Moved from Chicago to Brookfield and needed to install a gate (property already had a fence) for my dogs. Reached out to several fence companies and Jacob Fence and Gate was very responsive and knowledgeable with the city of Brookfield's requirements. They worked with the city to schedule the inspections. In less than 2 weeks had the gate installed ... it is so beautiful, functional and just perfect. With work, new home purchase and selling our previous home we were super stretched. I communicated the entirely via email and text. I sent them what I had in mind (very rough picture...see attached) and they exceeded my expectations. We 150% recommend Jacob Fence and Gate. Price - their pricing is very competitive.

We had a cedar fence post break just before it got really cold. I called several places and so glad I went with Jacob Fence. Jovanni was great and was able to have someone come out the very next day. It only took them an hour and they had removed the old post and concreted in the new post and reattach it to the fence. We could not be happier.

THE BID: I had a project with a bit of complexity to it, and I wanted to see a couple different options in the bid that I requested from the 4 companies that quoted the project. Wilfredo at Jacob Fence was the only one of the 4 that showed me all the different options in the bid he provided. His bid was also much much more detailed than the other company's bids.

TIMING: Jacob was able to get my project schedule quite quickly. His schedule was as fast or faster than the others who bid

COMMUNICATION: Wilfredo was very good about keeping me in the loop on this project. From email and text mssgs he let me know when he was arriving, how permits where coming along, when the crew would arrive etc. I always knew what was going on with Jacobs.

SERVICE: Jacobs offered to take care of the permit for me since he was near the city office. Great! Then an issue came up with the permit and Wilfredo was helpful and patient as we went back and forth trying to resolve the city's issues. And because of the permit issues we needed to adjust our plans for the fence and Jacobs was great about working with me to redo bids, adjust etc.

WORKMANSHIP: On the day of the install, the crew arrived on time, got busy very quickly and in the end did a nice quality, tidy job. I'd requested some things be done in a very specific way that was a little different than normal. I was concerned that a contractor might not do a great job with steps that were divergent from their typical workflow. With Jacobs crew it wasn't a problem at all. They followed my request and did so very skillfully. In fact, at the end of the project they asked if they could take a few pictures and said they like what I did and would perhaps offer it to other clients.

INTEGRITY: Because of the adjustments to the project result from the permit issues, there was less work done than was originally bid. Wilfredo didn't hesitate a moment in adjusting the final invoice.

FOLLOW UP: I got a call a few days after the job was done checking to be sure I was happy with the job.

SUMMARY: I though every aspect of the project was handled professionally and that everyone I dealt with was friendly, efficient, and very good at their job. I'd use Jacob Fence again and I recommend them to my friends without hesitation

Jovanni replaced my existing fence and pergola this spring. He and his guy worked throughout the day, no lunch breaks. The whole process of removing the old setup and replacing took 2 days. He had the best bid we found, with the quickest turnaround. I've gotten so many compliments from neighbors and just people walking by about how gorgeous our fence and pergola looked. Admittedly, he is a little hard to get a hold of. But once you're in, you're solid.

We had high winds a month ago and the wind blew one of my chain link fence gate doors off. I called around to get quotes but people either didn't make their appointments or gave me a high quote without coming out to look at the job. All I needed was the hinges to be fixed and reconnected to the post. I continued to call around and came upon Jacob Fence & Gate and made an appointment with them. Someone from the company came out when they said they would and gave me a quote to fix the hinges on the gate door and also gave me a quote for two other gate door problems. The price was good! He came back out the next day as he said he would and fixed everything properly. I would call this company again.

I recently hired Jacob Fence & Gate, Inc. for a small job fence installation in my back yard. I have to tell you, I am extremely satisfied with everything about this company. My fence project is now complete and I'm 100% satisfied with the results. My house looks beautiful. Very professional, I was walked through the whole process and implementation.

Wonderful people to work with! Junior was very thorough in answering all of my questions while he prepared my estimate, and Jovani and his team were very good. Arrived on time, got right to work on a fence post that was smashed by a car. Installed a gorgeous iron gate with cedar panels. And Jovani even welded a hole in my other gate no charge because he knew I was having problems with it.

I actually just texted him to ask for an estimate on another part of my fence. I look forward to working with him and his team again.

Called and scheduled an estimate. Had some trouble communicating on the phone with customer service. She was more than distracted, got most of my information wrong. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when nobody showed up to our designated meeting time. Waited around for an hour. Tried calling both phone lines. Nobody ever returned my calls or apologized. Seems like another company might prefer my business instead.

First off, the fence looks great! Second, I am so very glad that I chose Jacob Fence. I replaced the fence on both sides of the house. The neighbor on one side had posts with chicken wire and it was god awful. I spent so much time weeding part of his yard so it wouldn't take over. It really looked bad. Neither neighbor wanted to spend money to make the improvement so I decided to bite the bullet and replace it all. I got at least 5 quotes and most were higher than Jacob and for the ones that were lower, I had to read the fine print because they didn't include things like removal of the current fence or getting the permit. I called some of the companies that do a lot of work in Brookfield. From one of the companies, the salesman said, since I like you, I'll give you a discount. The quote was about 1,500 more than Jacob for the same fence. I wonder what the estimate would have been if he didn't like me. Getting the permit might not seem like a big deal, but the Village isn't always cooperative so best I didn't have to deal. The one thing that I heard from the fence installers was that because of COVID, there was some delay on the vinyl fence. Jovani from Jacob was very open about it. He gave me the suppliers phone number so that I could track it as well. Once the materials came in, Jovani's team got the fence done in 1.5 days. They came in the morning on one day and were done late morning the next day. They removed the old fence, put in the posts for the new fence, installed it, cleaned up and they were in their way. One thing I should also mention is that we had them put the entire fence on my property. That meant drilling into a relatively new concrete driveway and they did a great job in ensuring there weren't any cracks. I am really happy that I chose Jacob Fence.
