John Kuo, MD PhD - IVF Fertility Center

Dr. Kuo is simply the best. The members of his care team including Eliana and Blue are equally amazing. What impressed me the most with Dr. Kuo aside from his qualifications was his attention to detail and how he treats his patients. He truly understands the hardship patients go through with infertility.

Whenever I had a question or concern, Dr. Kuo and the care team was always available. No other providers would give you their number and respond back to calls, emails or texts in an swift manner. Dr. Kuo cared more about quality than quantity. Unlike other IVF clinics, scheduling with his care team was never an issue and communication was top notch.

My IVF journey was an incredibly difficult one and we're so blessed to have him with us every step of the way. We had only 1 viable embryo and Dr. Kuo went above and beyond to make sure the implant window was right. At the moment of writing this review, our baby boy is at 39 weeks with our surrogate. None of this would've been possible if it weren't for Dr. Kuo, Eliana, Blue and his amazing team. We truly thank him and everyone there from the bottom of our heart.

We tried for a very long time and before selecting Dr. Kuo and his team -- we researched doctors and interviewed 3 other doctors and IVF clinics before selecting Dr. Kuo and his team. When I mean "interview", I paid for testing, I paid for a review of my medical records, and I listened to their opinions, and I met the staff for each of the teams I interviewed. After that, I selected Dr. Kuo and his team because they truly made me feel like a priority, gave me personal attention, did not treat me like my IVF journey was the same as others, and helped with honest and sincerity.

Dr. Kuo's fees are really reasonable (trust me I checked). He really spends A LOT more time with his patients than any other doctor that I have ever met. I always saw Dr. Kuo at every appointment. And, Eliana and Blue made it easy for me to speak to them about any of my concerns especially if I wanted more clarification. For each appointment that I went to, Dr. Kuo always knew the facts of my journey, answered my questions thoroughly, never made me wait (in the office or through texting), and I always felt like the only person in their Office with their undivided attention when I was there. I never felt like just another "#" -- Dr. Kuo and his team really wanted me and my husband to be successful. I have been to other places where the doctor treated me like a generic IVF case and did not recall the facts to my case until I pointed out XYZ. This never happened with Dr. Kuo or his team.

When Dr. Kuo had to deliver bad news to me -- he did so with compassion and empathy for everything I was going through. He answered my questions thoughtfully. And, Eliana and Blue were always there to cheer me on. They truly are a special team. At one point, Dr. Kuo discovered that I had precancer cells in my lining. This was very bad news especially before implant. Dr. Kuo referred me to his colleague for treatment and was supportive of me throughout the process.

Ultimately, we had to go with a surrogate and Dr. Kuo meticulously reviewed her medical records and asked follow-up questions before giving his medical clearance. This was so important to me. Eliana and Blue were so very kind to my surrogate because we only had 1 embryo so had to go through 1-2 ERA cycles. This was difficult but I trusted Dr. Kuo and it was the right decision.

Dr. Kuo, Eliana, Blue and their team are truly angels that stood by us during the most difficult journey. With everyone's love and support, with 1 embroyo, we are now at 39 weeks and awaiting the arrival of our son. I wrote this at the end of our journey to say that they have been the best part of this process. Their genuine happiness, support, and love was the best part of the journey. There was no better image or video than the one Dr. Kuo and his team took for us when we found out we were pregnant. There has never been a more loving and excited team than the one at their Office. If only he was my OBG and delivered my baby, it would be a perfect ending.

Thank you Dr. Kuo, Eliana, Blue, and the amazing team at IVF Fertility Center. The two hour drive to see you was always worth it because we knew how much you care about our journey. We appreciate you!

Dr. Kuo and his staff at IVF Fertility Center are just simply amazing. We always knew we would need assistance to have a baby but we never thought we would require IVF. After trying other things with several doctors, we began IVF at a different clinic closer to home in 2022. This was unsuccessful and honestly just a horrible experience.

But luckily, this year, I found Dr. Kuo! He is a meticulous and detail-oriented doctor who treats every individual according to their specific body and needs. This was something I did not get at other clinics! He does every ultrasound himself and gives you a direct line to him and his nurse coordinator to use at any time. And every cycle runs according to your body- so he sees patients 7 days a week and is always on time.

Dr. Kuo's staff was also awesome. I worked with both Blue and Eliana who always made sure everything was perfect each visit and were very responsive when needed.

Thanks to Dr. Kuo and everyone at IVF Fertility Center, we are now expecting twins this year! We are so happy to have found the best IVF clinic and to finally have success after years of failure. Don't waste your time anywhere else!

Ever since my wife's first miscarriage the troubles with conceiving began. After failed treatment attempts with another fertility doctor, we decided to make an appointment with Dr. Kuo. The difference is night and day.

Dr. Kuo has a tenacity for detail. He doesn't rush things and took the time to fully understand our situation before tailoring a treatment plan. After our initial visit I said to my wife, this man probably teaches other doctors. One of Dr. Kuo's greatest strengths would be his communication. He explains the science and procedures very clearly, keeping expectations realistic. With his services you will get a group chat with him and his assistants (this was a lifesaver for us at times of need). He is very responsive in the chat, no vague one email a day responses here.

This also couldn't happen without our fertility nurse Blue and Papa Kuo (Dr. Kuo's father). Blue kept my wife's spirit high during this anxiety filled journey and helped re-explain anything we needed. Papa Kuo is the injection guru and taught us how to administer the at home injections. He is a funny and caring man. Thank you both!

The lab Dr. Kuo collaborates with is in the same building which makes things convenient. Both his office and the lab are state of the art.

Dr. Kuo truly cares for his patients. His professionalism and work ethic is awe-inspiring. Thank you for everything you do!

To the husbands, this is a very arduous journey for the wife. You will need to help manage the to do list, administer the injections, and provide moral support. Stay strong for her.

We had consulted a few other IVF doctors before finding Dr. Kuo, but after some research we found Dr. Kuo and after we read his reviews, we decided to schedule a consultation with him. From the moment we had our initial consult with him, it was only positive experiences from that point on. Our amazing nurse Blue keeps us informed about all important details and she was always next to us throughout our challenging journey.The entire staff also were very kind and efficient.  Dr Kuo was always there to answer our questions and address any concerns we had. It was a great advantage to have his support, and we always felt like we had someone by our side. I am currently 11 weeks pregnant, and even though we graduated from his office last week, Dr. Kuo continues to provide us with support. He follows up with us to ensure everything is going well. We consider ourselves lucky to have found him and his team, as they were all truly incredible!

We recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy. He's 1 month now. After having no success at another clinic, we traveled from San Francisco to LA to see Dr. Kuo and our first egg retrieval and first transfer worked. We still have 16 genetically normal frozen embryos on ice.

All the reviews on here are 100% accurate about Dr. Kuo and his clinic. We plan on coming back for a second transfer soon.

We went through egg retrieval and embryo transfer processes with Dr. Kuo. Dr. Kuo always provides clear and thorough explanations of treatment options and procedures. He customizes treatment plan for each patient individually based on their body and circle. When we message him with our questions, his response is always in lightning speed. Our fertility nurse Blue consistently follows up to remind us of upcoming appointments, medications need to be taken, the necessary cares after procedures and a lot of other miscellaneous but important items. Going through the process can be emotionally draining. Blue has always showed empathy and understanding towards our needs and concerns. She is always there to cheer us up through all the ups and downs. We were also touched by Martin (Papa Kuo) who left his phone number to us and answered our call very late in the day when we had a question about injections.

We cannot thank Dr. Kuo and his team enough. The entire team has gone above and beyond to make sure each patient is treated as their VIP. They prioritize quality over quantity. We highly recommend Dr. Kuo and his team to anyone who is seeking fertility treatments.

Dr. Kuo is exactly what I was looking for in a fertility doctor. He is extremely competent, kind, empathetic, and detail-oriented. He was confident in helping me achieve my dreams. Most importantly, what I found truly valuable was that he was available and responsive.

No words can describe the level of professionalism, diligence and compassion that Dr. Kuo and his wonder staff, especially Blue provided us.

We had been through several unsuccessful attempts of IVF in the past.
My problem with the previous IVF treatments was the process being a completely black box experience (no communication when things went right or wrong). In addition to that, our previous IVF doctor told us we should not pursue any additional IVF treats.

Every visit felt like a first class VIP service.

We came to Dr. Kuo's clinic for help following OB's recommendation. Due to Covid restrictions, we completed our first consultation with Dr. Kuo via video. We were impressed with Dr. Kuo's experience. He gave us lots of valuable information about IVF, especially details on the actions for each step during the first meeting. Dr. Kuo's professionalism and gentle attitude towards patients make us feel at ease and we are determined to continue to seek help from Dr. Kuo. We have been very happy with our decision since then.

During the IVF treatment process, Dr. Kuo and his team kept monitoring my conditions and actively modifying treatment plan for each cycle to achieve the best quality of embryo. Dr. Kuo kept us informed with all the test results and went over the details of our treatment calendar with us in every office visit. Dr. Kuo also always responded to our questions in time, even at night and during weekend.

Dr. Kuo's excellent skills for egg retrieval and embryo transfer greatly helped increasing the successful rate for us. We got successful result in the end. A baby chose us to be her parents. We still remember vividly the smile on Dr. Kuo's face when he told us the good result and congratulated us. We were deeply moved by his sincerity.

His team is amazing too. All the nurses and assistants are very nice and professional. They made us feel easy during all the visits.

Special praise goes to Patient IVF Coordinator Blue, who thoughtfully provided us with a lot of help throughout the entire IVF process. Initially, we were placed on the waiting list and told the waiting period to see Dr. Kuo might be as long as 8 months. As soon as on time slot became available, Blue contacted us immediately to help us schedule a consultation with Dr. Kuo. After the consultation, she helped us set up a chat group for communication. For every subsequent follow-up appointment, she promptly confirmed the appointment time, medication order, and all other matters related to the office visit. The most important thing is that her positive attitude provided us energy, emotional support and encouragement when we were nervous and anxious. I was happy every time I met her. She brought us not only excellent service, but also good luck.

Even after we "graduated" from Dr. Kuo's clinic, Dr. Kuo and his team still respond to our questions and check on the status of our baby. We strongly recommend Dr. Kuo and his team to anyone who is seeking IVF help.
