incredibly great noontime buffet but it seems like that is not in their immediate future. I figured I would make the drive up from Rhode Island and have lunch recently , choosing from their  lunch combo menu. I ordered the Hunan chicken combo and I was not disappointed . The flavor and quality was very very good !  The right amount of spiciness and tender chicken and vegetables . Service was good.
What shocked me was there were only 8 other people in the restaurant at noontime . When the buffet was offered  I used to get here early just to get a seat !  I am probably not alone in hoping someday they might consider bringing back the buffet - I understand the buffet was probably more work for management but I also think people would be willing to pay more for the choice.  I always thought 10 dollars was too inexpensive.
I will continue to make the long drive here in the future but not as frequently ( 2X monthly )as I previously did when the noontime  buffet was offered .

Again I want to reiterate that the food is excellent and I will  still visit this restaurant in the future .

I guess I'm behind on reviews seeing as it's 2 1/2 months since we went here for Christmas Eve dinner!!!

It was our first time here, we've heard a lot about it and it's very popular, but we had our favorite Chinese restaurant for 40 years, but they have slowly gone downhill and we need to find a new Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful and seemed very clean. It was busy, but we were seated right away. We ordered our meal and a couple pineapple passions. Everything came quickly and our meal was delicious and hot. Our drinks? They were lame, we couldn't taste any alcohol whatsoever. My husband ordered a beer for his second drink because of the weakness of the drinks and I ordered a ginger ale. I would go for the food again, but not the drinks. But, if you can't get a good drink what's the point?i

Went to Jasmine for hibachi to celebrate a family member's high school graduation. The food was excellent, but the service was very weird. The host and waitstaff were obviously annoyed with our party because we didn't all arrive together (everyone showed up within 5 mins), then they rushed us through our meal--taking plates away before people were done and aggressively asking us if we wanted anything else, obviously just to hurry us along. The hibachi chef basically refused to leave until we gave him a cash tip (I've tipped on a credit card there in the past), so another guest and I had to leave in the middle of our meal to go across the street to a convenience store to use the ATM. By the time we got back, there was already a to-go box waiting next to my food. The chef also kept insisting that we post pictures of him to Instagram and tag him, all while we were trying to eat. Got the check and saw that gratuity was added, which was fine. But then, the server stood over me while I was signing the bill, telling me that I should add more because servers there have to split their tips with the chefs. We already tipped the chef separately. She wouldn't go away until I added the extra tip and signed the check. It was just a super uncomfortable experience that has turned me off to Jasmine's for good.

Both times I have been here we have gone for hibachi. The hibachi cooks are good - they put on a great show. That's about where my praise for this place ends.

I tried to talk to the staff before sitting down about what items are vegan so I wouldn't have to be going back and forth with the waitress. She gave me a handful of ideas, so that's what my wife and I ordered. Unfortunately those things come with salad that they delivered and told me the dressing all over it was not vegan (cool, thanks). The food itself was fairly bland and nondescript American Chinese food. The second time I came here I ordered vegetable sushi, and when it was delivered had egg in it that was not on the menu. The waitress also added an 18% gratuity to the bill (for our group of FIVE, not six) and was pushy about asking for more of a tip on top of that? Yeah, I'm not coming back here.

So my typical order is the pu-pu platter, and I can't complain much.  The Boneless Spare Ribs, Chicken Fingers, Pork Fried Rice, Chicken Fingers all came cooked properly and the service was prompt.

This has to be my favorite Chinese food/ hibachi place! It is so so good everyone I go here. It's nice and clean, the food is fresh and the people are so nice! I've had there Chinese food and hibachi and it's always so tasty, full of flavor and just so good!!

Hibachi review ... The food was good. They give decent proportions. The cook was wonderful and put on a great show.
However, the service was not great. We sat with empty bowls from the salad and soup the cluttering the table thru dinner. We were not offered a drink refill. A guest from our party had to get up and find someone to come fill our empty waters, and order drinks. When the check came, there was an automatic 18% percent gratuity added which was expected, but when the check was handed to us, the waitress said "more, more" while gesturing to the already added gratuity. I wasn't impressed at all.

Had an amazing meal and the service was spectacular! I've only been in MA a dozen times since moving 25 years ago. I have my go to Chinese restaurants and found out none offered dine-in. Since I needed my fix and wanted a scorpion bowl, my friend said this was a good place to eat. It did not disappoint. It may take me a few years, but I'll be back here when I do!

Just visiting Mass for a few days and I was told by the locals that this was the best Chinese restaurant around.  
I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and Crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon came out with a duck sauce and the fried rice had pork in it. The Chicken was a little bit over breaded but had a nice flavorful sweet cherry and pineapple sauce.  
The waiter was very friendly and well mannered and the restaurant appeared to be clean.

I'd recommend.

Back at it after the LONG COVID hiatus, and better than ever. Certainly Justin made the grade with friendly personable service. Food and drinks excellent too. The pictures say a lot and our taste buds would too if it were not for our mouths being continuously full. Glad we ventured out on Christmas Day.
